BROOKS TO ALSO TAKE THE STAGE FOR
HIGHLY ANTICIPATED PERFORMANCE

The “2020 Billboard Music Awards” Airs
Wednesday, April 29 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on NBC

dick clark productions and NBC announced today that Garth Brooks will receive the coveted ICON Award at the “2020 Billboard Music Awards.” The 19-time Billboard Music Award winner, who joins only eight other artists to ever receive the honor, will also take the stage for a highly anticipated performance.

A true legend, Brooks is the first and only artist in history to achieve eight diamond-certified albums at over 10 million album sales each. He remains the #1-selling solo artist in U.S. history, certified by the RIAA with more than 156 million album sales.

The “2020 Billboard Music Awards” will broadcast live from Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and will feature this year’s hottest musical acts, unexpected collaborations and buzzworthy moments.

Brooks has earned nine No. 1 albums on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (the most of any country artist), with chart-toppers in the ’90s, ’00s and ’10s. Seven of them debuted at No. 1. Brooks also claimed 17 No. 1s on the Top Country Albums chart and 89 hits on the Hot Country Songs chart including 19 No. 1s. Among those leaders: “Friends in Low Places,” “The Thunder Rolls,” “Ain’t Going Down (Til the Sun Comes Up),” “Longneck Bottle” and “More Than a Memory.”

In January, Billboard announced that Brooks became the first artist to have appeared on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in the ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s, ‘10s and ‘20s. Brooks first appeared on the chart after the release of his first album, Garth Brooks. Its first single, “Much Too Young (to Feel This Damn Old),” entered the chart in 1989 at No. 94 (when the ranking ran 100 positions deep). The track peaked at No. 8 that July, becoming Brooks’ first of 36 top 10s. Now, in the ’20s, he makes another appearance on the Hot Country Songs chart thanks to his collaborative track with Blake Shelton, “Dive Bar.” The single inspired a Dive Bar tour to dive bars in country music capitals around the U.S., which will continue its run through 2022.

In 2019, Brooks launched the Garth Brooks Stadium Tour, which has broken stadium attendance records at every stop so far and which Pollstar declared as the bestselling country music tour of the year. In 2017, Brooks finished the three-and-a-half-year long Garth Brooks World Tour with wife Trisha Yearwood. The tour sold over 6.3 million tickets, making it the biggest North American tour in history and the biggest American tour in the world.

Previous recipients of the ICON Award include Cher, Neil Diamond, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey.

“Billboard Music Awards” nominees and winners are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The awards are based on the chart period of March 23, 2019 through March 14, 2020. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of artists, songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of success in music.

The “2020 Billboard Music Awards” is produced by dick clark productions. Barry Adelman, Mark Bracco, Kelly Clarkson, Robert Deaton and Amy Thurlow are executive producers.

Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10:00 AM PST on Friday, February 28, 2020.  CLICK HERE to purchase.

About Black Christmas
Just in time for the holidays comes a timely take on a cult horror classic as a campus killer comes to face a formidable group of friends in sisterhood.

Hawthorne College is quieting down for the holidays. But as Riley Stone (Imogen Poots) and her Mu Kappa Epsilon sisters—athlete Marty (Lily Donoghue), rebel Kris (Aleyse Shannon), and foodie Jesse (Brittany O’Grady)—prepare to deck the halls with a series of seasonal parties, a black-masked stalker begins killing sorority women one by one.

As the body count rises, Riley and her squad start to question whether they can trust any man, including Marty’s beta-male boyfriend (Simon Mead), Riley’s new crush (Caleb Eberhardt) or even their esteemed classics professor (Cary Elwes). Whoever the killer is, he’s about to discover that this generation’s young women aren’t about to be anybody’s victims.

From director Sophia Takal (Always Shine) from the script she wrote with April Wolfe (Widower), comes a bold new take on the 1974 slasher classic produced by Jason Blum (Halloween, Split) for his Blumhouse Productions, by Ben Cosgrove (The Good German, Rumor Has It) and by Adam Hendricks (Cam, Bloodline, Lucky) for Divide/Conquer. Blumhouse’s Couper Samuelson and Jeanette Volturno will executive produce with Divide/Conquer’s Greg Gilreath and Zac Locke.

TOM HANKS TO RECEIVE CECIL B. DEMILLE AWARD AT 77TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS

TOM HANKS TO RECEIVE CECIL B. DEMILLE AWARD AT 77TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS

Ceremony to air LIVE coast-to-coast on
Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on NBC

Today, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced that eight-time Golden Globe winner and fifteen-time nominee, Tom Hanks, will be honored with the coveted Cecil B. deMille Award at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The highly-acclaimed star of such legendary films as “Big,” “Forrest Gump,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “Cast Away,” and the upcoming release of “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” will accept the honor at Hollywood’s Party of the Year® on Sunday, January 5, 2020 airing LIVE coast-to-coast from 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on NBC.

“The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is proud to bestow the 2020 Cecil B. deMille Award to Tom Hanks,” said HFPA President Lorenzo Soria. “For more than three decades, he’s captivated audiences with rich and playful characters that we’ve grown to love and admire. As compelling as he is on the silver screen, he’s equally so behind the camera as a writer, producer and director. We’re honored to include Mr. Hanks with such luminaries as Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Martin Scorsese, and Barbra Streisand to name a few.”

Chosen by the HFPA Board of Directors, the Cecil B. deMille Award is given annually to a talented individual who has made a lasting impact on the film industry. Honorees over the decades include Jeff Bridges, Robert De Niro, Audrey Hepburn, Harrison Ford, Jodie Foster, Sophia Loren, Sidney Poitier, Steven Spielberg, Denzel Washington, Robin Williams, and many more.

Hanks’ complex and moving performances have earned him the honor of being one of only two actors in history to win back-to-back Best Actor Academy Awards®, he won his first Oscar® in 1994 for his moving portrayal of AIDS-stricken lawyer Andrew Beckett in Jonathan Demme’s “Philadelphia.” The following year, he took home his second Oscar for his unforgettable performance in the title role of Robert Zemeckis’ “Forrest Gump.”  He also won the Golden Globe Award for both films, as well as a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award® for the latter.

In 2013, Hanks was seen starring in Golden Globe nominated film “Captain Phillips,” for which he received Golden Globe, SAG and BAFTA nominations as well as in AFI’s Movie of the Year “Saving Mr. Banks” with Emma Thompson. Hanks was most recently seen alongside Streep in Spielberg’s Golden Globe and Oscar nominated film “The Post,” for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe and won Best Actor with the National Board of Review. He will next be seen portraying Mr. Fred Rodgers in the upcoming biopic “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.” Additional upcoming projects include the WWII drama “Greyhound,” which he also wrote, the post-apocalyptic “BIOS” and Paul Greengrass’ pre-Civil War drama “News of the World.”

His other feature credits include the Tom Tykwer, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski film “Cloud Atlas;” Stephen Daldry’s “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close;” the animated adventure “The Polar Express,” which he also executive produced and which reunited him with director Robert Zemeckis; the Coen brothers’ “The Ladykillers;” Spielberg’s “The Terminal” and “Catch Me If You Can;” Sam Mendes’ “Road to Perdition;” Frank Darabont’s “The Green Mile;” Nora Ephron’s “You’ve Got Mail” and “Sleepless in Seattle;” Marshall’s “A League of Their Own;” Ron Howard’s “Apollo 13;” “The Da Vinci Code;” “Angels & Demons;” “Splash;” “Hologram for a King;” “Inferno;” “Sully;” and the computer-animated blockbusters “Cars,” “Toy Story,” “Toy Story 2,” “Toy Story 3” and “Toy Story 4.”

In 1996, Hanks made his successful feature film writing and directing debut with “That Thing You Do,” in which he also starred.  More recently, he wrote, produced, directed and starred in “Larry Crowne,” with Julia Roberts.  Hanks and Playtone produced 2002’s smash hit romantic comedy “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” with his wife Rita Wilson.  Other producing credits include “Where the Wild Things Are,” “The Polar Express,” “The Ant Bully,” “Charlie Wilson’s War,” “Mamma Mia!,” “The Great Buck Howard,” “Starter for 10,” and the HBO series “Big Love.”

In 2002, Hanks received the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award.

He was later honored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center with the Chaplin Award in 2009. In 2014, Hanks received a Kennedy Center Honor.

Produced by dick clark productions in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 210 territories worldwide. Lorenzo Soria is president of the HFPA. Allen Shapiro, Executive Chairman of dick clark productions, Mike Mahan, CEO of dick clark productions, and Barry Adelman, Executive VP of Television at dick clark productions will serve as executive producers.

dick clark productions and Tubefilter today announced the three finalists for the “Milk-Bone Dog of the Year Honor” at the 8th Annual Streamy Awards. And the finalists are Louboutina the Hugging Dog, Pierre Don’t Care and Todd the Hero Dog. Starting today, fans are able to vote for the three finalists on Twitter. Celebrating the best in online video and the creators behind it, the 8th Annual Streamy Awards will stream LIVE on YouTube (YouTube.com/Streamys) from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA on Monday, October 22, 2018.

Milk-Bone Dog of the Year Honor” Finalists and Voting Hashtags:

Louboutina (#LoubieForStreamys) – Human or pet, Louboutina offers friendship to all. The New York celebrity, better known to her fans as Loubie, is a golden retriever who has gained widespread recognition online for the warm and loving hugs she gives passersby on her native streets. Loubie’s hugs provide love and comfort for both strangers and her family. Her first rescue mission was being by her dad’s side through his darkest times at the end of a long-term relationship.

Pierre Don’t Care (#PierreForStreamys) – Pierre isn’t just a cute face. The Frenchie is a therapy dog who lets his owner dress him as characters to cheer up the people around him. Aside from dressing up as musicians and celebrities, he’s also part of LAX’s Pets Unstressing Passengers (PUP) program, assisting uneasy fliers and children while they wait at the airport.

Todd The Hero Dog (#ToddForStreamys) – Todd is the epitome of a good boy. His heroism made waves in June 2018 when he saved his owner from a rattlesnake bite during a hike by taking the bite himself, causing the internet to swoon with love for the golden. Though he recovered from the wound, that day will always be a reminder of the innate loyalty to his human. As a ripple effect, a fundraiser posted by “Friends of Todd” was started to help other dogs who need anti-venom.

Fans can vote once per day by tweeting the hashtag for their favorite finalist. Voting will close on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT.

These qualities will be exemplified in three selected finalists, which will be announced on October 1st.

Submissions and fan nominations for the 8th Annual Streamy Awards are now closed. Fans will be able to vote for their favorite “Milk-Bone Dog of the Year Honor” finalist on Twitter beginning October 1st. Nominees in all other Streamy Awards categories will be announced tomorrow, September 25th.

Celebrating the best in online video and the creators behind it, the 8th Annual Streamy Awards will take place Monday, October 22, 2018 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Streamy Awards to present the Dog of the Year Honor,” said Jonathan Rodgers, senior brand manager, Milk-Bone. “At Milk-Bone we believe that all dogs – from service animals to our everyday companions – bring so much joy and love to our lives every day that they deserve to be recognized for the first time among their human counterparts at the Streamy Awards. Dogs live with more enthusiasm, love with more heart, and see the world with more perspective. We are excited for the opportunity to celebrate them with the Milk Bone Dog of the Year Honor.”

“Dogs are the internet’s favorite animal, and YouTube has been their playground since that first dog stepped on a skateboard,” said Drew Baldwin, Creator of the Streamy Awards. The world wouldn’t be the same without dogs, lives are often transformed because of them, and it’s time that we honor all the joy that they give to us. I’m looking forward to recognize our furry friends who make our lives brighter every day!”

“I am always blown away by the sheer level of raw talent on this show,” said Rob Wade, President, Alternative Entertainment and Specials, Fox Broadcasting Company. “These are real people – unknown stars in their own right. And each week, they tell compelling, emotional stories through their craft. We can’t wait for Nigel, Mary, Vanessa and Cat to hit the road once again and uncover the phenomenal talent that’s out there.”

It’s incredible to make it to 15 seasons, which just speaks to the impact this program has had, not only on the world of dance, but also on our loyal fans and viewers, to whom we are most grateful,” added executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.

Auditions for the 15th season kick off next month. All potential contestants should register online at soyouthinkyoucandance2018.castingcrane.com/ and upload a video or provide a link to a video of their performance. Those who are selected to move on to the SYTYCD studio will work with world-renowned choreographers and compete LIVE each week for America’s votes in a variety of styles. Contestants will be eliminated weekly until a winner is named on the season finale.
