Downtown venue to host nightly watch parties with concerts, saloon-style entertainment, steak specials and more

 

Calling all cowboys and cowgirls – National Finals Rodeo (NFR) is almost here and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will once again host free watch parties during the annual event. From December 5-14, fans can gather around the watering hole to watch all the rodeo action from the comfort of the venue’s 20,000-square-foot, temperature-controlled tent. The nightly event is free, open to all ages and will run from 6 p.m. to midnight.

To keep the excitement going, fans can expect:

  • Nightly concerts from Pepie’s One Mand Band
  • Large viewing screens to catch every second of NFR fun
  • Delicious food and drink specials

In addition to the evening events, Andiamo Steakhouse at the D Las Vegas will be offering premier 36 oz. dry-aged Snake River Farms American Wagyu steaks in honor of NFR. The luxe Italian eatery will age the cuts in-house for 100 days using a process that amplifies the flavor concentration, palate and tenderness of the meat. Description: From what was once a dream inspired by close friends, to humble beginnings filled with living room jams, late nights writing songs in the garage, backyard house parties and countless complaints from neighbors, San Diego-based reggae/rock band Through the Roots was born. In early 2008, Evan Hawkins and Taylor Boatwright met at a local guitar center, it was there that Hawkins shared his vision with Boatwright, which eventually led to the beginning of the band. They believed that Through the Roots would provide them with the perfect vehicle to spread their message and adopted a Cali reggae/rock concept. In late 2008, Through the Roots added Brady O’Rear to round out the group’s core. O’Rear brought his own musical tastes, complete with Hawaiian island reggae, and mixed them with those of Hawkins’s and Boatwright’s to give the band a broader range of ideas and influences to draw from. Through the Roots quickly moved from the streets and backyard shows to touring in 210 and soon hooked up for West Coast and national tours with some of the reggae/rock genres’ top headliners. But all of that changed in the form of a lone man and his guitar. The year was 2007 when the  no. 1 Myspace artist took the leap from the early days of social networking to the world of big box retail, releasing his first album commercially through a brand new record label. The artist was Secondhand Serenade, the label was Glassnote Records and the album was titled Awake. Fast forward a full decade and the team is getting back together. Not only is Secondhand Serenade, real name John Vesely, back on the Glassnote roster, but the album that started their relationship many moons ago is being brought back to life in the form of Awake: Remixed & Remastered, 10 Years & 10,000 Tears Later. While it may have been the first album for both the artist and the newly birthed record label, the fruits of their efforts together would not take long to see the light of day.  Today, Insomniac announced the artist lineup for the world’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration across the West Coast – Countdown NYE 2019. Headliners will say goodbye to 2019 and hello to the new era of the roaring 20’s, for the sixth annual Countdown NYE party hosted at NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA. For one night only, (Tuesday, Dec. 31), Headliners will blast off into the New Year during the iconic alien themed galaxy party and delve into their inner galactic selves where “All Are Welcome.” The out-of-this-world festival will celebrate the end to 2019 with a bang, at the euphoric celebration that will bring Headliners to an all-new galaxy paired with an unforgettable soundtrack.

 

Earthlings will enjoy a night filled with over 30 world-renowned dance music artists, including Alesso, Borgore, Galantis, and the first performance by The Chainsmokers at an Insomniac event since 2017. Artist Info: MGMT was formed by Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden in 2001 while at Wesleyan University. Since their first release, the EP Time To Pretend in 2005, MGMT have released four critically acclaimed albums: Oracular Spectacular (2008), Congratulations (2010), MGMT (2013), and Little Dark Age (2018).

Magic shows, live performances and dazzling art installations are now part of The LINQ Promenade’s ongoing array of attractions.  Comedian Tracy Morgan has announced his new 2020 standup comedy tour, NO DISRESPECT, including a date at the intimate Pearl Theater inside Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 9 p.m.

Known for his comedic roles across seven seasons of the award-winning television shows 30 Rock, where he received a Supporting Actor Emmy Nomination, and Saturday Night Live, which earned him an Emmy nod for Outstanding Guest Actor, Morgan is one of the most well-respected comedians in his field; he has had successful standup specials for Netflix, HBO and Comedy Central, which brought the channel one of its largest viewership for a standup special that year.

TBS’s The Last O.G., which Morgan executive produces and stars in, was recently picked up for a third season. The show also stars Tiffany Haddish. On top of his seven nominations for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series on behalf of 30 Rock, Morgan was also nominated in the lead actor category for The Last O.G. at the NAACP Image Awards.

Morgan also recently appeared on the big screen in Paramount’s What Men Want, opposite Taraji P. Henson. In 2009, he released his first book, I Am The New Black, a compilation of anecdotes and some of the more serious moments that shaped him and his career. The 2019 production is directed by Matt August and choreographed by Bob Richard, based on the original choreography by John DeLuca and originally created by three-time Tony Award®-winning director, Jack O’Brien.

Between speaking to the dead and predicting people’s futures, and juggling math homework and gym class, life for a teenage medium in a small town became anything but easy. After a series of life-changing events -including a near-death experience -Tyler recognized that his passion, calling and life purpose was to bring clarity and closure to those he was privileged to read.
