Artist Info: Billy Idol was an early architect of the sound, style and fury of punk rock. His lip- curling sneer and fist-pumping persona vaulted him into the mainstream as one of MTV’s first megastars, making him one of the most recognizable faces in pop music, while selling out arenas everywhere he played. He has sold 40 million albums while scoring numerous platinum albums worldwide, nine top 40 singles in the U.S. and 10 in the U.K. including “Dancing With Myself,” “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Mony Mony,” “Eyes Without A Face,” “Flesh For Fantasy” and “Cradle Of Love.”

Idol was responsible for some of punk rock’s most memorable, literate and evocative moments, and created a pioneering new sound by bringing the spirit of ’77 to the dance floor, going on to fashion an immediately identifiable musical blueprint that integrates club-land throb, rockabilly desperation and rock ’n’ roll decadence.

More than 30 years after his groundbreaking Vital Idol compilation cemented the vibrancy of the dance-rock remix genre in the second half of the 1980s, Idol’s Revitalized collection, Vital Idol: Revitalized, features 11 brand-new remixes of Idol’s most classic and enduring hits. Lending their hands to the Revitalized proceedings are electronic dance luminaries Moby, The Crystal Method and Paul Oakenfold as well as current innovators including RAC, Tropkillaz, Shiba San, Juan Maclean and CRAY.

Idol also hosts an exclusive SiriusXM show, Billy Idol’s Live Transmission, that can be heard on SiriusXM’s 1st Wave, channel 33.For all Billy Idol information, visit BillyIdol.net.

He achieved his biggest international success in 1987 with “Lies,” a Grammy-nominated hit that landed at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Renowned guitarist Peter White to perform at Santa Fe Station

Renowned guitarist Peter White to perform at Santa Fe Station

Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 8 p.m.

Tickets on sale – Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Guitar virtuoso Peter White is returning to Las Vegas for a special performance at Chrome Showroom inside Santa Fe Station on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $27.50 and go on sale Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Over the years, Peter White has maintained a reputation as one of the most versatile and prolific acoustic guitarists on the contemporary jazz landscape. Armed with an unparalleled combination of lyricism and energy, he combines elements of jazz, pop and classical guitar to create a sound that is singular and at the same time accessible to a broad audience.

Influenced at first by folk music, he learned fingerstyle picking by listening to Simon and Garfunkel and Joni Mitchell recordings. He fell for the British blues of bands such as (early) Fleetwood Mac and was introduced to jazz by a friend. It was his ability to adapt his playing to multiple styles of music that got White noticed by British singer-songwriter Al Stewart – first as a pianist, then as a guitarist. White played on Stewart’s top 10 album Year of the Cat in 1976 and co-wrote the hit title track of the singer’s next album, “Time Passages.” White spent 20 years in all accompanying Stewart, and performed sideman duties for many other artists, but by 1990 he was ready to go out on his own.

After nearly four decades of writing, recording and touring – either as a sideman or a solo artist – Peter White still seeks out the road not yet traveled. Whether it’s new songs, new ideas, new styles or new collaborators, this virtuoso of contemporary jazz, classical, pop and Spanish guitar is at his best when standing on the edge of creative territory waiting to be explored. For White, it’s always about the journey and where it will take him, and he’s always ready to go.

Tickets for Peter White are $27.50, $37.50 and $47.50 applicable fees for reserved seating. Doors open at 7 p.m. and guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at any Station Casinos Reward Center and The Fiestas, by logging onto www.stationcasinoslive.com or through Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com.

RED ROCK RESORT

Chase Rice
Venue: Sandbar Poolside Stage
Genre: Country
Date: Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at 7 p.m.
Ticket Prices: $20 plus tax and applicable fees for standing room only and $50 plus tax and applicable fees for VIP standing near the stage

With a new label and a renewed sense of creative purpose, he is making music that draws from multiple sources and influences, but is unified by his vision, integrity, and honesty.

The 10 songs on Lambs & Lions derive from Rice’s life and experience, triumphs and disappointments, and ultimately his determination to stand up for his convictions. Produced by Chris DeStefano, Mac MacAnally and, most surprisingly, Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Cold War Kids), Lambs & Lions offers up sounds from the unsettling strings and horns on the title track to the spare piano and swelling choir of “Amen.” And if it took him walking out on his record company and finding a new home to get there, it also reflects the unconventional path that led him to make music in the first place.

Norman Brown to bring Norman Brown’s Joyous Christmas with special guests Bobby Caldwell and Marion Meadows to Santa Fe Station

Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 8 p.m.

Tickets on sale Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10 a.m.

Grammy Award-winning Contemporary Jazz and R&B superstar Norman Brown is returning to Las Vegas for a special performance of his annual holiday show Norman Brown’s Joyous Christmas featuring special guests Bobby Caldwell and Marion Meadows at Chrome Showroom inside Santa Fe Station on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $27.50 plus tax and applicable fees and go on sale Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10 a.m.

Grammy Award-winning Contemporary Jazz/R&B superstar Norman Brown has sold close to two million albums in his extraordinary career and virtually lives at the top of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz sales and radio charts. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Norman Brown first picked up a guitar at the age of eight. First inspired by Jimi Hendrix, it was his father’s preference for the sound of Wes Montgomery that set Brown on his stylistic journey. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his musical career and soon delivered his debut album, Just Between Us, and later followed with the gold-certified After The Storm and Better Days Ahead. His 2002 release Just Chillin´ earned Brown much-deserved Grammy recognition in the best pop instrumental category. His latest album, Let It Go, was released in 2017.

A New York native, Bobby Caldwell formed his first band at 17 years old. After signing his first major-label recording contract, Caldwell released his debut album What You Won’t Do for Love. Featuring the singles “My Flame,” “Can’t Say Goodbye” and “Down for the Third Time,” the multi-platinum album peaked at number 21 on the Billboard charts. The album’s title track has been recorded and sampled by more than 100 artists, including Boyz II Men. Caldwell followed with the albums Cat in the Hat and Carry On, both of which were highly successful internationally. Following a string of successful albums in the 1990s, Caldwell returned in 2005 with Perfect Island Nights and again in 2012 with House of Cards. Caldwell’s songs and samples have contributed to more than $40 million sales with artists as diverse as Tupac Shakur, Michael Bolton, Roberta Flack, Go West, Vanessa Williams and Notorious B.I.G., among others. In addition, Caldwell also starred in the theatrical production “The Rat Pack is Back” in Las Vegas.

Marion Meadows was born in West Virginia and grew up in Stamford, Connecticut. He began playing the clarinet and studying classical music at the age of nine. His passion for various types of music led him down an eclectic musical path. He was intrigued by the styles of jazz musicians, like Stanley Turrentine, Sidney Bichet, Johnny Hodges, John Coltrane, Sonny Stitt, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Dexter Gordon, Cannonball Adderley, Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Fortune, Joe Henderson, Grover Washington and many others. Meadows’ first RCA release For Lover’s Only was a huge success and was followed by his ground breaking Keep it Right There album. He became a staple of the contemporary jazz format with his subsequent recordings, which include Body Rhythm, Forbidden Fruit (1996), Passion (1997), Another Side Of Midnight (1999), Next To You (2000), In Deep (2002), Players Club (2004), Dressed To Chill (2006), Secrets (2009) Whisper (2013) and his current album Soul City.

Tickets for Norman Brown’s Joyous Christmas are $27.50, $37.50 and $47.50 plus tax and applicable fees for reserved seating. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at any Station Casinos Reward Center and The Fiestas, by logging onto www.stationcasinoslive.com or through Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com.

ICONIC CHICAGO EATERY THE WIENER’S CIRCLE TO OPEN IN LAS VEGAS
Three Locations to Debut Summer 2014 inside Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station

The Wiener’s Circle, Chicago’s famed hot dog stand, will open in Las Vegas this summer with locations at Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino. Offering authentic Chicago-style char-grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, fresh-cut fries and milkshakes, the 31 year-old landmark boasts famous fans including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and Rachael Ray and has been featured on the Travel Channel and Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”The Wiener’s Circle moniker was selected by founders and horse racing fanatics Larry Gold and Barry Nemerow as a play on that sport’s designation for each race’s top thoroughbreds, and they have spent the last three decades delivering quality fare at reasonable prices. Over the years, many have tried to coax them to expand to other markets, however Las Vegas was the sweet spot for the pair.

While the Chicago location has gained some notoriety in recent years for late night antics between customers and staff, the Las Vegas outposts will focus on the legendary food in a family-friendly environment.

In addition to the classic menu offerings, the new locations will debut exclusive only-in-Vegas items, including all day breakfast nosh such as bacon, two eggs over easy and American cheese sandwiched in a fried donut, wieners in the blanket – ten or twenty piggies with a selection of sauces, a veggie burger and the Adult Happy Meal with a signature Chicago Char Cheddar dog, fries and a Pabst Blue Ribbon. The Wiener’s Circle will also serve the ever popular Krispy Kreme donuts.

Station Casinos’ popular entertainment destinations Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station provide a variety of amenities, including hotels, a full array of gaming, live entertainment, bowling, movies and an assortment of restaurants and bars. Both of The Weiner’s Circle outposts will be nestled between the sports book and poker room; the Red Rock Resort location is slated to open in early June, while the Santa Fe Station locations, including a satellite stand at the bowling center, are expected to debut this summer.

Green Valley Ranch Resort opens live Keno Lounge

Green Valley Ranch Resort now features live keno with the recent opening of its new Keno Lounge.

Located between the Grand Café and the Poker Room, the new Keno Lounge has 16 seats for those looking to sit in on the live action. Keno boards are also conveniently placed throughout the casino for those interested in placing their bets and enjoying the action from elsewhere. Additionally, a second keno game is available from the Grand Café, which also has its own keno runner to take diners’ bets. The Keno Lounge is open from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily; while the café games run until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Green Valley Ranch Resort offers the same generous keno promotions and events as its sister Station Casinos’ keno lounges, including the 6- to 9-spot Jumbo Keno Progressive, which pays players jackpots ranging from $2,500 to $60,000 minimum. In many cases, the amounts will grow from the starting win as Station Casinos links the progressive among its properties. The new Keno Lounge also is a part of the Mega 10 Statewide Progressive with a jackpot at more than $1 million, and the cost to play is only $1.50.

Most games at Green Valley Ranch Resort begin at $1 on up per game. Games are offered as straight tickets, way tickets and multi-race tickets. Additionally, the new keno lounge offers a “Five and Dime Special,” which allows players to play more ways at a dime or nickel per way. If a player plays 1-9 games on a ticket, they have up to 48 hours to collect any winning. Players that play more than 10 games on a ticket have up to a year to collect any winnings.

Guests are encouraged to use their Boarding Pass card to earn free dining at Green Valley Ranch Resort, but they must first register their Boarding Pass with the Keno Lounge.

Guests that purchase multiple cards for games later in the day are also able to watch the game from their computer with “Keno on the Go” by clicking on the Green Valley Ranch Resort live game at www.sclv.com/gaming/keno, and eventually will also be able to do so from their hotel room at the resort.

The opening of the Green Valley Ranch Resort Keno Lounge makes it so that all Station Casinos and Fiesta properties offer live keno, with the other locations being Boulder Station, Palace Station, Red Rock Resort, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station, Texas Station, Fiesta Henderson and Fiesta Rancho.
