 Bruce and Eric Bromberg, brothers, chefs and co-founders of Blue Ribbon Restaurants, the New York-based restaurant group that famously began in 1992 with its famous SoHo brasserie, are pleased to announce the return of Blue Ribbon Sushi to Las Vegas, Nevada. Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya will open in late 2018 at Red Rock Resort located in the center of the upscale Summerlin community, with an all-new Japanese-style tavern, including a traditional sushi bar with indoor and outdoor seating.

Summerlin restaurant offers fresh gluten-free, vegetarian items

 

As the seasons change, so too do the menu items at Summerlin’s most in-ventive eatery, Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar at Red Rock Resort.

 

While holding tight to the backbone that made it a Las Vegas favorite, Hearthstone, will expand its rustic-refined approach to food while offering an array of new gluten-free and vegetarian items, with an emphasis on seasonality and freshness.

 

After opening Hearthstone in October 2014, Executive Chef Brian Massie promised to keep his menu evolving with the boldest and brightest of ingredients while still keeping the crowd favorites available to guests. With the unveiling of his newest menu, he has done just that.

 

Authentic handmade pizzas and signature dishes such as the spicy Calabrian Shrimp Pasta re-main as offerings, but Chef Massie has added soon-to-be favorites to the menu, all of which combine creativity with the comforting feel of Hearthstone. Included in the new slate of items is a succulent pork chop made with apple mustard butter and pork jus, a triumphant wood-roasted octopus dish prepared with saba glaze, smoked potatoes and capers and a diverse assortment of new freshly prepared sandwiches, such as the New England Lobster Roll — made with fresh, imported lobster — and a gooey Adult Grilled Cheese prepared with truffle gouda. Those looking for lighter fare can satisfy their craving with the Vegetable Salad, a marriage of organically-sourced green beans, corn, asparagus and tomatoes, or the Roasted Jalapeño Hummus.

 

The preparation of the new menu items fully highlights the humbleness of fresh ingredients in their truest form.

 

“We will only create dishes we’re proud of and would eat ourselves,” Massie said. “The things we’ve added to the menu really expand our offerings and showcase what we’re all about, and that’s having a great meal in a comfortable neighborhood environment.”

 

Along with the food, Hearthstone possesses a wine list to be desired, as it can transport guests to from Italy to France and to Northern California all with just the cork of the bottle.

 

Aside from the warm, welcoming environment and succulent food, Hearthstone continues to be a wine lovers dream and a culinary masterpiece.

As the season changes, so too do the menu items at Summerlin’s most inventive Italian eatery, Salute, located inside Red Rock Resort.

 

House favorites like the Signature Pasta and Veal Marsala “Saltinbocca” are going nowhere, as they have cemented themselves in Las Vegas cuisine lore, but Chef Luciano Sauto has refreshed the menu with innovative twists and even more classic Italian flavor profiles.

 

Chef Sautto, who returns to Salute after a brief stop in Italy to further hone his skills, has reinvigorated the already delectable menu with additions such as fresh Sole Francese, served with wild arugula and lemon, the Risotto Verde, a stomach-pleasing union of perfectly-cooked risotto, wild shrimp, peas and asparagus, and Cioppino, a generations-old recipe that includes a variety of fresh shell fish and sea bass marrying in broth made from vine-ripened san marzano tomatoes.

 

The summer menu is one that will have guests saying grazie!

 

In addition to the new menu comes a brand new dessert menu, as well, highlighted by the Tiramisu, a traditional indulgence of marscapone, lady fingers and espresso. The new dessert menu also features modern Italian classics such as Warm Nutella Cake, Semolina Cake and a creamy New York Style Cheesecake made with cherry compote.

 

“We’re always wanting to change up our menu and freshen it up based on the seasons and quality of ingredients,” Sautto said. “We managed to do that, while still keeping our guest’s favorites still on the menu.”

Three Locations to Debut Summer 2014 inside Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station

 

The Wiener’s Circle, Chicago’s famed hot dog stand, will open in Las Vegas this summer with locations at Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino. Offering authentic Chicago-style char-grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, fresh-cut fries and milkshakes, the 31 year-old landmark boasts famous fans including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and Rachael Ray and has been featured on the Travel Channel and Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”The Wiener’s Circle moniker was selected by founders and horse racing fanatics Larry Gold and Barry Nemerow as a play on that sport’s designation for each race’s top thoroughbreds, and they have spent the last three decades delivering quality fare at reasonable prices. Over the years, many have tried to coax them to expand to other markets, however Las Vegas was the sweet spot for the pair.

While the Chicago location has gained some notoriety in recent years for late night antics between customers and staff, the Las Vegas outposts will focus on the legendary food in a family-friendly environment.

In addition to the classic menu offerings, the new locations will debut exclusive only-in-Vegas items, including all day breakfast nosh such as bacon, two eggs over easy and American cheese sandwiched in a fried donut, wieners in the blanket – ten or twenty piggies with a selection of sauces, a veggie burger and the Adult Happy Meal with a signature Chicago Char Cheddar dog, fries and a Pabst Blue Ribbon. The Wiener’s Circle will also serve the ever popular Krispy Kreme donuts.

Green Valley Ranch Resort now features live keno with the recent opening of its new Keno Lounge.

 

Located between the Grand Café and the Poker Room, the new Keno Lounge has 16 seats for those looking to sit in on the live action. Keno boards are also conveniently placed throughout the casino for those interested in placing their bets and enjoying the action from elsewhere. Additionally, a second keno game is available from the Grand Café, which also has its own keno runner to take diners’ bets. The Keno Lounge is open from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily; while the café games run until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

 

Green Valley Ranch Resort offers the same generous keno promotions and events as its sister Station Casinos’ keno lounges, including the 6- to 9-spot Jumbo Keno Progressive, which pays players jackpots ranging from $2,500 to $60,000 minimum. In many cases, the amounts will grow from the starting win as Station Casinos links the progressive among its properties. The new Keno Lounge also is a part of the Mega 10 Statewide Progressive with a jackpot at more than $1 million, and the cost to play is only $1.50.

Pro Football Legend Gale Sayers Meet and Greet at Red Rock Sports Book a Huge Success


The sports book at Red Rock Resort was proud to host football legend Gale Sayers, who signed autographs and took photos with fans. He answered media’s questions about his history in addition to the NFL season.

Sayers burst upon the pro football scene in 1965 with the Chicago Bears. In his relatively short career, Sayers won “All NFL” honors for five straight years and was named “Offensive Player of the Game” in three of the four Pro Bowls. In 1977, Sayers was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and is still the youngest inductee in the Hall’s history. In 1994, the Bears retired his number, 40, at Soldier Field. Despite the brevity of his career, he was ranked #22 on The Sporting News’s list of the 100 Greatest Football Players. Sayers’ records include most touchdowns in a rookie season (22 in 1965), most touchdowns in a game (6, tied with Nevers and Jones), highest career kickoff return average (30.56), and most return touchdowns in a game (2, tied with many players).

Vegas24Seven interviewed Gale Sayers at this event and found him very friendly and easy to talk to. Gale likes Las Vegas and is looking on purchasing a home here soon. His primary residence is in downtown Chicago and he also has homes in Kansas City and California. We always ask about Chicago food and while he said he likes the food in Chicago none can compare to the cooking of his wife Ardie. We asked Gale what NFL running back he admired when he was younger and the answer was Cleveland Browns Hall of Famer Jim Brown. Although they had different running styles Gale was very impressed with Browns accomplishments on the field. They similarly both had shortened careers, Browns by choice and Sayers due to injuries. When asked about the current state if thr NFL he seemed disillusioned regarding players and the league in general. We could have talked to to him all afternoon but there were still quite a few fans waiting to meet and greet him. We were glad to have met Gale and hope he finds a home here in Vegas and enjoys it as much as we all do.

  • Cranberry Orange Spice Ritual: The experience begins with a 25-minute soothing cranberry body buff and polish to leave the skin soft and subtle, followed by an inviting orange spice hot stone massage. The treatment will leave guests feeling soothed, rejuvenated and nourished. 80 minutes: $195, 110 minutes: $285
  • Pumpkin Spice Body Wrap: A dry brush exfoliation is performed to prepare the skin for a warm pumpkin spice wrap, with the pumpkin enzymes breaking down dead skin cells. Then, the guest is wrapped in a Mylar cocoon and given a soothing scalp massage.  After showering off the pumpkin spice, the guest then receives an orange spice butter and massage oil application leaving the skin soft and subtle. 50 minutes: $165
The Spa at Green Valley Ranch
  • Pumpkin Pedicure: A detailed pedicure that includes cleansing, exfoliation, shaping, grooming and a hydrating mask with a signature pumpkin peel, finished with a relaxing foot massage using warm vanilla spice body butter. 50 minutes: $95
  • Cranberry Scrub: The treatment begins with a 25-minute body scrub with a cranberry scrub that deeply exfoliates the skin, followed by a relaxing body massage and lotion application. The final sweet treat is a pumpkin mask on the feet that will leave guests feeling hydrated and refreshed with skin ready to start off the season. 80 minutes: $195
