JUST ANNOUNCED: Jamey Johnson at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas

STAGECOACH SPOTLIGHT TOUR:
JAMEY JOHNSON
With MARGO PRICE and BRENT COBB

 Friday, April 28

Tickets on sale Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. PST

Alabama native and acclaimed singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas in The Linq Promenade on Friday, April 28 at 8:30 p.m. The Nashville-based country superstar makes a Stagecoach Spotlight stop before heading to California to play night two of Stagecoach, California’s Country Music Festival.

Johnson funded his early music career by running his own construction company and performing in Nashville nightspots, landing his first recording contract in 2005. Following a well documented period of darkness after losing his record deal and going through a difficult divorce, Johnson found solace in the creative process and, particularly, life on the road.

“The road is where it’s at. I love it,” notes Johnson on his website. “That’s where you take country music. You don’t get the message out there by sitting at the house. I go out there and meet the people. When I come back home to make an album, I don’t want you to second-guess me. I’m telling you what is the right thing, because I’m the guy out there shaking their hands every night.”

Johnson’s emotions and understanding of the struggles faced by all drive his music to both ends of the spectrum. From “By the Seat of Your Pants” to “That’s How I Don’t Love You,” Johnson’s lyrics take listeners on a familiar journey sure to resonate with everyone in his audience.

Johnson has shared the stage with country legends like Hank Williams Jr. and Willie Nelson and has been one of the few country acts invited to play some of the largest pop music festivals in America. He recently performed along with Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Rodney Atkins, Montgomery Gentry, Ricky Skaggs and others at the tribute to the life and career of Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis.

Supporting act Margo Price grew up in Aledo, IL. Through a voice reminiscent of Loretta Lynn mixed with the soul of Janis Joplin, Price uses her album “Midwest Farmer’s Daughter” to recant stories of hardship and loss with a tone of elegance and a new understanding. Fans can expect high-energy honesty in the intimate Brooklyn Bowl setting.

Opener Brent Cobb’s album “Shine on Rainy Day” was produced by cousin David Cobb and, similar to Price, is reminiscent of his upbringing in Ellaville, GA. “It just is Georgia,” notes Cobb. “It’s just that rural, easy-going way it feels down there on a nice spring evening when the wind’s blowing warm and you smell wisteria, you know?”

Doors for Jamey Johnson with Margo Price and Brent Cobb at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas open at 7:30 p.m. This show is for ages 18+. Venue presale tickets are available starting at $35 on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. PT using password “ALABAMA.” General admission tickets start at $45 (plus applicable service fees) and are on sale to the public on Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. PST at the Brooklyn Bowl box office, by calling 877.987.6487 or online at http://ticketf.ly/2lczVQy.
