Country music and rodeo fans alike should get to put on their best western attire and two-step down to The Mirage Hotel & Casino Thursday, Dec. 6 – Saturday, Dec. 15 to experience the 2018 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo activities scheduled at the resort. The Academy of Country Music announced today a return to the organization’s origins in developing The Week Vegas Goes Country® years ago, with an onslaught of events taking over Las Vegas – including a return and expansion of the 5^th Annual ACM Party for a Cause® — in conjunction with the 52^nd Academy of Country Music Awards™, Country Music’s Party of the Year®, which will broadcast LIVE for the first time ever from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 8:00 PM ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.

This year, ACM Party for a Cause will consist of industry and fan events located at different venues across Las Vegas including a new host hotel, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and several others from Thursday, March 30 – Sunday, April 2, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. Each of the festivities will feature performances by some of the biggest names and hottest new talent in country music including Kelsea Ballerini, Billy Currington, Ryan Follese, Lady Antebellum, LOCASH, Kip Moore, Jake Owen, Chris Stapleton, Michael Tyler, Clay Walker, Brett Young and many others. Festivities will also include interactive ACM fan experiences, which will be announced in the coming weeks. All events will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy, which works to lift lives through the power of music.

Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to win giveaways from MGM Grand and Wrangler.

One ticket will provide access to both the Wrangler NFR Countdown show and the Live Viewing Party. LOSERS BAR
After a successful run as a “pop-up” venue, Losers Bar will officially open at MGM Grand during this year’s National Finals Rodeo. The flagship venue, located in Nashville, opened 11 years ago and was founded by Erv Woolsey and Steve Ford.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Las Vegas location will celebrate its Grand Opening with platinum-selling country artist Mark Chesnutt who will perform beginning at 9:30 p.m. Chesnutt’s performance will launch a week of special shows by country artists, including one night with Nashville’s crowd-pleasing Losers house band.

In the space formerly occupied by Rouge Lounge, Losers will feature live music nightly in a casual, rustic setting. The new venue also will have one of the largest TV screens in MGM Grand and serve tap beers and its signature Bootwacker frozen drink, “Capri Suns.”

The first-annual Oktoberfest at The Park opened with a lively party at Beerhaus, highlighted by American Country music duo LOCASH tapping the keg and jumpstarting the festivities. The pair tapped a commemorative firkin, then danced and cheered with the crowd with a series of boisterous drinking chants.

Prior to the keg tapping, The Dummkopfs – a Las Vegas-local ensemble – built up the excitement with toe-tapping polkas and punny jokes, only pausing to lead the crowd in traditional German toasts. LOCASH and Tara Thompson headline the annual Country In The Cove beach party on Sunday, Aug. 28. Presented by 95.5 The Bull and Corona, it moves to the beach at the Reflection Bay Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas this year. Proceeds will benefit the Lake Mead Yacht Club, which founded the country music-themed event and opened in 1955.

The Bull’s Lois Lewis and JoJo Turnbeaugh will host the party from noon to 6 p.m. which will kick off with a DJ playing country music favorites before the concert on the floating stage beginning at 4 p.m. Festivities also will include give-a-ways and a variety of Lake Las Vegas’ fee-based water sports and watercraft rentals, including kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, flyboard and pedal boats.

LOCASH, comprised of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, topped the Country Billboard Chart at No. 2 with their hit single “I Love This Life.” Their 10-year partnership has yielded hit singles and sold-out concert appearances in the United States and abroad. They recently signed with Reviver Records and released their current single “I Know Somebody.”

Tara Thompson, the young cousin of Loretta Lynn, performs her own music, including her debut single titled “Someone to Take Your Place.” She is expected to release a full-length album later this year.
