About Charles Kelley

Charles Kelley is one-third of multi-Platinum trio Lady Antebellum, whose empowering call of independence can be found in their latest single “Heart Break,” the title track from their No. one selling sixth studio album. “Heart Break” provides “a bedrock for the entire record” (Paste) as “Scott takes satisfaction in feminine independence” (NPR) with “a touch of darkness and a clever play on words” (Rolling Stone). Before natural disasters struck the Caribbean, the seven-time GRAMMY winners traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico for its colorful Spanish colonial buildings and vibrant culture to provide the backdrop of the track’s music video. Feeling the urgency to continue raising awareness and support for those affected after Hurricane Maria stuck the area, Lady A made a significant donation from LadyAID® to hurricane relief efforts and fans can continue to help by contributing at LadyAID.org. HEART BREAK follows more than 18 million units, nine No. One hits, ACM and “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row and countless other honors including seven GRAMMYs, Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards.  Along with his success as part of Lady Antebellum, Kelley also earned a GRAMMY nomination for “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” for the title track of his solo record THE DRIVER, and has also penned No. one hits recorded by artists including Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker. For more information visit www.ladyantebellum.com.

About Darius Rucker
Rucker first attained multi-Platinum status in the music industry as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of GRAMMY award-winning Hootie & the Blowfish. Since re-introducing himself to the world as a country artist, he has released five consecutive chart-topping albums and earned a whole new legion of fans. Rucker’s Platinum-certified debut country album Learn To Live and follow-up album Charleston, SC 1966 produced five No. 1 singles, “Come Back Song,” “This,” “Alright,” “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” and “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.” In 2012, he achieved a lifelong dream when he became a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and won his third career GRAMMY award in 2014 for his 4x Platinum-selling cover of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel,” off his True Believers album. Southern Style, his fourth studio country album, includes No. 1 single “Homegrown Honey,” co-written by Rucker, label mate Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum and Nathan Chapman. His latest album on Capitol Nashville, When Was The Last Time features Rucker’s eighth No. 1 on country radio, “If I Told You.” The album’s second single, “For The First Time,” is currently Top 25 and climbing the country charts.

KEEP MEMORY ALIVE’S 20TH ANNUAL POWER OF LOVE® GALA
HONOREE, TONY BENNETT, RECOGNIZED WITH LAS VEGAS MARQUEE DISPLAY AND STREET RENAMING

On Thursday, May 19, Keep Memory Alive’s 20th annual Power of Love® gala honoree, Tony Bennett, was recognized as 20 Las Vegas marquees around the city lit up with an image of the world-renowned artist in celebration of his 90th birthday and participation in the Gala. More than 50 people attended the invite-only fête, including Bennett’s wife Susan Benedetto, while dozens of onlookers gathered around to watch the ceremony, which took place on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York Hotel & Casino.

Local Las Vegas entertainer Mark Shunock served as the emcee of the soiree and kicked-off the event by introducing the man of the hour, Bennett, and Keep Memory Alive Co-Founder and Chairman Larry Ruvo. Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak then gave remarks recognizing Bennett’s outstanding career by proclaiming Las Vegas Boulevard to be renamed “Tony Bennett Boulevard” for the full day of the Gala on Saturday, May 21. Following Sisolak’s presentation, Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority, acknowledged Bennett’s impact on Las Vegas.

Next, Bennett and Ruvo took to the stage to discuss Bennett’s career, milestone birthday and what Keep Memory Alive and brain health means to him. Ruvo then lead the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday,” which concluded with a Dom Pérignon champagne toast by Shunock as the marquees illuminated with Bennett’s picture. Las Vegas marquees that helped mark the occasion included Bally’s Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, Excalibur Hotel & Casino, Fashion Show Mall, Fremont Street Experience, Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Harrah’s Las Vegas, M Resort, Maverick Helicopters, Miracle Mile Shops, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, New York-New York Hotel & Casino, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, Rio All-Suite hotel & Casino, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, The Cromwell, The Linq Hotel & Casino, Tropicana Casino Hotel Resort, Wynn | Encore.

Bennett will be honored Saturday, May 21 during the 20th annual Power of Love gala at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, where some of the biggest entertainers in the industry will join together to celebrate Bennett and his career. James Corden, Andra Day, Darius Rucker, Jordin Sparks, Steven Tyler and more will perform heart-felt tributes of some of Bennett’s infamous hits. Continuing its 20-year history, the star-studded event raises funds and awareness for Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and its fight against brain disease including Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s diseases, multiple sclerosis and multiple system atrophy.

The Academy of Country Music® announced today that platinum-selling singer-songwriter Darius Rucker will return to host the ACM Lifting Lives® Golf Classic for the fifth consecutive year at TPC Las Vegas on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Presented by G. Debbas Chocolatier and Cocoa Crate, the “scramble” style golf tournament was created out of the need for a charitable event to connect fans, sponsors and donors with industry insiders and artists. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the ACM Lifting Lives’ Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund, which provides immediate relief to those in need within the music industry.

Established by former Academy of Country Music and ACM Lifting Lives Board Chair Gayle Holcomb, in honor of her mother, the Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund responds quickly to unforeseen, immediate financial needs of music related organizations and individuals. Since its inception in 2007, the Fund has distributed more than $400,000 and supported 60+ cases covering a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality.

“The tournament brings awareness to the extraordinary work being done through the Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund, and ensures its ability to continue the generosity of ACM Lifting Lives to financially support our music community family and friends when in dire straits,” said Holcomb.

The ACM Lifting Lives Golf Classic and the 4th Annual ACM Party for a Cause® Festival are just two events benefitting the charities during the highly-anticipated “The Week Vegas Goes Country®,” leading up to “Country Music’s Party of the Year®.” The 51st ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.

The trendsetting Paradise Tower combines celebrity decadence with style and sophistication to create an energetic vibe that can only be found at the Hard Rock Hotel. Rooms evoke visions of a rock ‘n’ roll manor house, using iconic materials like leather, wood and silver studded velvet to enhance the sensory experience and emphasize that this is no standard hotel room. This tower is set back from the casino floor and is the perfect place for guests to prepare for and recover from their time in Sin City.
