REGGAE RISE UP ANNOUNCES NEW DATES FOR 2020 FESTIVAL AT DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS EVENTS CENTER, OCTOBER 24-25

Adjustments made to performance times as tickets go back on sale; livestream concert announced for this weekend

Today, Reggae Rise Up announced new dates for the inaugural music festival, now scheduled to take place October 24-25, 2020 at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

Live Nite Events made the decision to postpone the live music event due to the growing health concerns surrounding COVID-19. While the circumstances of the rescheduling were unfortunate, event producers have been able to keep the original lineup completely intact. Festival fans can still catch their favorite bands including Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, SOJA, J. Boog, Matisyahu, Common Kings and many more.

In a change of original plans, all artists who were originally scheduled for Saturday will now perform on Sunday and all artists originally scheduled for Sunday will now perform on Saturday (see event lineup poster below).

Any single-day ticket holders who wish to exchange their tickets for the alternating day can visit www.reggaeriseupvegas.com and fill out a form to request the change. Additionally, an email will be sent to all ticket holders with a direct link to the ticket exchange form. Ticket holders have until July 31 to complete the change request.

All ticket types are now back on-sale with Tier 2 GA Weekend currently start at $100 and VIP Weekend start at $170. Tier 2 Single-Day GA and VIP tickets go on-sale starting at $55 and $90, respectively (Ticketing Fees, Tax and Shipping not included)

As the event was originally scheduled for this weekend, festival coordinators will bring the reggae fun to viewers at home with an all-day livestream event scheduled for Monday, April 20. The online event will feature live performances and programming from many of the artists that the festival features regularly on its lineups. More information on the Reggae Rise Up 420 Live Stream Cypher will be made available later today on all of Reggae Rise Up’s social media platforms.

DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS EVENTS CENTER TO HOST
REGGAE RISE UP VEGAS, APRIL 18-19
Slightly Stoopid and Dirty Heads to headline all-new reggae music festival at Downtown Las Vegas venue

Reggae fans, it’s time to kick back and jam out! Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will host the all-new Reggae Rise Up Vegas (RRU VEGAS) festival, taking place April 18-19. The two-day music extravaganza includes headlining performances from SoCal reggae-rock stars Slightly Stoopid and Dirty Heads.

Tickets go on-sale Monday, December 9th, with Tier 1 GA Weekend starting at $90 and VIP Weekend starting at $160. Tier 1 Single-Day GA and VIP tickets go on-sale for $50 and $85, respectively.

Promising a weekend of positive vibes and unforgettable performances, RRU Vegas will feature an impressive list of reggae all-stars including SOJA, J. Boog, Matisyahu, Common Kings, Hirie, Collie Buddz, Fortunate Youth, The Movement, Iya Terra, Mike Love, Jessie Royal, Nattali Rize and more.

Festival attendees also can expect a variety of art installations, bar options, food trucks, a vendor village and additional interactive fan experiences suitable for all ages.

Based out of the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego, Slightly Stoopid describes their music as “a fusion of folk, rock, reggae and blues with hip-hop, funk, metal and punk.” Since forming more than 15 years ago, they have released thirteen albums with hits including “Top of the World” and “2 A.M.”, all while touring the globe and making lifelong fans along the way.

Exploding onto the Huntington Beach music scene in 2006, Dirty Heads has made a habit out of delivering unique beats and distinct sounds by way of truly creative reggae-rock. Over the years, the five-piece group has shared the stage – and recording booth – with some of the genre’s most influential artists. After releasing the mega-hit “Lay Me Down” with vocalist/guitarist Rome Ramirez of Sublime With Rome in 2010, the group continues to develop their sound while delivering high-energy sets for fans of all kinds.

THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS WELCOMES REBELUTION AND MATISYAHU, BLINK-182 WITH SPECIAL GUEST NEW BEAT FUND, TO SET YOUR LIFE TO MUSIC SERIES AT BOULEVARD POOL

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas welcomes the additions of Rebelution and Matisyahu (Aug. 22) and blink-182 with New Beat Fund (Sept. 19) to the Set Your Life to Music series at the Boulevard Pool.

Joining The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ Set Your Life to Music series, Rebelution has developed into a front-runner for grassroots, independent and tour driven music groups. Originally formed in 2004, Rebelution’s most recent release, Peace of Mind, finds itself at a crossroad, debuting at #13 on the Billboard Top 200, #1 in Reggae, #1 in the Independent albums chart and recently named iTunes “Best Crossover Album.” Since first emerging on the international stage in 2005, Matisyahu has established a reputation for following his muse—from the stripped-down roots reggae of the gold-certified Live at Stubb’s and the trippy ministrations of Youth, to the polished pop eclecticism of Light. Now, Matisyahu blasts off yet again with Spark Seeker, which finds the one-of-a-kind vocalist exploring uncharted territory. Tickets to co-headliners Rebelution and Matisyahu are $30 (plus applicable taxes and service charges) and will go on sale Monday, May 13 at 10 a.m. PDT.

This summer, legendary punk trio blink-182, with special guest New Beat Fund, will join the Set Your Life to Music series at the Boulevard Pool. blink-182 first became a punk rock mainstay back in 1994 with its debut album, Cheshire Cat. The group’s second album, Dude Ranch, sold more than 1 million copies, only to achieve even greater success in 1999 with the multi-platinum selling Enema of the State. With crossover hits, such as “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things,” blink-182 continued climbing the charts until a temporary hiatus in 2005. Now, one year since the group’s last Boulevard Pool show, Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker return to rile the crowd again. Tickets to blink-182 are $60 (plus applicable taxes and service charges) and will go on sale Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. PDT.

Tickets are available online at www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com or through Ticketmaster at 800.745.3000. Each show is all ages. Cabanas and daybeds start at $500 and can be reserved by emailing NightlifeMarketing@cosmopolitanlasvegas.com or by calling 702.698.7778. Guests must be 21+ to reserve a cabana which includes express entry and dedicated cocktail service.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas features artists at the forefront of the touring world and emerging artists that will inspire the next musical movements coupled with spectacularly-designed, technology-driven venues. The excitement of live-music and sports action spills onto the casino floor from Book & Stage, an upscale sports and entertainment lounge, while live DJs fill the rhythmic and vibrant hot-spot BOND with the best in house-music. Finally, The Chandelier, a dramatic inhabitable three-story architectural wonder, created by 2 million luminous crystals, houses three unique bar experiences: high-energy hot spot, sophisticated cocktail retreat and inviting lounge. Perched high above the Las Vegas Strip, the Boulevard Pool is a multilevel pool experience by day and an intimate outdoor concert venue with unobstructed sightlines of both the stage and The Strip by night.

Highlighted by the success of gold-selling single “Country Boy” featuring the legendary George Jones and Charlie Daniels, the seven-song EP reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200 upon release.

Lewis also received two ACM nominations for “Vocal Event of the Year” for “Country Boy” (for his work as artist and as co-producer) as well as two CMT nominations, one for “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year” and another for “Collaborative Video of the Year.”  Simultaneously, the music video for the single stirred similar fan fervor, surpassing 12 million views on YouTube and 3 million on CMT.com.

After a whirlwind year, Lewis began working on what would become his first full-length album, The Road, in the fall of 2011. On The Road, the Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and guitarist tells one story after another.
