Touring comedian Dat Phan returns to South Point Showroom to entertain audiences with a night of raucous jokes that will leave guests crying from laughter. Phan’s career exploded after he won the first season of NBC‘s “Last Comic Standing” and now performs standup routines on stages across the country while breaking into the acting world.

 

Mrs. Vietnam World Pageant

The Mrs. Vietnam World Pageant returns to the South Point Showroom to crown Mrs. Vietnam. The pageant focuses on community service and is open to all married Vietnamese women around the world.  Additionally, guests can expect to enjoy the music of James Brown featuring Down Around Brown Town and a performance from the talented R.A.G.E dancers. The winner of the pageant will represent Vietnam is the Mrs. World Beauty Pageant in Sanya, China this December.

Las Vegas natives, The Four Freshman, will take over the South Point Showroom and keep audiences singing and dancing all weekend long. The Four Freshmen formed in 1948 and have been touring worldwide ever since, with each member bringing remarkable vocal abilities and instruments such as drums, the trumpet, guitar and bass that make up their trademark vocal jazz harmony sounds.

The South Point Showroom, Exhibit Hall and Grand Ballroom will host watch parties for the Big Game on Sunday, Feb. 4 with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. Throughout the football game, guests will enjoy food and drink specials, including $25 Buckets of six with a choice of Budweiser and Bud Light in Aluminum Bottles, and $5 glasses of SKYY Vodka, Captain Morgan, Crown Royal and Don Julio. SPAZMATICS – Saturday Nights Throughout January and February

The SPAZMATICS will party away to the best of the 1980s in the South Point Showroom every Saturday night throughout January and February. Tickets are available for $5 or guests can purchase a “SPAZMATICS Party Package” for $10 including one ticket, one drink and reserved seating. Doors open at 10 p.m. General admission tickets are available to purchase for $5 as well as VIP tickets. Pop music icon Tony Orlando was named Casino Entertainer of the Year this evening at the fourth annual Casino Entertainment Awards.

 

Presented by Global Gaming Expo’s (G2E), the Casino Entertainment Awards, are the only awards exclusively honoring outstanding artists, executives and venues in the casino entertainment industry.

 

Three Dog Night was named Musical Artist of the Year and Gabriel Iglesias won Comedian of the Year at the awards ceremony held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as part of the week’s G2E conference and tradeshow for the casino industry.

 

Grammy Hall of Famer Brenda Lee and Tom Cantone, Senior Vice President of Entertainment & Sports at Mohegan Sun Tribal Gaming Authority, were presented with Casino Entertainment Legend awards, which recognize lifetime achievement in the casino entertainment industry.

The Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino was named Showroom of the Year. Thunder Valley Amphitheatre at Thunder Valley Casino Resort won Amphitheatre of the Year.

CBR Championship Bull Riding ‘South Point Vegas Challenge’ – Saturday, April 13
Tuff Hedeman and Championship Bull Riding (CBR) tour returns to the South Point Arena for another heart-stopping evening of bull riding Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m. Presented by Boot Barn, the South Point Vegas Challenge will showcase the world’s top 24 riders as they compete in three rounds of an “8-second formation” competition. All-star riders, including newly crowned 2012 CBR World Champion Josh Barentine, current PRCA World Champion Cody Teel and three-time PRCA World champion J.W.
