HoloHolo L

Holo Holo – The Happy Bar – is now open at California Hotel and Casino! Through this Sunday, July 3, all beers are only $3 all day and all night, in celebration of the bar’s debut.

Holo Holo was conceived from a Hawaiian term meaning to get out and about for some fun and leisure, and helps customers live up to its namesake with a diverse menu of craft beers as well as a full bar. Customers can enjoy a number of ice-cold refreshments, including Triple 7 Brewery’s house-brewed Royal Red lager, while watching the big game or meeting with friends. Holo Holo will also offer a monthly “beer-tail,” an imaginative special that features one of the many craft brews served at the bar. For the month of July, Holo Holo will serve the Summer Shandy – a refreshing and crisp mix of sweet & sour, Triple 7’s Royal Red Lager and Sierra Mist ($3), with an optional shot of Tito’s vodka added in to make it a Spiked Shandy ($6).
Holo Holo is the latest in the sweeping, multi-million dollar redesign and renovation of California Hotel and Casino, which has completed work so far on the valet and porte-cochere, guest registration, casino floor and more. Still ahead is a full redesign and upgrade of the hotel’s west tower, plus a casino floor sports lounge coming later this year.

Bringing a Company holiday tradition to southern Nevada for the first time, Boyd Gaming today announced it will be awarding a total of $25,000 this December to local nonprofit organizations in Trees of Hope.

Boyd Gaming’s newest dining experience – California Noodle House – debuts at the California Hotel and Casino

California Noodle House

Marrying a comfortable, modern environment with delectable flavors from throughout the Pacific Rim, the California Noodle House is Downtown Las Vegas’ newest dining destination.

True to its tagline – “Signature noodle dishes … and so much more” – the new California Hotel and Casino restaurant aims to create a unique and appealing, open and welcoming dining experience that delights the eyes as well as the tastebuds.

Designed by Tandem Design of Las Vegas, California Noodle House is centered around an open show kitchen where guests can watch their meals prepared by expertly trained chefs. The décor features a distinct Pacific Rim influence, with paper lanterns, luxurious textures on the booths and walls, and abstract art.

“The California Noodle House was designed to be a casual family-style dining experience, offering the guest a comfortable but fresh ambiance,” said Kim Daoust, principal and interior designer at Tandem Design. “We focused on clean line design elements accented with oversized wall graphics, natural textures, woven rope ceiling elements and clusters of lanterns for added flair.”

Guests will enjoy a menu selection inspired by cuisines from throughout the Pacific Rim, including distinctive flavors from Korean, Thai, Hawaiian, Chinese and Japanese dishes. Noodle dishes include Beef Chow Fun and Pad Thai, while soup offerings include Thai favorite Tom Kha Gai, Chinese specialty Won Ton Min, and Braised Oxtail Stew.

As Boyd Gaming’s latest contribution to the ongoing reinvention of Downtown Las Vegas, the California Noodle House is an experience designed to appeal to long-time Downtown customers and new visitors alike.  Hours of operation are 5 p.m. to midnight daily.

“As we celebrate the Cal’s 40th anniversary this year, Downtown Las Vegas is more popular than ever,” said Steve Thompson, Senior Vice President of Operations for Boyd Gaming’s Nevada region.  “As we look to the future, we are committed to keeping our Downtown experience fresh and appealing.  The debut of the California Noodle House is an important step in an exciting campaign that will strengthen Boyd Gaming’s reputation as Downtown Las Vegas’s leading resort operator.”
