Deftones have added a series of summer U.S. tour dates to their previously announced headlining tour, which kicks off on May 8th in Charlotte, NC. The second leg kicks off on August 2nd in Bethlehem, PA, and wraps up with a show in Mesa, AZ, on August 31st.

The multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning alternative-rock band are touring in support of their upcoming album Gore, which is available now from Warner Bros. Records. The band has released a new track from it, “Doomed User,” which is now available for purchase via all digital retailers after premiering on SiriusXM’s Octane channel. “It’s got a rockin’ rhythm and a high tech sound that will make you shake your body down to the ground,” frontman Chino Moreno said. The album’s current single “Prayers / Triangles” is climbing the Rock radio charts.

Rock in Rio USA has announced the availability of single day general admission tickets for the upcoming festival taking place May 8-9, 15-16 in Las Vegas.  Starting today, single day general admission tickets will be available for $169 for each date at rockinrio.com/tickets, while supplies last. Rock in Rio USA: Complete Lineup
Rock in Rio will take over the Las Vegas Strip on May 8-9, 15-16. The first weekend, dedicated to rock music, will feature No Doubt, Metallica, Linkin Park, Maná, The Pretty Reckless, and Hollywood Undead on the Main Stage. Mercedes Benz Evolution Stage performers for the first weekend include Foster the People, Deftones, Sepultura (featuring Steve Vai), Gary Clark Jr, Bleachers, Coheed and Cambria, Saints of Valory, Smallpools and Of Mice & Men.

The second weekend, May 15-16, will feature a pop-centric lineup with the Main Stage welcoming Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Echosmith, Empire of the Sun and Ivete Sangalo. The City of Rock in Las Vegas will also feature three Rock Streets – themed streets that will welcome attendees to experience an entirely new and exciting kind of music festival, and to enjoy the eclectic cultures of the U.S., the UK and Brazil.

Each street has 20 houses filled with shops and restaurants, along with a stage where bands and artists will perform throughout the day. Street artists and performers will also transform the street into their own stage, interacting and connecting with the audience in an intimate environment. Rock Street will open daily at 3 PM, with concerts and performances taking place until 1:30 AM when doors close.

The City of Rock, an open-air concert venue, will be located on The Strip near the corner of Sahara Avenue and spread out over 40 acres.  With a capacity of 85,000 people per day, the venue will also include a ferris wheel and a 64 foot high zip line that stretches 600 feet across in front of the Main Stage, which is 262 feet long. The venue also includes a VIP area that can accommodate up to 4,000 people, featuring air conditioning, an all-inclusive buffet, an open bar (certain premium liquors available for additional purchase) and a unique view of the City of Rock.

Doors for the City of Rock open at 3pm and close at 1:30 AM; the Sunset Stage and the three Rock Streets start their performances at 3:30 PM and the Main Stage opens at 5:30 PM.

Tickets for the upcoming Rock in Rio USA festival in Las Vegas in May are on sale at rockinrio.com/tickets with general admission weekend passes available for $298, single day general admission passes available for $169 (while supplies last) and single day VIP passes available for $498. To secure your spot for Rock in Rio USA, visit rockinrio.com/tickets and choose your preferred section (General Admission or VIP), customers in the USA and Canada will have their wristbands shipped to them and international customers will pick-up their passes at will call. Wristbands will be shipped beginning in April 2015. Inside the venue, all purchases, concessions and merchandise, will be cashless using RFID wristband technology.

General admission and VIP passes provide access to more than 10 hours of music and entertainment each day, as well as all attractions inside the venue. Re-entry is allowed once each day – wristbands must be scanned upon exit at the gate in order to re-enter that same day. ONE NIGHT FOR ONE DROP
One Night for ONE DROP is an original, one-night-only production scheduled for Friday, March 20 at The Beatles LOVE Theatre inside The Mirage. The event will feature artists from each of the eight Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil productions.

The third Annual One Night for ONE DROP, held around World Water Day, is being created and directed by Mukhtar O.S. Mukhtar for the second consecutive year. The evening will feature Cirque du Soleil artists when they bring together the message of “ONE THOUGHT, ONE WORLD,” as a metaphor of time and its effect on society, encouraging us to create the world in which we want to live.

ONE DROP, a non-profit organization created by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, works to secure water access by implementing integrated and unique water projects around the world and to reverse the growing water crisis by raising awareness for water-related issues. Since its inception in 2007, ONE DROP has worked to provide access to clean, safe water for more than 300,000 people.

 Rock in Rio today announced transportation options for the inaugural Rock in Rio USA music festival taking place May 8-9 and 15-16 in Las Vegas. Working closely with local Las Vegas authorities, Rock in Rio has developed a plan to provide convenient access for festival attendees at a minimal impact to local residents and tourists.

With no parking allowed in the area surrounding the venue, attendees are encouraged to arrive each day by the Las Vegas Monorail, shuttle or foot:

  • Las Vegas Monorail – Rock in Rio and the Las Vegas Monorail established a partnership and have developed customized schedules for the Monorail in order to maximize capacity and minimize wait times. For those arriving from other locations on The Strip, the venue is conveniently located a short walk from the SLS Las Vegas and Westgate Las Vegas Monorail stops. The Las Vegas Monorail operates from 7 AM until 3 AM, with options of single ride ($5), 24-hour ($12) and 2-day passes ($22.00), but a temporary discount is available for all multiple day passes from two to seven days on https://tickets.lvmonorail.com/rockinriousa2015/.
  • Shuttles – Pre-paid shuttle passes are available, offering attendees a quick, comfortable ride to the event.  Shuttles will pick up from three locations: the MGM Resorts Village across from Luxor and Mandalay Bay, the Downtown Events Center  and the World Market Center. All Shuttles will drop guests off at the conveniently located Gold Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is a short walk to the venue entrance. Return shuttle service will be available from the Gold Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center to all three pick up locations. Shuttles to the venue will run each day from 2:30 PM until 11 PM, with return service running 10 PM until 2:30 AM. 2-day shuttle passes are available for $25.
  • Pedestrian Traffic – For attendees staying within a 15 to 20 minute walking distance of the venue, walking is recommended for venue access. Pedestrian entrances will be easily accessible from Las Vegas Boulevard.

Absolutely no parking will be available at the venue and road closures surrounding the festival will require access by one of the above recommended transportation methods.

Rock in Rio, the legendary music festival, will host five weddings per day at the upcoming Rock in Rio USA in Las Vegas May 8 – 9 and 15 – 16, 2015.  The chosen lucky couples will be married at the Rock in Rio Chapel, part of the festival’s Rock Street experience, an unprecedented location on the famed Las Vegas Strip.

Couples can submit their love story at marryme@rockinrio.com to be considered for one of the limited free ceremonies, surrounded by music at Rock in Rio’s first-ever festival in the U.S. This is the first time the festival will have a real wedding chapel and no other destination could be more fitting than Las Vegas, the Wedding Capital of the World.

The theme of love has run through multiple editions of the international festival, with the first wedding taking place at Rock in Rio Brazil in 2011 at the request of one lucky couple.  The wedding attendee that caught the bouquet at this 2011 ceremony continued the magic at the 2013 festival, where she also got married at the City of Rock.  There was also a wedding at Rock in Rio Lisbon in 2014.  Now the tradition continues in a major way at Rock in Rio USA.

In anticipation for the May event, Rock in Rio took over Times Square in New York City on Friday, September 26 to announce the first acts that will perform at Rock in Rio USA: Metallica, Linkin Park, Taylor Swift and No Doubt will take the Main Stage and Deftones and John Legend will perform on the Sunset Stage.  The crowd was also treated to special surprise performances by past Rock in Rio performers Sepultura with Tambours du Bronx and John Mayer.  Rock in Rio continues to celebrate the upcoming U.S. festival with this week’s installation of a 27-foot-tall custom guitar that will greet visitors and locals flying to and from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

Passes for the Rock in Rio USA event in May are currently available through a limited pre-sale with general admission weekend passes available for $298 and VIP daily passes available for $498. 27-Foot-Tall Custom Guitar On Display At McCarran International Airport

Rock in Rio, the legendary music festival, will hit the Las Vegas Strip next May and the city is already warming up to the event: A 27-foot-tall custom guitar has been installed at McCarran International Airport next to the Arrivals area and will greet tourists and locals as they arrive in Las Vegas. With a bit over 220 days left until the opening of the City of Rock, this is the first sign that the festival is going to rock the city on May 8-9 and 15-16, 2015.

In anticipation for the May event, Rock in Rio took over Times Square last Friday, when more than 75,000 people gathered on the streets of NYC to watch the surprise performances by of Sepultura with Tambours du Bronx and John Mayer while more than 50 electronic billboards were synchronized to show the festival’s brand. Earlier in the day, the organization announced the first acts that will perform in next year’s event: Metallica, Linkin Park, Taylor Swift and No Doubt will take the Main Stage and Deftones and John Legend will perform on the Sunset Stage. The announcement was wide-spread across social media resulting in #RockinRioUSA  trending in Brazil and in the US on Friday night with over 431 million impressions.

Rock in Rio, the legendary music festival, has announced Metallica, Linkin Park, Taylor Swift, No Doubt (who attended the announcement), Deftones and John Legend as part of the initial lineup for its first stateside edition taking place May 8-9 and May 15-16 in Las Vegas. The announcement was unveiled as Rio de Janeiro and Las Vegas met in Times Square, the crossroads of the world, with an exciting surprise performance from past Rock in Rio artists John Mayer and Sepultura with Les Tambours Du Bronx to celebrate the festival’s 30th anniversary and first US edition in 2015. Sepultura and Les Tambour Du Bronx performed in honor of their past Rock in Rio collaboration and guitar hero John Mayer took the stage to bring hits like “No Such Thing” and “Gravity” to the gathered crowd. During the press conference, the organization also launched its Social Project “30 years, Many Dreams”.

Roberta Medina, Executive Vice President of Rock in Rio (and daughter of Founder Roberto Medina), expanded on Rock in Rio’s tremendous background by revealing some of outstanding facts around the global festival’s 30-year history.  With more than 7.4 million people in 14 editions, more than 1270 artists have performed in 85 days of the event. Over the past editions, more than 148,000 jobs have been created and more than 1 billion people have watched the concerts worldwide.  The statistics provided an in-depth look at creating a global giant as it celebrates its 30th anniversary with a new extension in the US.

“From the first Rock in Rio festival in Brazil in 1985 to next year’s anniversary and Las Vegas launch, it’s been an amazing journey with Rock in Rio fans and the artists that have taken part in the festival,” says Roberta Medina.  “We’re thrilled to see the construction of our first U.S. City of Rock and to announce the first artists who will perform in Las Vegas in May 2015.”

Rock in Rio USA & Brazil: Line-up Confirmations 
During the press conference, the organization announced the first artists that will take part of next year’s event in Las Vegas: Metallica, Linkin Park, Taylor Swift and No Doubt, who will all perform on the festival’s Main Stage. Metallica will return to the Rock in Rio stage after six previous performances at the international event.  Appearing on the same day as Metallica, multi-platinum rock group Linkin Park are also returning after previous Rock in Rio performances.

The LA band No Doubt has also been confirmed and made an appearance at the Times Square press conference. The band stated that they are “extremely happy to be taking the stage of Rock in Rio’s first US festival and to be part of such an amazing musical history as the festival celebrates its 30th anniversary.”

In addition, the organization also announced the first names of the line-up for the Sunset Stage: The Deftones and John Legend. The Sunset Stage has quickly become a phenomenon featuring a line-up filled with special guests and unexpected musical collaborations.

As 2015 will also host the return of Rock in Rio to Brazil, the organization announced some of the performers scheduled for September. Katy Perry will take the Main Stage in Rio for the second time, bringing her spectacular stage show to the Brazilian crowd. John Legend will also take the stage in Brazil and make his debut at the festival headlining at the Sunset Stage.

The City of Rock
Rock in Rio has joined forces with entertainment giants MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM), Cirque du Soleil and Ron Burkle (The Yucaipa Companies) for the festival’s U.S. debut in Las Vegas in May 2015. An alliance founded on a shared commitment to creating innovative entertainment, Rock in Rio, MGM Resorts and Cirque du Soleil will redefine the modern music festival for U.S. audiences with a monumental combination of the biggest names in music and a fully immersive entertainment experience, all housed in a spectacular, custom-made “City of Rock.”

The permanent open-air concert venue will be located on The Strip near the corner of Sahara Avenue, spread out over 37 acres and have the capacity for 85,000 people per day. It includes six stages, three themed Rock Streets encompassing the culture and music of the U.S., UK and Brazil and a zip line that stretches  64 feet high and 600 feet long in front of Main Stage. The venue also includes a VIP area that can accommodate up to 4000 people; an air-conditioned area with a unique view of the City of Rock and an all-inclusive buffet.

Further gearing up excitement for the US festival and its pre-sale, Rock in Rio has launched a mass-media campaign that will run in the U.S. with an overall investment of 25 million dollars. For the launch of the pre-sale ticket vouchers, the U.S. audience will see an action-packed commercial spot that will run for a 2 weeks period on television and online featuring Donald Sutherland. Featuring Hollywood blockbuster production values, Sutherland has a briefcase stolen and takes all necessary measures to retrieve it. After all, the suitcase contains Rock in Rio tickets!

“30 Years, Many Dreams”
The Times Square Takeover event also kicked off Rock in Rio’s “30 Years, Many Dreams,” this year’s theme for the event’s Social Project that will be granting wishes submitted by Rock in Rio fans. Since 2001, the festival has added a social component to the event and has raised and invested more than $23 million for environmental and social causes.

Rock in Rio was itself born from a dream that could have never been fulfilled had it not been for those people who believed in it.  As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations the organization has decided to pay that gratitude forward by helping to make dreams come true for young people who fight for their causes.  Contenders will upload a short text about their dream at rockinrio.com/usa/dreams, and the most compelling and passionate stories will be chosen.

To illustrate the project, a video campaign will be launched, presenting the first dream that has been fulfilled – 25 year old Brazilian clown Michel de Souza. Michel was born and raised in a small town near São Paulo and worked as a clown in the local circus. He dreamed of learning with the best professionals and taking the stage in a huge circus. His story moved Roberto Medina, and Souza is having the chance to train at Circus du Soleil and learn from the leading circus professionals in the world.

“Coming to the US was always Roberto’s dream and now that it is coming true with May’s festival in Las Vegas, we felt it was the perfect time to make others’ dreams come true with our ‘30 Years, Many Dreams project.’”

Hail To The King is the follow up to Avenged Sevenfold’s 5th studio album, Nightmare, which earned the band it’s highest ever debut on the Billboard album chart when it took the Number One spot and spawned three Number One, hit-singles “Nightmare”, “So Far Away” and “Welcome To The Family”. “Nightmare” broke radio records and was the most played current song at Rock Radio for all of 2010. Hail To The King is the follow up to Avenged Sevenfold’s 5th studio album, Nightmare, which earned the band it’s highest ever debut on the Billboard album chart when it took the Number One spot and spawned three Number One, hit-singles “Nightmare”, “So Far Away” and “Welcome To The Family”. “Nightmare” broke radio records and was the most played current song at Rock Radio for all of 2010. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino hosts “Rock ‘n’ Shave Benefitting St. Baldrick’s Foundation featuring Sin City Sinners,” a charity head-shaving event, in Vinyl from 1 – 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 2. The nonprofit funds the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers, giving survivors long and healthy lives.

Sin City Sinners’ Manager Jason Green will serve as the host of the event and Jason Cook guitarist of Five Finger Death Punch and KVVU Fox 5 news anchor Jason Feinberg will volunteer as guest shavers. Sin City Sinners’ long-haired drummer Rob Cournoyer and KOMP 92.3 FM’s Isaac “Big Mex” Andrade will be saying goodbye to their locks and in honor of the nonprofit.

Several famous rockers will be there in support of the cause including Robert Mason of Warrant, Frank DiMino of Angel, Jeff Young of Megadeth, Jeff Duncan of Armored Saint, Paul Shortino of Rough Cutt and Quiet Riot, and more. Additional celebrities to be confirmed closer to the event.

Check-in is at 1 p.m. with shaving festivities beginning at 3 p.m. for registered attendees who want to shed their hair to support the fight against childhood cancer. Those wishing to keep their mane can donate funds online and at the event. Throughout the day, guests can bid on various prizes and participate in multiple raffles with proceeds going to the organization. Raffle items include signed merchandise from the Deftones, Five Finger Death Punch, Sick Puppies, Ozzy Osbourne, Kofi Kingston, and more. At 8 p.m., Sin City Sinners will conclude the day of giving back with a free, high-energy rock show.

Deftones, one of the most enduring and influential forces in modern rock, released their latest album Diamond Eyes in May 2010. The sixth full-length studio effort by the Grammy-winning, platinum-certified group was produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters). The band recorded the album after their best friend and bassist Chi Cheng sustained a debilitating brain injury from a car accident in November 2008. Cudi’s first hit “Day ‘N’ Nite” was inspired by the passing of his uncle and changed his life forever. Recorded in a pitch-black room, Cudi put his heart into the gloomy pop-hit. After posting it on his MySpace, the song started racking up hits and eventually caught the attention of A-Trak, Kanye West’s former tour DJ. A-Trak fell in love with song, and Cudi ended up signing a single deal on the DJ’s Fool’s Gold label. A critically-acclaimed mixtape, A KiD Named CuDi was the MC’s first full body of work.

The game truly changed when A-Trak played “Day N Nite” at Kanye West’s “Stronger” premiere party. West loved the song and saw enough potential in Cudi that he flew him out to Hawaii to do reference hooks for Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3. Soon, West and Cudi started work on Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak album. Cudi’s sing-songy, eclectic style was the perfect match for 808s & Heartbreak and the up-and-comer ended up writing four songs. As part of the yearlong celebration of their 25th anniversary, Widespread Panic wants to show appreciation for their fans by returning to some of the venues their fans deemed as favorites. Roger Daltrey, iconic lead singer of The Who, hits The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Oct. 22 to perform The Who’s Tommy. He’ll also perform a variety of The Who’s classics and famous rock songs.

Daltrey will perform The Who’s legendary rock opera Tommy in its entirety from start to finish (the famous band never actually played the complete Tommy). Daltrey premiered the spectacular show in London at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust on March 25 and is now taking it on the road. Son of Bob Marley, Reggae’s most transcendent and iconic figure, Stephen Marley helps kick off the debut of SOUNDWAVES at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 10. The son of the music legend began performing when he was only six years old. In his early career, Stephen played guitar, sang and occasionally wrote songs for Melody Makers, his brother Ziggy’s band. To satisfy his creative interests, Stephen became familiar behind the scenes of the music industry, doing production for his brothers Damian and Julian. His production work with Damian’s Halfway Tree helped him win a Grammy Award for “Best Reggae” album. Stephen debuted Mind Control in March 2007, an acoustic online version was released in 2008 with the album hitting stores in 2009. Deftones, one of the most enduring and influential forces in modern rock, released their latest album Diamond Eyes in May 2010. The sixth full-length studio effort by the Grammy-winning, platinum-certified group was produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters). The band recorded the album after their best friend and bassist Chi Cheng sustained a debilitating brain injury from a car accident in November 2008. MySpace.com recently premiered a new video for lead single “Diamond Eyes,” which was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Roboshobo (Metallica, Mastodon, B-52’s).

As a band out of high school, Deftones mixed trip hop with thrash, melodic vocals with crushing reverb and pretty with ugly. Hip Hop sensation Kid Cudi’s The Cud Life Tour hits The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 24 with special guest Chip Tha Ripper.

Cudi’s first hit “Day ‘N’ Nite” was inspired by the passing of his uncle and changed his life forever. Recorded in a pitch-black room, Cudi put his heart into the gloomy pop-hit. After posting it on his MySpace, the song started racking up hits and eventually caught the attention of A-Trak, Kanye West’s former tour DJ. A-Trak fell in love with song, and Cudi ended up signing a single deal on the DJ’s Fool’s Gold label. A critically-acclaimed mixtape, A KiD Named CuDi was the MC’s first full body of work.

The game truly changed when A-Trak played “Day N Nite” at Kanye West’s “Stronger” premiere party. West loved the song and saw enough potential in Cudi that he flew him out to Hawaii to do reference hooks for Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3. Soon, West and Cudi started work on Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak album. Cudi’s sing-songy, eclectic style was the perfect match for 808s & Heartbreak and the up-and-comer ended up writing four songs. With West behind him and a Billboard hit with “Day ‘N’ Nite,” Cudi inked a deal with Kanye’s G.O.O.D music label. Soon after, he parlayed that into a major deal with Universal Motown.

On September 15, 2009, Kid Cudi released his debut album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day, a genre-bending concept album that took people through Scott Mescudi’s, aka Kid Cudi, dreams, nightmares, and unique views of the world. Featuring production from Emile, Plain Pat, RATATAT, MGMT and Kanye West, the album sold 104,419 copies its first week, landing No. 4 on the Billboard chart. Son of Bob Marley, Reggae’s most transcendent and iconic figure, Stephen Marley helps kick off the debut of SOUNDWAVES at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 10. The son of the music legend began performing when he was only six years old. In his early career, Stephen played guitar, sang and occasionally wrote songs for Melody Makers, his brother Ziggy’s band. To satisfy his creative interests, Stephen became familiar behind the scenes of the music industry, doing production for his brothers Damian and Julian. His production work with Damian’s Halfway Tree helped him win a Grammy Award for “Best Reggae” album. Stephen debuted Mind Control in March 2007, an acoustic online version was released in 2008 with the album hitting stores in 2009. Deftones, one of the most enduring and influential forces in modern rock, released their latest album Diamond Eyes in May 2010. The sixth full-length studio effort by the Grammy-winning, platinum-certified group was produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters). The band recorded the album after their best friend and bassist Chi Cheng sustained a debilitating brain injury from a car accident in November 2008. Cudi’s first hit “Day ‘N’ Nite” was inspired by the passing of his uncle and changed his life forever. Recorded in a pitch-black room, Cudi put his heart into the gloomy pop-hit. After posting it on his MySpace, the song started racking up hits and eventually caught the attention of A-Trak, Kanye West’s former tour DJ. A-Trak fell in love with song, and Cudi ended up signing a single deal on the DJ’s Fool’s Gold label. A critically-acclaimed mixtape, A KiD Named CuDi was the MC’s first full body of work.

The game truly changed when A-Trak played “Day N Nite” at Kanye West’s “Stronger” premiere party. West loved the song and saw enough potential in Cudi that he flew him out to Hawaii to do reference hooks for Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3. Soon, West and Cudi started work on Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak album. Cudi’s sing-songy, eclectic style was the perfect match for 808s & Heartbreak and the up-and-comer ended up writing four songs. With West behind him and a Billboard hit with “Day ‘N’ Nite,” Cudi inked a deal with Kanye’s G.O.O.D music label. Soon after, he parlayed that into a major deal with Universal Motown.

This year marks the 25th anniversary for Widespread Panic and their 2011 tour includes a special two-night stop at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16.

As part of the yearlong celebration of their 25th anniversary, Widespread Panic wants to show appreciation for their fans by returning to some of the venues their fans deemed as favorites. The band performed to a sold out crowd at The Joint in October 2010 and selected to return to the venue as part of the anniversary tour. The band and fans loved the atmosphere at The Joint and special activities will be planned throughout the property for the weekend as part of their celebratory return.

After 25 years, Widespread Panic continues to be one of the top touring acts in the country, playing packed houses and setting attendance records throughout the U.S. Their live performances have become legendary and their fans travel from all over to witness the experience.

Legendary punk rock group Iggy and The Stooges bring their high energy show to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Sept.10. Iggy and The Stooges is an American rock band from Michigan, first active from 1967 to 1974, and later reforming in 2003. Although they sold few records in their original incarnation and often performed for indifferent or hostile audiences, the group is widely regarded as instrumental in the rise of punk rock and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. Roger Daltrey, iconic lead singer of The Who, hits The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Oct. 22 to perform The Who’s Tommy. He’ll also perform a variety of The Who’s classics and famous rock songs.

Daltrey will perform The Who’s legendary rock opera Tommy in its entirety from start to finish (the famous band never actually played the complete Tommy). Daltrey premiered the spectacular show in London at The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust on March 25 and is now taking it on the road. Son of Bob Marley, Reggae’s most transcendent and iconic figure, Stephen Marley helps kick off the debut of SOUNDWAVES at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 10. The son of the music legend began performing when he was only six years old. In his early career, Stephen played guitar, sang and occasionally wrote songs for Melody Makers, his brother Ziggy’s band. To satisfy his creative interests, Stephen became familiar behind the scenes of the music industry, doing production for his brothers Damian and Julian. His production work with Damian’s Halfway Tree helped him win a Grammy Award for “Best Reggae” album. Stephen debuted Mind Control in March 2007, an acoustic online version was released in 2008 with the album hitting stores in 2009. Stephen has worked with The Fugees, Eve, Krayzie Bone, Erykah Badu and may others. His latest album was released in early 2011.

Blues rocker Kenny Wayne Shepherd performs poolside at SOUNDWAVES at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, July 30. Shepherd exploded on the music scene in the mid-‘90s and garnered huge amounts of radio play. He released his first album Ledbetter Heights in 1995 which sold more than 500,000 copies by early 1996. Ledbetter Heights impressed the music industry with its range of styles including acoustic blues, rock blues, Texas blues and Louisiana blues. He released Trouble is… in 1998, earning a Grammy Award nomination, released Live On a year later and The Play You’re In in 2004. Shepherd has since filmed a documentary, a story about his trip across the South with a portable recording studio. In 2010, he released his latest album Live! In Chicago.
