Spectacles Lands via Snapbot at The LINQ Promenade, Nevada’s First, Only Location

Spectacles Lands via Snapbot  at The LINQ Promenade,
Nevada’s First, Only Location

he LINQ Promenade is now the first and only location in Nevada to have a Snapbot—a fun, interactive yellow vending machine through which Snapchatters can virtually try-on and purchase a pair of Spectacles by Snap Inc.

Spectacles are sunglasses that capture Snaps. They are the new way to make memories and feature a built-in video camera that records exactly what the wearer sees, hands-free, with a touch of a button. Snaps taken with Spectacles save wirelessly into Snapchat’s “Memories” and can then be uploaded to a Snapchatter’s Story or shared directly with family and friends in a new circular video format that can be played full-screen, in any orientation..

To date, Snapbots have landed in fun and surprising locations throughout the U.S. and select countries in Europe for about a day at a time each. The latest Snapbot landing in Las Vegas is unique as it will call The LINQ its home for the summer. Previously, Snapbots have popped up at places such as the Grand Canyon and the Eiffel Tower.

“Spectacles are popping up all over the world and driving more excitement with every location,” says Shaun Swanger, vice president and general manager, The LINQ Promenade. “The LINQ Promenade is an ideal destination for this offering, where locals and tourists alike can get in on the action, creating Snaps with The LINQ Promenade and iconic High Roller observation wheel as the backdrop.”

While at the Snapbot location, customers can virtually try on each color sunglasses by pushing the corresponding button (coral, black, or teal). This virtual try-on technology leverages the same technology that powers Snapchat Lenses. Spectacles come charged and ready for Memory making and will be located near The LINQ Promenade fountain and Flour & Barley Brick Oven Pizza.
