Peabo Bryson
Saturday, October 6

Throughout his career, vocalist, songwriter and producer Peabo Bryson has released 20 albums, multiple hit songs and made music history when he became the first artist to have separate records topping four different charts. Bryson gained international recognition for his ability to produce romantic ballads and songs under multiple genres, including R&B, pop and jazz. In the early ‘90s, the silky-voiced soul artist went on to win two Grammy Awards for “Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal” for performances on Disney movie soundtracks, including the duet “Beauty and the Beast” with Celine Dion, and “A Whole New World” from the film “Aladdin.”

Most recently, Bryson collaborated with powerhouse producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to release his 21st album “Stand for Love,” featuring R&B hits like “Love Like Yours and Mine.”

The Kentucky Headhunters To Set Sail For The Second Time On Rock Legends Cruise

THE KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS TO SET SAIL FOR THE SECOND TIME ON ROCK LEGENDS CRUISE

GRAMMY award-winning Southern Blues-Rockers Continue Touring in 2017 to Support New Album, ‘On Safari’

The Kentucky Headhunters have been taking fans on a musical adventure for five decades, with no signs of slowing down in 2017. The band is taking their energetic and unruly live show off-shore on this year’s SOLD OUT Rock Legends Cruise in support of their brand-new album On Safari.

The Headhunters will venture out to sea with some of rock music’s greats including Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, REO Speedwagon, Creedence Clearwater Revisted, Thin Lizzy, The Marshall Tucker Band, John Mayall, Todd Rundgren and more. The Rock Legends Cruise sets sail on Jan. 19 on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas.

“It feels great to be returning to the Rock Legends Cruise. There’s no thrill quite like playing alongside some of the iconic bands of the 70s and 80s that influenced our career,” said Richard Young of The Kentucky Headhunters. “We’re proud to be a part of this not only because of these bands we are such fans of, but also because the proceeds of the cruise will benefit a great cause – the Native American Heritage Association.”

Rock music fans lucky enough to have snagged tickets will see several performances from the Headhunters and will likely hear iconic favorites like “Walk Softly on This Heart of Mine” and “Dumas Walker” as well exciting new songs from On Safari such as “Beaver Creek Mansion,” “Deep South Blues Again” and “God Loves A Rolling Stone.” On Safari features 10 original songs as well as covers of Charlie Daniels’ “Way Down Yonder” and Alice Cooper’s “Caught In A Dream.” On Safari is a Plowboy Records/Practice House Records joint venture and is available here.

Keep up with The Kentucky Headhunters on Facebook, Twitter and at www.KentuckyHeadhunters.com.

About The Kentucky Headhunters:
Known as “Southern Rock Royalty” and the “great American rock ‘n’ roll band,” The Kentucky Headhunters have maintained a longevity most acts can only dream about. With a GRAMMY® Award, two Top 10 charting albums, four consecutive Top 40 hits and countless other honors, The “Heads” are credited for creating a unique blend of honky-tonk, blues, and southern rock that appeals to the toughest music critics and listeners of all kinds. Getting their start in 1968, brothers Fred and Richard Young and cousins Greg Martin and Anthony Kenney, from Edmonton, Kentucky, formed Itchy Brother, which later morphed into The Kentucky Headhunters after Kenney departed and Doug Phelps joined the band. Their first album, Pickin’ On Nashville, (1989), surprised the world when it became a major success, selling over two million copies. Their 2015 release Meet Me in Bluesland, included the last vocals ever recorded of the late, great pianist Johnnie Johnson — Rock N Roll Hall of Famer and legendary keyboardist for Chuck Berry. The album reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Blues Album chart the week of its debut. It also garnered top placement on the Billboard Americana Chart. The band’s Fall 2016 release On Safari is a southern rock album that tips the hat to family and the southern way of life. The Kentucky Headhunters still tour extensively throughout the United States and Canada, and recently completed their first-ever European tour. Legendary rockers Styx and REO Speedwagon hit the road together for only three shows in 2011 including The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Styx’s Tommy Shaw, James “JY” Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips (along with the occasional surprise appearance by original bassist Chuck Panozzo) have performed more live since 1999 than all of the previous years of the band’s existence combined. Spawned from a suburban Chicago basement in the early 1970s, Styx would eventually transform into the virtual arena rock prototype by the late1970s and early 1980s, due to a fondness for big rockers and soaring power ballads.

Styx is known for hit singles and classic rock radio standards “Come Sail Away,” “Renegade,” “Blue Collar Man,” “Fooling Yourself” and “Too Much Time on My Hands.” For more info visit http://www.styxworld.com/

REO Speedwagon, originally formed in Champaign, Ill., is still led today by keyboardist Neal Doughty (founding member since 1967), Kevin Cronin (who has fronted the band since 1972 on lead vocals, guitar and keyboards), and bassist Bruce Hall (since 1977), along with lead guitarist Dave Amato (since 1989) and drummer Bryan Hitt (since 1990). Together, the band continues to define the essence of two enduring genres, arena rock during performance side, and classic with audio and visual.

REO Speedwagon is known for hits “Ridin’ The Storm Out,” “Roll With The Changes,” “Keep On Loving You,” “Take It On The Run,” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.” For more info visit www.speedwagon.com

Kid Cudi Friday, June 24 at 9 p.m.
(Special guest Chip Tha Ripper)
Tickets start at $39.50
On sale now
Hip Hop sensation Kid Cudi’s The Cud Life Tour hits The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 24 with special guest Chip Tha Ripper.

Cudi’s first hit “Day ‘N’ Nite” was inspired by the passing of his uncle and changed his life forever. Recorded in a pitch-black room, Cudi put his heart into the gloomy pop-hit. After posting it on his MySpace, the song started racking up hits and eventually caught the attention of A-Trak, Kanye West’s former tour DJ. A-Trak fell in love with song, and Cudi ended up signing a single deal on the DJ’s Fool’s Gold label. A critically-acclaimed mixtape, A KiD Named CuDi was the MC’s first full body of work.

The game truly changed when A-Trak played “Day N Nite” at Kanye West’s “Stronger” premiere party. West loved the song and saw enough potential in Cudi that he flew him out to Hawaii to do reference hooks for Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3. Soon, West and Cudi started work on Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak album. Cudi’s sing-songy, eclectic style was the perfect match for 808s & Heartbreak and the up-and-comer ended up writing four songs. With West behind him and a Billboard hit with “Day ‘N’ Nite,” Cudi inked a deal with Kanye’s G.O.O.D music label. Soon after, he parlayed that into a major deal with Universal Motown.

On September 15, 2009, Kid Cudi released his debut album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day, a genre-bending concept album that took people through Scott Mescudi’s, aka Kid Cudi, dreams, nightmares, and unique views of the world. Featuring production from Emile, Plain Pat, RATATAT, MGMT and Kanye West, the album sold 104,419 copies its first week, landing No. 4 on the Billboard chart. The album’s reception proved Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone’s assertion that Cudi was a “game-changer in hip-hop.” To date, he’s sold over 4.6 million digital singles, 1.3 million mobiletones, and according to The Hype Machine, he is among the top ten most blogged about artists of all-time.

Cudi released his sophomore album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, in 2010. The album featured Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and GLC, with production from Emile, Plain Pat, Jim Jonsin, Diplo, Dot Da Genius and others.
