Greg Bonham Returns to The Smith Center With G’Day Las Vegas

 

Australian entertainer Greg Bonham returns to Las Vegas and the stage at the Cabaret Jazz room inside The Smith Center on Saturday, June 10 at 7 p.m. with “G’Day Las Vegas.” As his third return to the entertainment capital of the world, Bonham will capture audiences with his soulful voice and sizzling trumpet skills, performing songs from Maynard Ferguson to U2 and Eric Clapton, with classic hits including “Hallelujah” alongside Bonham’s emotionally charged original songs.

Accompanied by his eight-piece superstar band, and award-winning pianist, Ryan Ahern who will open the show and perform renditions of famous tunes by Jerry Lee Lewis, Boogie-Woogie, Queen and Ray Charles.

Before America came calling, Bonham was a farm boy from Australia who rose to fame from Australian and UK television appearances and selling more than 14 million records in Russia. He now performs all across the United States and is excited to return to The Smith Center in Las Vegas.

SEA MONSTERS REVEALED AT SHARK REEF AQUARIUM

  • The world’s largest exhibition of uniquely preserved sea creatures takes center stage with Sea Monsters Revealed at Shark Reef Aquarium.
  • Through the use of a revolutionary polymer preservation technique, commonly known as plastination, guests get to see the outside and inside of some of the sea’s most magnificent inhabitants.
  • The exhibition features an 18-foot, 3,000-pound whale shark along with a 15-foot-long mako shark and giant sunfish among its more than 18 full-body sea creatures.
  • Additional displays include 150 individual organs and smaller specimens such as tropical fish, crustaceans and octopuses.

“Raiding the Rock Vault” has announced “Gimme Shelter” – a fundraising initiative to support Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Las Vegas’ only no-kill shelter for animals who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, or otherwise face homelessness and danger. On Sunday, August 2, musicians and cast members from “Raiding the Rock Vault” attended Nevada SPCA’s “Out of the Gutters,” an annual charity event, which took place at Sam’s Town, where they walked the red carpet, competed in a bowling tournament, and raised awareness and funding for the shelter’s mission and the furry friends it supports.

Since forming on the campus of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, a little more than 16 years ago, Umphrey’s McGee—guitarist/vocalists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger, keyboardist/vocalist Joel Cummins, bassist Ryan Stasik, drummer/ vocalist Kris Myers and percussionist Andy Farag—has gone on to perform over 100 concerts annually, releasing seven studio albums and selling more than 3.3 million tracks online. Before joining Bon Jovi, McDonald was the bass player for the David Bromberg Band, touring world-wide and playing on many Bromberg albums. RAIDING THE ROCK VAULT – “Classic Rock by Those Who Rocked It” – made its triumphant return to LVH – LAS VEGAS HOTEL & CASINO, Friday, Jan. 24, with a new lineup and songs. This amazing concert experience brings the history of rock ‘n’ roll to life with an all-star super group of musicians, the likes of which is not seen anywhere in Las Vegas, playing rock’s greatest hits from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s.

“We’ve received a tremendous outpouring of support and feedback from our fans,” said creator, director and producer John Payne. “With that, we’ve been able to refresh the show’s lineup and content to deliver an unparalleled music experience.”

RAIDING THE ROCK VAULT has signed hard rock guitarist Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), as well as two female vocalists, who will trade off: Carol-Lyn Liddle and Stephanie Calvert (Starship). Songs that have been added to the hit show include “Dreams” (Fleetwood Mac), “Heartbreaker” (Pat Benatar), “Alone” (Heart), “Dream On” (Aerosmith), “Highway to Hell” and “Thunderstruck” (AC/DC).

 The LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is excited to announce that its spectacular show, “Raiding the Rock Vault,” has signed a long term agreement to continue through 2014.

“Raiding the Rock Vault” opened in March 2013 and has consistently received critical and audience acclaim, as well as having been rated Vegas’ #1 Show.  The show will reopen on January 24, 2014.

“The LVH is beyond thrilled to have “Raiding the Rock Vault” continue in 2014,” said LVH Vice President of Entertainment, Rick White.  “The show promises to only get bigger and better this year with new cast members, songs and guest stars.  We truly believe it’s going to continue to be known as THE must-see show for visitors and locals alike.”

The world’s top artists and bands have collaborated with Hard Rock International for more than two decades as part of the brand’s acclaimed Signature Series program, helping to raise millions for a variety of worthy endeavors globally.  Hard Rock is proud to launch its U2 Signature Series: Edition 30 T-shirt in support of human rights around the globe. The back of the T-shirt bears the signatures of each member of U2, including singer Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen, Jr.
