 The 2017 ‘Aces of Comedy’ Series is set to deliver some of the biggest names in comedy, including Jay Leno, George Lopez and other famously funny comedians to the Terry Fator Theatre stage at Mirage Hotel & Casino. Comedian Nick Swardson and the Emmy Award-winning Wayne Brady, among others, also return for another season of big laughs. All performances are scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The Television Hall of Fame inductee Jay Leno will return to the Terry Fator Theatre for multiple performances in 2017. This represented Lopez’s return to television after starring in the groundbreaking hit sitcom George Lopez, which aired for six seasons on ABC. Lopez is currently on his stand-up comedy tour, The Comedy Get Down, with Charlie Murphy, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer. KATHLEEN MADIGAN
Kathleen Madigan, one of the most respected comedians of her generation, will be returning to the Terry Fator Theatre in 2017. Howie Mandel is the latest comedian to join the 2016 Aces of Comedy series lineup at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. He will host his first show as a member of the series Friday, Sept. 2 at 10 p.m. Ticket prices start at $39.99 plus tax and service fees and are now on sale.

Mandel has remained a constant force in show business for more than 30 years. He is an executive producer of several shows through his production company ALEVY PRODUCTIONS, which has produced “Take It All” and “Howie Do It” for NBC and “Mobbed” for FOX, among others. Mandel also serves as one of the judges on NBC’s summer talent competition hit series “America’s Got Talent,” alongside Heidi Klum, Mel B and Simon Cowell. Previously, Mandel received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Host For A Reality or Reality – Competition Program for “Deal or No Deal” and a Daytime Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Game Show Host” for the syndicated version of the show.

Daniel Tosh will return to the Terry Fator Theatre January 23 – 24 and March 27 – 28. The 11th season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE debuts with auditions from New Orleans and Chicago on a two-hour premiere event airing tonight (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Next week, the Emmy Award-nominated series continues with audition episodes in Chicago and Los Angeles Wednesday, June 4 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), in Los Angeles and Philadelphia on Wednesday, June 11 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and in Atlanta on Wednesday, June 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Talented dancers who impress the judges during these auditions will be invited to Pasadena for the callback round airing Wednesday, June 25 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Then, once the top 20 dancers are selected, they will be paired with a partner performing in their own styles, and voting begins as dancers perform for America’s vote on the series’ milestone 200th episode Wednesday, July 2 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Each week a special guest judge will join resident judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy.

Guest judges in the audition cities include Jenna Dewan-Tatum (Atlanta), Charles “Lil Buck” Riley (Atlanta), Billy Porter and Misty Copeland (Philadelphia), Wayne Brady (New Orleans), Jenna Elfman and Fabrice Calmels (Chicago) and Christina Applegate (Los Angeles). As previously announced, in a brand-new feature this season, pop and R&B phenom Justin Bieber and his choreographer, Nick DeMoura, will introduce top dance crews from around the country who will be featured in each of the audition city episodes. Once the series is down to the Top 10, each finalist will be joined by a SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE All-Star dancer. These All-Stars are experts in various styles of dance – Ballroom, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Jazz – and will partner with one of the Top 10 finalists to perform in their specialty. Each week, based solely on America’s votes, it will be revealed who keeps dancing and who goes home.

Featuring Emmy Award-nominated host Cat Deeley, each jam-packed two-hour episode of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE will include awe-inspiring performances and eliminations. The series also will return to the one-contestant-takes-all grand finale prize for the competition’s sole winner.

GRAMMY Award-winning artist John Legend will headline the 12th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational (MJCI) Celebration in Las Vegas with a private performance at ARIA Resort & Casino , Friday, April 5. Legend will take the stage at the annual invite-only party for the tournament’s celebrities and VIP invited guests.

The soulful singer, songwriter and pianist will perform hits throughout the evening, including songs from his new album Love in the Future (co-produced by Legend, Kanye West and Dave Tozer), scheduled for release this June. The celebration also will feature a performance by Blue Man Group, which recently introduced an entirely new, mega-enhanced show at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. The annual gala will mark a night of celebration following the two-day Celebrity-Amateur tournament April 4 and 5, which pairs one celebrity with four amateur participants; and lead into the weekend’s MJCI two-person, 36-hole scramble format tournament, including only competing celebrities, April 6 and 7.

Hosted by ARIA Resort & Casino and returning to Shadow Creek, MJCI marks only the third time in history that the exclusive golf course will open its doors to the public. Proceeds from the charitable tournament will benefit Make-A-Wish; James R. Jordan Foundation; Opportunity Village; and Cats Care, the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats’ charity arm; as well as the participating celebrities’ charities of choice.
