Pro Jam Mondays at Beerhaus Fosters Unique Community for Musicians

Pro Jam Mondays at Beerhaus Fosters
Unique Community for Musicians

Lovers of live music are invited to rock out at Beerhaus at The Park as local musicians join forces with music industry veterans to present Pro Jam Mondays. The weekly event is complimentary and open to the public, and kicks off at 9 p.m.

Creator Ben Carey, a seasoned professional musician who’s been a part of notable rock bands such as Savage Garden and Lifehouse, delivers veteran performers to the stage alongside select local artists, hand-picked by Carey himself. Far from an open-mic night, the collision of musical styles and a wealth of experience creates a contagious excitement that keeps fans on their feet all night.

“Pro Jam Mondays is sparking the creation of a musical community at Beerhaus each week, bringing incredible musicians from the Las Vegas area together who perform locally and worldwide,” said Carey. “Fans get to witness first-hand the passion and love for music from all of the musicians, and what they learn from each other as they perform.”

Touring veterans who have taken the stage since the show’s recent debut include Chris Lukes, former drummer for Kelly Clarkson and Enrique Iglesias; and Danny DeMorales, former bass player for Dionne Warwick. The list will continue to expand each week as more musicians join the community.

Oktoberfest at The Park Returns September 28 – October 1

Oktoberfest at The Park Returns September 28 – October 1

Timeless Bavarian Tradition will feature Classic Brews,
Authentic Eats and Festive Games

For the second consecutive year, Oktoberfest at The Park will awaken Las Vegas’ German spirit as the fun festival returns September 28 – October 1. Located at The Park, Las Vegas’ premier dining and entertainment district nestled between T-Mobile Arena and New York-New York Hotel & Casino, the event will offer merrymakers the opportunity to revel in Bavarian tradition with flowing beers, savory bites, entertaining games and cheerful folk sounds in celebration of the world’s largest beer festival.

Bier und Brot!
Upon arrival, guests may purchase a commemorative liter stein – available at Beerhaus, The Park’s festive beer hall. Ticket booths in the venue will sell the stein for $15 empty and $25 filled; refills will be available for $14.  The Park’s beer-centric celebration will feature authentic brews from Hacker-Pschorr and Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu, two breweries permitted to serve beer at the original Oktoberfest, as well as Oktoberfest-style selections from familiar breweries such as Sierra Nevada, Goose Island and Sam Adams.

Quintessential Bavarian snacks served at tents throughout The Park, as well as at Beerhaus, will include:

  • Frikadellen – Pan-fried hamburgers served with new boiled potatoes
  • BrezenSoft pretzels with spicy mustard and pickles
  • Schweineschnitzel – Pork schnitzel sandwiches with fries
  • Nürnberger Bratwurst – Petite pork sausage served with German potato salad
  • HendlCrispy, golden-brown rotisserie chicken
  • Linzer Kekse und Bienenstich – Jam-filled, almond-flavored cookies and bee sting cakes made of brioche dough and pastry cream topped with a honey glaze

Spaß und Spiele!
Whether a spectator or participant, amusing games will be offered in tents throughout The Park’s lush beer garden space for guests’ enjoyment including tricycle racing, ring toss, a beer can challenge and more. Each day, guests who successfully complete all games will be entered into a drawing for worthy prizes.

No Oktoberfest is complete without the Chicken Dance, a noble tradition rumored to date back to the original Volkfest’s commencement. Those looking to shake their tail feathers may join the silent chicken dance competition in which guests will break out their best dancing birdie impersonation while wearing wireless music-playing headphones in an effort to be named Oktoberfest Chicken Dance Champion.

Musik und Tanz!
Revelers can enjoy live folk music daily by HofBrau Boys. As the party continues throughout the evening, attendees can keep the party alive while listening to live entertainment by local bands such as The District and Generations.

Oktoberfest at The Park festivities will take place 1 p.m. to late night, Thursday, Sept. 28 – Sunday, Oct. 1.

No admission required. Dirndl and Lederhosen encouraged. Prosit!

Beerhaus Kicks Off Oktoberfest at The Park with Celebrity Keg Tapping

The first-annual Oktoberfest at The Park opened with a lively party at Beerhaus, highlighted by American Country music duo LOCASH tapping the keg and jumpstarting the festivities. The pair tapped a commemorative firkin, then danced and cheered with the crowd with a series of boisterous drinking chants.

Prior to the keg tapping, The Dummkopfs – a Las Vegas-local ensemble – built up the excitement with toe-tapping polkas and punny jokes, only pausing to lead the crowd in traditional German toasts. A strongman competition challenged guests to hit the bell to the top of a tower and a giant Connect Four game saw many intense rivalries settled. The beer was flowing, the smiles were glowing and everyone’s German spirit was showing.

Oktoberfest at The Park is transforming the entertainment district in front of T-Mobile Arena into a scene straight out of Munich, with live music, classic drinking games and limited-edition brews offered throughout the weekend. Continuing at 4 p.m. today and Sunday, Oct. 2, guests can fill their steins and sample 10 different Oktoberfest brews while enjoying bratwurst, German potato salad and more.
