Brett Young with Special Guest Mitchell Tenpenny at Mandalay Bay Beach Friday, August 17

BRETT YOUNG
WITH SPECIAL GUEST MITCHELL TENPENNY

FRIDAY, AUGUST 17 AT 9 P.M.

Tickets on-sale Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m.

ACM Male Vocalist of the Year Brett Young will perform at Mandalay Bay Beach in Las Vegas on Friday, August 17 as part of Mandalay Bay’s Concerts on the Beach 2018 summer lineup sponsored by Coors Light and Pepsi. Young will be joined by special guest Mitchell Tenpenny. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m.

Named as the only country act on Billboard’s Top 10 New Artists, ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year Brett Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere through his honest lyrics and West Coast-meets-Southern sound, aptly dubbed “Caliville” style. “Destined for mass appeal” (Rolling Stone Country), the 2018 ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year released his self-titled, GOLD-certified debut album on BMLG Records in February 2017. The album was recorded in Nashville with producer Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Steven Tyler) and features 11 of the 12 tracks co-written by Brett, including his most recent No. 1 Platinum-certified single “Like I Loved You” and the No. 1 Platinum-certified debut “Sleep Without You.” The follow-up sophomore single, a Billboard and Mediabase No. 1 hit “In Case You Didn’t Know,” solidified Brett as the first country artist to hit the 3x Platinum-certification sales mark since 2014. Brett has proven himself to be one of Country music’s “most reliable new hitmakers” (Tennessean), not just with the success of his songs, but also with the success of his music videos. “In Case You Didn’t Know” has surpassed 175 million views alone, more than any debut country artist, and while his current single “Mercy” is steadily climbing the radio charts, the video for the song hit No. 1 in its second week on the Vevo Top Country chart. Having previously toured with superstars Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, and Lady Antebellum, the California native sold out every single stop on his debut headlining CALIVILLE TOUR. This spring he is on the road with Thomas Rhett’s LIFE CHANGES TOUR 2018.

The Mandalay Bay Beach stage, which rises over the Four Diamond resort’s sand and surf wave pool, has hosted entertainment’s biggest names as part of the fan-favorite series. Tickets start at $42.50 (plus applicable service fees) and go on sale Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m. at MandalayBay.com or Ticketmaster.com.

Under The Sun – Saturday, July 18
Under The Sun, the hugely popular summer tour celebrating the golden age of alternative pop rock ‘n’ roll, returns to the Mandalay Bay Beach Saturday, July 18. The 2015 tour will feature top bands of the‘90s and today including, Sugar Ray, Better Than Ezra, Uncle Kracker and Eve 6.

Mark McGrath, best known as lead singer and songwriter for Sugar Ray, boasts multiple Top 10 hits including “Someday,” “When It’s Over” and the twin No. 1 classics “Fly” and “Every Morning.” McGrath and Sugar Ray became worldwide fan favorites with several multi-platinum albums, countless sold out tours, innumerable TV appearances and covers of such national publications as Spin and Rolling Stone. More than two decades since its foundation, Sugar Ray remains devoted to the cause that united them – the pursuit of good times, sunshine and great rock ‘n’ roll.

Better Than Ezra is a New Orleans-based band that came together in 1988 at Louisiana State University, first unveiling its debut album, Deluxe, independently in 1993 and then again via Elektra Records in 1995. Fueled by singles like “In The Blood” and the blockbuster “Good,” which reached the Top 40 on Billboard’s “Hot 100,” Deluxe achieved RIAA double platinum certification and undeniable status as a classic of the alternative era.

Uncle Kracker vaulted to stardom as a charismatic presence and chief collaborator in Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band before kicking off a stunning solo career of his own with 2000’s RIAA double platinum debut, Double Wide. From there, the Michigan-based singer, songwriter and performer unfurled a string of Top 10 multi-format hits including 2001’s No. 1 smash “Follow Me,” “In A Little While,” “Smile” and, of course, 2003’s record-setting cover of Dobie Gray’s classic “Drift Away.”

Eve 6 formed in Southern California in 1995, inking a deal with RCA Records before they’d even finished high school. The band’s album debut arrived in 1998 attaining platinum success on the back of hits like the Modern Rock chart-topper “Inside Out.” 2000’s Horrorscope affirmed Eve 6 as alternative stars via a run of radio gems like “Promise,” “On The Roof Again” and the crossover Top 40 anthem “Here’s To The Night.”

Tickets are priced at $34.50, not including applicable service charges.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show featuring Led Zeppelin2 – Friday, Sept. 4
Acclaimed tribute band, The Australian Pink Floyd Show, will take the stage at the Mandalay Bay Beach Friday, Sept. 4 with Led Zeppelin2 joining as special guests. The Australian Pink Floyd Show gave its first concert in Adelaide, Australia in 1988 and has since performed in more than 35 countries worldwide.

Striving to reproduce the Pink Floyd experience and bring new music to new audiences, the live show continues to include a stunning light and laser show, video animations, film projected onto a large circular screen and other special effects. With 27 years of history, the world’s biggest, best and greatest tribute band continues to delight audiences.

Led Zeppelin2, The Live Experience, brings fans the excitement of Led Zeppelin “In Concert” by re-enacting the live improvisation and onstage interaction that earned Led Zeppelin its legendary status for performing. Rather than a “greatest hits” show, fans experience Zeppelin as Zeppelin would have played in front of an audience. The band has earned critical praise along the way.

Tickets are priced at $39.50, not including applicable service charges.

Fans now have the opportunity to see Thompson Twins’ lead singer Tom Bailey perform the group’s hits live at Mandalay Bay.

Midge Ure (Ultravox)
The career of GRAMMY Award-winning artist Midge Ure, best known for his UK chart-topping hit “If I Was,” has spanned decades. The artist evolved from his participation in such groups as The Rich Kids, Thin Lizzy and Ultravox, among others, to performing solo and directing a series of charity rock concerts. In addition to directing the charity concerts in honor of Nelson Mandela and for The Prince’s Trust and Wicked Women for Breakthrough, Ure co-organized the legendary Live Aid concert. He also co-wrote and produced “Do They Know It’s Christmas” to raise money for relief of the 1983 – 1985 famine in Ethiopia. The hit became the top-selling single in UK Singles Chart history, selling one million copies in the first week, and stayed at No. 1 for five weeks.
China Crisis
China Crisis released its debut album, Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms, Some People Think It’s Fun to Entertain, in 1982. Dirty Heads and Pepper Party at Mandalay Bay Beach Friday, August 8

Tickets Now on Sale

The eclectic band Dirty Heads and Hawaiian trio Pepper will take over the Mandalay Bay Beach stage and perform at the open-air venue Friday, Aug. 8 at 9 p.m. The two groups will spend the summer months touring together in support of their latest albums. Dirty Heads’ fourth album, Sound of Change, is scheduled to be released in July while Pepper’s self-titled sixth studio album was released in late 2013.

Tickets are priced at $39.50, not including applicable service charges, and are now on sale. Tickets are available at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets also are available for purchase at mandalaybay.com or ticketmaster.com.

Dirty Heads’ breakout album Any Port in the Storm was released in 2008 and included the hit track “Lay Me Down” featuring Rome of Sublime with Rome. The track spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart before the band released its sophomore album Cabin by the Sea in 2012. The following year Dirty Heads released its first fully acoustic album, Home – Phantoms of Summer: The Acoustic Sessions, which debuted on the iTunes charts’ Top 5. For the aptly titled album Sound of Change, scheduled to release in July, the band expanded its sound with songs varying from club bangers to rap tracks. The album also will include a pop hit, but throughout Sound of Change, Dirty Heads still maintains its reggae-rock feel good vibe. The band’s previous work featured talented artists such as Del the Funky Homosapien, Matisyahu, Rome and Ky-Mani Marley, among others.

Pepper has toured extensively with groups including 311, Slightly Stoopid, Flogging Molly and Sublime with Rome and also have been featured in the movies “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Good Luck Chuck.” After releasing five albums, Pepper has opened a new chapter in their storied career. The resulting album, self-titled to accentuate where the band feels they are presently, broadens Pepper’s style, veering into new sonic territory while still retaining all the fun elements that make the band so beloved by their fans. The ever-present sense of life surges through the tracks, bolstering the sense of optimism throughout. From their debut Give’n It to their 2006 standout album No Shame, Pepper has embodied not only a style of music but a lifestyle, one that’s most easily found on beaches across the world, but also one that’s relatable to anyone anywhere.
