About Rancid
Emerging from the blue-collar swamps of Berkeley, California, Rancid has now been a living, breathing punk rock band for over a quarter century. Back in 1991, after the demise of their much beloved first band, Operation Ivy, founding members Tim Armstrong (vocals, guitar) and Matt Freeman (bass, vocals) decided to do the impossible — start an even better band. Thus, Rancid. Signing with Epitaph Records, the band released their first album Rancid in 1993. Shortly thereafter, Lars Frederiksen (vocals, guitar) joined the band, because… well, are you going to tell him he can’t? The result, in 1994, was Let’s Go.

In 1995, Rancid released the classic platinum selling …And Out Come The Wolves. You still remember when you first heard it. They followed with the even more ambitious Life Won’t Wait in 1998, and in 2000, Rancid released another album entitled Rancid, just to see if anyone was paying attention. After Indestructible in 2003, Branden Steineckert (drums) joined to solidify Rancid’s current line-up. They subsequently released the albums Let The Dominos Fall (2009) and Honor Is All We Know (2014). And out now is another immediate classic, Trouble Maker (2017).

About Deep Purple
With a body of work spanning seven decades, Deep Purple has helped pioneer and define the hard rock genre while progressively moving into new areas to keep their sound fresh and attract new fans to the legions who have remained loyal since the band’s inception. Known as one of the hardest working bands ever, Purple has released six studio albums since 1996 alone and has toured globally since forming in 1968 with little rest. In 2007 (almost 40 years after being formed) the band performed 40 dates in France to an audience of 150,000 while this summer, across the US and Canada, the band partnered with fellow hard rockers Judas Priest embarking on a wildly successful 25 city tour.

Purple has stayed true to its musical roots taking from an eclectic mix of styles to create a distinctive sound that defines the band today, but which in turn, has created a legacy that very few bands could ever hope to replicate. The band has written and produced so many classic songs that its audience ranges widely in age and background, something the band has embraced and caters to, with its concert set lists. Having sold more than 100 million albums and filled global arenas for decades, its little wonder respected British radio station Planet Rock named the group the 5th Most Influential Band Ever, while VH1 ranked them No. 22 on its Greatest Artists of Hard Rock list. Additionally, Deep Purple was given the Legend Award at the 2008 World Music Awards and, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

A year later came debut album We Don’t Need To Whisper, which hit No. 4 on Billboard’s Top 200 and featured the Top 5 modern rock hit “The Adventure.” 2007’s I-Empire followed, hitting No. 9 on Billboard’s Top 200 and featured rock radio hit “Everything’s Magic.” In 2010, Angels & Airwaves released Love and a year later, Love: Part Two accompanied by a critically acclaimed film, “Love,” which was shown in 460 theaters nationwide during a one-night film screening and live-streamed concert event titled “Love Live.” The band’s last full-length album was 2014’s The Dream Walker, which hit No. 1 on iTunes and No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart. A multimedia project, the album was accompanied by a graphic novel, comic books and a Blade Runner-meets Harry Potter short film, which won Best Animation at the Toronto International Short Film Festival. “Rebel Girl” followed 2016’s Chasing Shadows EP, which was released alongside “Sekret Machines,” a novel DeLonge co-wrote with New York Times bestselling author A.J. Hartley.

About Calexico and Iron & Wine
Calexico and Iron & Wine first made an artistic connection with In the Reins, the 2005 EP that brought Sam Beam, Joey Burns and John Convertino together. The acclaimed collaboration introduced both acts to wider audiences and broadened Beam’s artistic horizons, but it was the shared experience of touring together in the tradition of Bob Dylan’s “Rolling Thunder Revue” that cemented the bond. Their metaphorical roads diverged in the years that followed, but they kept in touch and cross-pollinated where they could. Although they often talked about rekindling their collaboration in the studio and on stage, it wasn’t until last year that their schedules aligned.

The latest release from the collaboration, Years to Burn can’t help but be different from In the Reins. Back then, Calexico entered the studio with a long list of previous collaborations (first in Giant Sand, then backing the likes of Victoria Williams and Richard Buckner) and the knowledge that they loved Sam’s voice and his songs, but wondered if his material was so complete and self-contained that it lacked a way in, so hushed and delicate that it might be overwhelmed. For his part, Beam had been intimidated by their virtuosic playing and their deep comfort in an encyclopedic array of styles.

Years to Burn was recorded in Nashville with noted producer Matt Ross-Spang over the course of five days at Sound Emporium, a fabled studio founded in the sixties by Cowboy Jack Clement and the site of countless landmark sessions in country and rock over the ensuing decades. It features contributions from veteran Calexico trumpet player Jacob Valenzuela and Paul Niehaus on pedal steel, along with frequent Beam cohorts Rob Burger (Tin Hat Trio) on piano and Sebastian Steinberg (Soul Coughing, Fiona Apple) on bass.

About Gojira
Gojira incites a volcanic release with their sixth full-length album, Magma. Fueled by unbridled emotion, the 10 tracks confront the fragility of life, the aftershocks of loss, and what lies beyond this realm. Musically, the French quartet gracefully swings between quaking and quivering guitars, mind-bending percussion, chillingly elegant melodies, and cosmic atmospherics. The band has always dealt in extremes, uncovering light in darkness and finding beauty in heaviness. Magma continues that tradition, while expanding the sonic palette.

The group has challenged itself and heavy music since forming in 1996. Their 2012 offering, L’Enfant Sauvage, garnered unanimous critical applause courtesy of Pitchfork, Q Magazine, Alternative Press, The Guardian and more. Metallica, Slayer, and Mastodon have all invited the band on tour in addition to show-stopping festival performances at Download Festival, Rock on the Range, Slipknot’s KNOTFEST, and many others. They’ve earned fans in everybody from James Hetfield and Slash to Deftones and Lamb of God.

About August Burns Red
Every time August Burns Red records an album, the GRAMMY Award-nominated Pennsylvania quintet push themselves harder, crush expectations, and reach a new level. It’s why they’ve become a heavy music torchbearer. In 2015, Found In Far Away Places marked their second consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200. The single “Identity” notched a GRAMMY Award nod in the category of “Best Metal Performance.” A streaming juggernaut, both “Identity” and “Ghosts” crossed the 3 million mark on Spotify. When it came time to record their eighth full-length Phantom Anthem, the game didn’t change. The musicians put their heads down and rallied around the same shared goal, upping the ante across the board. The musical equivalent of a clenched fist haymaker, the grooves hit harder, the hooks blaze brighter, and the instrumentation ignites even more intricacy as evidenced by lead singles “Invisible Enemy” and “The Frost.”

About HELLYEAH
With a revered metal pedigree of its members, HELLYEAH’s Blood for Blood was the album metal fans and critics were waiting for. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock album chart, setting the bar incredibly high for the band. HELLYEAH, does not disappoint with their fifth album, UNDEN!ABLE.

With the 2007 self-titled debut, HELLYEAH broke the ice, introducing the world to a band comprised of familiar faces who played in influential bands with signature sounds. 2010’s Stampede showed off a more pleasure-seeking side of HELLYEAH. 2012’s Band of Brothers was marked by internal change and further experimentation, while Blood for Blood found the band reaching the summit of brutality and creativity. UNDEN!ABLE is the logical next step and it’s frontloaded with songs that crackle with a palpable industrial agro energy.

About I Prevail
Gold-certified Michigan quartet I Prevail refashion, re-up, and recharge rock music on their anxiously awaited 2019 sophomore offering, Trauma. If anybody can elevate the genre to mainstream ubiquity once more, it’s this band. Since their 2014 arrival, they set a precedent to catalyze rock’s evolution. The band put up astounding numbers rarely synonymous with the genre or their peers, for that matter. Nearing half a billion streams and 115 million YouTube views, they moved more than 500,000 albums worldwide, notched three No. 1 singles on SiriusXM Octane, and played 500-plus shows in just three years. Not to mention, they achieved a gold single in the form of their take on Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” from the Heart Vs. Mind EP. On the mega-anticipated 2019 offering Trauma, they uplift rock to a plateau where soundscapes can unpredictably toss and turn between heavy metal, alternative, hip-hop, and electronic moods without warning, boundaries, or rules. Meanwhile, the lyrics team with confessional emotionality as if ripped from the pages of a secret diary. Vulnerable, vital, and visceral, the 15-track opus illuminates the future, and it’s as bright and bold as the singles “Breaking Down” and “Bow Down.”

About New Found Glory
Hailing from Coral Springs, Florida, punk-pop band New Found Glory was formed in mid-1997. The bandmates wasted little time amassing a cult following, eventually rising to the upper tier of punk-pop music alongside Good Charlotte, Saves the Day, and other Warped Tour-affiliated bands. A high-profile tour with blink-182 and an appearance in teen flick, “American Pie 2,” helped increase New Found Glory’s exposure. Summer of 2002’s Sticks and Stones propelled by the hit single “My Friends Over You,” help snag New Found Glory a headlining spot for the Warped Tour while their album climbed to gold certification. After the tour and its resulting hype, the band released 2004’s Catalyst, which peaked at number three on Billboard’s Top 200, driven in part by the success of “All Downhill from Here.” In 2014, New Found Glory delivered Resurrection, which found them diving into their punk roots with a renewed sense of purpose. The album was re-released in 2015 as Resurrection: Ascension, featuring two new studio tracks and a reworked version of “Vicious” with Paramore’s Hayley Williams. In 2017, New Found Glory celebrated their 20th anniversary with the release of their ninth album, Makes Me Sick, featuring the singles “Happy Being Miserable” and “Party on Apocalypse.”

About Dead Kennedys
Dead Kennedys were one of the most popular and important American hardcore punk bands of the late ’70s and early ’80s. They formed in San Francisco in 1978 and after a brief rehearsal period, Dead Kennedys played their first gig at Mabuhay Gardens in July 1978. It wasn’t too long before the band gained a considerable following around San Francisco. Their sound could be described as a cross between the Sex Pistols and the Ventures.

Dead Kennedys’ early success led them to record their first single, “California Über Alles,” in 1979. “Holiday in Cambodia” (1980) followed and is perhaps the band’s definitive moment. Almost as essential was “Kill the Poor” (1980) and the debut LP, Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables (1980). That LP went on to be awarded a Gold Record in Britain.

The band continued to expand their audience by playing at a mix of underground venues in different corners of the U.S. and Canada. They did their first British tour in late 1980, which established the band as a figurehead for an audience long deprived of the Pistols, Biafra stage-diving to great enthusiasm. Dead Kennedys went on to tour worldwide, covering the continents of North America, Europe and Australia.
