Singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley has partnered with Flag & Anthem to create an exclusive new lifestyle collection, Desert Son, launching this month. At one minute past midnight Kid Rock unveiled his latest song “Tennessee Mountain Top” on streaming and sales platforms. “Tennessee Mountain Top” is impacting at Country Radio October 2. The track brings out a Country infused southern rock spirit that has drawn Country fans to Kid Rock for almost two decades since he released the CMA, ACM nominated “Picture.” Both “Picture” and his massive summer anthem “All Summer Long” continue to be fan favorites at Country Radio.

Big & Rich Rise Into Top 10 on Country Radio With Latest Single, “Lovin’ Lately” Featuring Tim McGraw

The duo Big & Rich have always marched to the beat of their own drum, but now it seems that Big Kenny and John Rich are bucking the musical trends more than ever. With the entry of their latest single, “Lovin’ Lately,” into the Top 10 this week, the award-winning duo can claim a “hat trick” of three straight singles in that portion of the chart in their decade-plus history. But, the story doesn’t end there.

The singles – all from their Gravity album – were released on the group’s own Big & Rich Records label and promoted by their own independent promotion team at New Revolution – a rarity in today’s scene, controlled mainly by the majors. The duo had been part of the Warner Brothers roster for well over a decade when they decided to tackle a new way of doing things business-wise. Rich admits it was a little scary, but it’s paying off quite well.

“It’s terrifying and exciting all at the same time. You take on all the business and marketing side yourself, but there’s a big team of people that we have assembled that are helping us do this. But at the end of the day, our board meeting consists of two guys. If we agree, it will happen, and if we don’t, it doesn’t.”

The single features a vocal cameo from fellow hit maker Tim McGraw, who actually gave them the idea for the song. “He told it to us in a parking lot in Canada, where we were doing a show with him. He said he had a song title — ‘Who You Been Loving Lately?’ We thought it was brilliant. We wrote it, recorded it, and emailed it to him. His response was a video treatment — he wrote an entire video script for the song. I looked at Kenny and said, ‘I guess he likes it.’ Kenny said, ‘Apparently so, we should ask him if he wants to sing on it.’ He said, ‘Sure! What are you doing next Thursday at 3pm?’ We said, ‘Recording you, Brother Tim.”

Current four-time CMA nominee Dierks Bentley celebrated his 15th career No. One “Different For Girls” on Tuesday (10/4) during an intimate sit-down lunch at Nashville’s Moto’s with close friends and family alongside collaborator and friend Elle King. After celebrating the chart-topper with co-writers JT Harding (ASCAP) and Shane McAnally (GMR), Bentley and King performed the CMA nominated song at the Grand Ole Opry, where King made her Opry debut. Paying homage to legendary collaborations, the pair gave the audience a bluesy performance of “Jackson.”

With over five million albums sold, 11 GRAMMY nominations, membership in the Grand Ole Opry, a multitude of CMA, CMT, & ACM nominations and awards, and ten No. 1 songs, country rocker Dierks Bentley will headline the Krewe of Orpheus’ 2015 Orpheuscapade.

The event will also feature the 2015 Orpheuscapad premiere of a dazzling hi-tech experience which promises to bring audience engagement to an entirely new level. “We are very excited to not only bring another first to Mardi Gras but to do it in the theatrical fashion for which the Krewe of Orpheus is known,” offered Sonny Borey, Krewe Captain.

No Limits, the nationally acclaimed 11-piece show band, and Wes Raymond & the Soul Factory will be on hand for the Lundi Gras festivities along with other musical entertainment, including a special pre-event performance of NOCCA alumni in celebration of the art school’s 40th anniversary.

Country artist Darius Rucker will be bringing his high-energy performance to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, October 18. Rucker will be joined by special guest Corey Smith. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.

 

Rucker, who first attained multi-platinum status as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish, wrote ten of the twelve tracks on his new album True Believers – ranging from his current single, the feel-good, sing-along, “Radio” to the sophisticated narrative of “Shine.”

 

Since re-introducing himself to the world as a country artist, Rucker has had a truly remarkable few years. In 2008, he released Learn to Live; the album’s first single, “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” made him the first African American with a No. 1 country song since Charley Pride in 1983. It was followed by two more singles that topped the charts – “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” and “Alright” – and earned him the New Artist of the Year award at the 2009 CMA Awards. His 2010 follow-up, Charleston, SC 1966, included two more Number Ones, “Come Back Song” and “This.”

 

Rucker released True Believers on May 21. The album is the third consecutive album to top the Billboard Country albums chart and features the Platinum-certified, ACM and CMA nominated, GRAMMY award-winning two week No. 1 single “Wagon Wheel.”

 

In October 2012, Rucker achieved a childhood dream when he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.  Asked if he can believe the unprecedented success of his second career, Rucker just laughs. “From where I was five years ago to the Grand Ole Opry, why would I believe that?,” he says. “I didn’t even know if country radio was going to play my song, but you can’t think about things like that.”

1. Lightly mist COLOUR FANATIC multi-tasking hair beautifier on damp hair for shine and heat protection.
