Kenan Thompson to Host 2019 NHL Awards Presented by Bridgestone Live from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on June 19

Live Broadcast Set for 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBCSN and Sportsnet

 

Emmy Award-winning actor Kenan Thompson will host the 2019 NHL Awards™ presented by Bridgestone on Wednesday, June 19, the National Hockey League announced today. The televised celebration of the League’s best regular-season performances will be broadcast live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on NBCSN and Sportsnet in the U.S. and Canada, respectively, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Tickets to the event are available for purchase at NHL.com/Awards.

 

Thompson currently is in his record 16th season as a cast member of NBC’s iconic “Saturday Night Live.” The actor, producer and comedian made his television debut in Nickelodeon’s all-kid sketch comedy series, “All That,” before starring in the wildly popular show’s spinoff, “Kenan and Kel,” in 1996. Thompson is familiar to hockey fans for his role in “D2: The Mighty Ducks” and “D3: The Mighty Ducks.” His other feature film credits include “Fat Albert,” “Good Burger” and “Heavyweights.”

 

“My first movie role was in ‘D2: The Mighty Ducks’ so my connection to hockey dates back to my childhood,” said Thompson. “I have a great deal of admiration for hockey players and the NHL, so I’m excited to be a part of the 2019 NHL Awards show and its celebration of the year’s best performances.”

 

This summer, Thompson will serve as the executive producer and judge alongside Chrissy Teigen, Jeff Foxworthy and host Amanda Seales on NBC’s comedy competition series “Bring The Funny.” Nickelodeon recently announced that Thompson also will executive produce the upcoming “All That” reboot.

The 2,797 square foot Las Vegas shop is the brand’s largest footprint to date, with 20 styling chairs and features all of the signature elements that define the unique Drybar experience. However, exclusive for Las Vegas, the flagship shop has a full cocktail bar, built-in photo booth and live DJ, as well as an Event Manager to host and plan parties for all occasions. The Las Vegas shop aspires to be the ultimate “pre-party” destination for ladies visiting Sin City.

 

The Las Vegas shop is Drybar’s 63rd location, and with additional openings on the horizon in NYC, Los Angeles, and Miami, the brand is on track to have over 70 locations by the end of 2016.

 ABC and dick clark productions have announced that the “2015 Billboard Music Awards” is set to return to ABC and will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on SUNDAY, MAY 17 at 8pm ET. The show will showcase this year’s hottest musical acts and biggest music stars.  TV host and supermodel Chrissy Teigen will host with hip-hop superstar and actor Ludacris, who returns to host for the second consecutive year and whose eighth studio album, “Ludaversal,” will be released tomorrow.

“If my extensive collection of all 53 ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ compilations is any indication, I am both qualified and honored to join Ludacris in hosting this amazing show that spotlights the best music and artists of the year,” said Teigen.

“I had so much fun hosting the Billboard Music Awards last year and I can’t wait to be back!” said Ludacris.

dick clark productions and Billboard announced today that Grammy Award-winning recording artist and actor Ludacris will host the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.  The show will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, on ABC at 8pm ET.Ludacris will take to the Billboard stage while in the midst of filming his role in the highly anticipated Fast & Furious 7.  The musician-turned-actor has received many of the music industry’s top accolades for his work, including Grammy Awards for “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration” for the song “Yeah!” in 2005, “Best Rap Song” for “Money Maker,” and “Best Rap Album” for the album Release Therapy in 2007.
