PHOTOS: Tropicana Las Vegas’ Newest Chef Robert Irvine Announces Upcoming Restaurant Name & Concept at ‘Robert Irvine Live’

TROPICANA LAS VEGAS’ NEWEST CHEF ROBERT IRVINE ANNOUNCES UPCOMING RESTAURANT NAME
& CONCEPT AT ‘ROBERT IRVINE LIVE’

Thursday evening, Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine surprised audience members at ‘Robert Irvine LIVE’ by revealing the name and concept of his newest Las Vegas restaurant Robert Irvine’s Public House coming summer 2017 to Tropicana Las Vegas. Irvine’s first foray into the Las Vegas culinary landscape will feature a one-of-a-kind food and entertainment experience. The all-new restaurant will offer a range of comfort food options inspired by Irvine’s culinary travels from around the world – all in a pub-like atmosphere.

“Robert Irvine’s Public House is all about the people! The all-new restaurant will be the perfect entertainment venue for locals and tourists alike featuring a pub environment, where guest are invited to congregate and enjoy great food and drinks,” said Irvine. “Once you see the restaurant space, you will be wowed. I am really excited to be a part of the culinary landscape here in Las Vegas, and am honored to partner with Tropicana Las Vegas and Penn National Gaming.”

‘Robert Irvine LIVE’ was a high-energy, multimedia, and multi-sensory theatrical experience inside The Tropicana Theater. Much like Irvine’s hit television shows Dinner: Impossible and Restaurant: Impossible, the former British Navy cook walked into theater with no knowledge of what he was about to face. From cheek retractors to handcuffs, Irvine faced three cooking challenges brought on by the audience during the 120-minute live interactive show. Over 20 audience members were called to the stage to help, ambush and compete against the celebrity chef. In the end, Irvine successful made the impossible possible with three delectable dishes in a turnaround time of only 15 minutes each. In addition, Irvine also paid tribute to the men and women that serve the country. Over 100 military were graciously invited, courtesy of Irvine and Tropicana Las Vegas.

“Chef Robert Irvine is truly one-of-a-kind and we are thrilled to welcome Irvine into the Tropicana Las Vegas family,” said Aaron Rosenthal, general manager of Tropicana Las Vegas. “With much anticipation, we are pleased to announce Tropicana Las Vegas’ newest restaurant addition, Robert Irvine’s Public House. This has been a very exciting chapter for the property, and we’re excited to continue to create a premier destination in Las Vegas for our guests and beyond.”

That afternoon Robert Irvine also visited Three Square Food Bank. There, he toured the facility with Chief Development Officer Michelle Beck and learned about Three Square’s programs and helped to put meals together with other local volunteers.

In May of 2016, the Food Network chef announced that he would be teaming up with Tropicana Las Vegas to open his first restaurant concept on the Las Vegas Strip. By way of introduction, Irvine repelled 22 stories (220 feet) down the exterior of the hotel, greeting guests in true Robert Irvine-fashion.

New Gluten-Free Fried Chicken Now at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas

FRIED CHICKEN
GLUTEN-FREE FRIED CHICKEN DEBUTS AT BROOKLYN BOWL LAS VEGAS

Brooklyn Bowl is famous for its fried chicken – “without question the best, crispy, crunchy, yummy fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life,” said Chef Michael Psilakis on Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate.”  From a recipe created by Brooklyn Bowl partners Bruce and Eric Bromberg of acclaimed Blue Ribbon Restaurants for the original Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Las Vegas tourists and locals alike have been getting their fried chicken fix at the Las Vegas location of the iconic venue since its opening last March. Now, the gluten-averse have cause for celebration. The perfectly crispy, impossibly savory gluten-free version of the mouthwatering recipe is now available exclusively at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas.

Brooklyn Bowl’s gluten-free fried chicken is prepared by Executive Chef Dermott Driscoll with gluten-free matzo meal flown in directly from Israel. The restaurant has contracted for 4,000 pounds of the special matzo, which is only produced three times per year.

Combined with Blue Ribbon’s proprietary spice blend, the matzo meal provides the optimal texture to ensure the chicken is not only gluten-free, but also irresistibly crunchy. Available as dinners, including a half-chicken (dark, mixed or white), served with mashed potatoes, collard greens with bacon and honey; as well as platters, which consist of 8 to 24 pieces of chicken (available in dark, mixed or white), the gluten-free fried chicken will be offered at the same price as the Bowl’s traditional fried chicken. 2014 Downtown Brew Festival Returns to Clark County Amphitheater with Elevated Culinary and Craft Beer Infusions Saturday, Sept. 20

Las Vegas’ premier fall beer festival adds new ingredients to the mix

Motley Brews’ third annual Downtown Brew Festival (DBF) returns to Clark County Amphitheater on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 6 to 10 p.m. with an all-new food focus featuring beer-inspired culinary creations from prominent Las Vegas chefs, paired with local entertainment in a backyard setting.

As the sun sets on Las Vegas’ iconic backdrop, the Downtown Brew Festival will become a friendly backyard celebration beneath the stars and a nonstop evening of live entertainment with performances by A Crowd of Small Adventures, Josh Royse and Daniel Park. This year, Las Vegas’ premier fall festival is expanding on the craft beer and backyard motif as local celebrity chefs add a new ingredient to the festival’s overall atmosphere with elevated culinary menus.

“Las Vegas’ craft beer industry has really expanded and we are thrilled to be able to provide an opportunity for the community to immerse itself into the lifestyle,” said Brian Chapin, founder of Motley Brews. “There is more to this whole movement than an abundance of craft brews and this year we are going to showcase how the different beers can redefine the culinary experience.”

Chefs from a number of culinary hotspots, including Comme Ça, DW Bistro and Forte will heighten the craft beer experience with dishes created specifically to emphasize the flavors and aromas of the featured brews. Chefs will be serving one-of-kind dishes ranging from Crispy Pig Skins with Chile Lime Sea Salt to Smoked Kumamoto Oysters.

Adding to the innovative culinary menu, VIP Pavilion guests will be treated to several courses created by Chef Sonia El-Nawal. The former Food Network “Chopped” finalist serves as executive chef for The Perch, which will open at Downtown Container Park in late September, and The Market, an urban grocery scheduled to open at 611 Fremont Street in October. El-Nawal is a veteran chef with experience in such restaurants as Jean-Georges, JoJo, Nobu in New York City and the Hotel Condesa DF in Mexico City, and brings a wealth of beer knowledge from her time spent living in Brussels.

“We’re celebrating Downtown and the strides the city is making, and we couldn’t be more excited to have someone like Chef Sonia, who draws from years of international experience to create an incredible culinary scene at this year’s festival,” remarked Chapin.

The grassy surroundings of the amphitheater will be lined with more than 50 stations representing more than 150 unique beers, from local, regional, and international breweries. Both Victory Brewing Company, Southern Pennsylvania’s premiere and nationally-celebrated craft brewery, which will soon be making its Las Vegas debut, and  Stone Brewing Co. will make their first appearance at the festival.

Tickets are currently on sale and available for General Admission for $35; Early Entry for $45; and VIP for $75 until Tuesday, Sept. 16. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit The Neon Museum and Nevada Craft Brewers Association (NCBA). For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the Downtown Brew Festival website.

ICONIC CHICAGO EATERY THE WIENER’S CIRCLE TO OPEN IN LAS VEGAS
Three Locations to Debut Summer 2014 inside Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station

The Wiener’s Circle, Chicago’s famed hot dog stand, will open in Las Vegas this summer with locations at Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino. Offering authentic Chicago-style char-grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, fresh-cut fries and milkshakes, the 31 year-old landmark boasts famous fans including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and Rachael Ray and has been featured on the Travel Channel and Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate.”The Wiener’s Circle moniker was selected by founders and horse racing fanatics Larry Gold and Barry Nemerow as a play on that sport’s designation for each race’s top thoroughbreds, and they have spent the last three decades delivering quality fare at reasonable prices. Over the years, many have tried to coax them to expand to other markets, however Las Vegas was the sweet spot for the pair.

While the Chicago location has gained some notoriety in recent years for late night antics between customers and staff, the Las Vegas outposts will focus on the legendary food in a family-friendly environment.

In addition to the classic menu offerings, the new locations will debut exclusive only-in-Vegas items, including all day breakfast nosh such as bacon, two eggs over easy and American cheese sandwiched in a fried donut, wieners in the blanket – ten or twenty piggies with a selection of sauces, a veggie burger and the Adult Happy Meal with a signature Chicago Char Cheddar dog, fries and a Pabst Blue Ribbon. The Wiener’s Circle will also serve the ever popular Krispy Kreme donuts.

Station Casinos’ popular entertainment destinations Red Rock Resort and Santa Fe Station provide a variety of amenities, including hotels, a full array of gaming, live entertainment, bowling, movies and an assortment of restaurants and bars. Both of The Weiner’s Circle outposts will be nestled between the sports book and poker room; the Red Rock Resort location is slated to open in early June, while the Santa Fe Station locations, including a satellite stand at the bowling center, are expected to debut this summer.
