Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill coming to Downtown Summerlin this October

 

 

The Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group is proud to announce the executive team for its new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill opening at Downtown Summerlin this fall.

 

Chef Mark Andelbradt will serve as the restaurant’s Executive Chef and Cheryl Mahar as the General Manager.  Slated to open in October, the restaurant will mark the company’s seventh Las Vegas restaurant and Puck’s first off-Strip location.

 

Mark Andelbradt is currently part of the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group family where he oversees Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio at The Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes as executive chef.  A native of Chicago, Andelbradt has held high positions in prestigious kitchens including Daniel in New York with Daniel Boulud; Morimoto in both Philadelphia and New York with “Iron Chef” Masaharu Morimoto and Brasserie T and Tru in Chicago with Rick Tramonto and Gale Gand.

 

“It’s exciting to be a part of Wolfgang’s first off-Strip restaurant in Las Vegas,” said Mark Andelbradt.  “Las Vegas is now home for my family, and I’m really looking forward to becoming even further rooted in the community with this great neighborhood restaurant.”

 

Colorado native Cheryl Mahar is no stranger to the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group. Mahar began her managerial experience at Spago Las Vegas inside The Forum Shops at Caesars where she worked for six years.  While at Spago, Mahar helped cultivate staff incentive and training programs as well as developed wine and beverage programs.  From there, Mahar held various managerial and sales positions with Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion, Cili Restaurant and Bali Hai Golf Course and Wirtz Beverage, providing her with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the food and beverage industry.

 

“I’m looking so forward to re-joining the Wolfgang Puck family,” said Cheryl Mahar.  “It was tremendously rewarding to be a part of Wolfgang’s first Las Vegas venture when I was with Spago in the early 90s. Now I have the opportunity to become a part of Wolfgang’s history again with the opening of our first Las Vegas neighborhood restaurant.”

Postrio has dropped the “Bar & Grill” moniker and now focuses on seasonal, new American cuisine with global influences that can be enjoyed on the “indoor” patio overlooking the Carnivale atmosphere of St. Mark’s Square or in the intimate main dining room. Southern Nevada’s Premiere Culinary Extravaganza is Back at The Palazzo for the Fifth Year

The Las Vegas Epicurean Affair returns to The Palazzo® Las Vegas on Thursday, May 22. Sponsored by the Nevada Restaurant Association (NvRA), the Las Vegas Epicurean Affair showcases prestigious restaurants and beverage purveyors that have elevated Las Vegas to an international dining destination. Satisfy your weekend cravings at the new brunch at Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio at The Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes.  Debuting this Mother’s day weekend, brunch will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. with a menu of traditional and contemporary morning after-inspired culinary delights, courtesy of the restaurant’s new executive chef Mark Andlebradt.

 

Guests seeking a leisurely weekend brunch will find a bevy of options including table delights such as Cinnamon Pecan Roll with maple glaze and Artisanal Charcuterie & Cheese with charred eggplant and pickled cauliflower.  Chef Andelbradt will offer his take on brunch favorites with dishes such as Crisp Corned Beef Hash with hen egg and toasted sourdough; Breakfast Sandwich with prosciutto, roasted tomato and arugula; and Classic Eggs Benedict with choice of lobster, smoked salmon or spinach mushroom.

 

For those looking for heartier lunchtime fare, the menu also will offer a variety of small to large plates including Spicy Big Eye Tuna Tartare; English Pea Agnolotti; the restaurant’s famed Maine Lobster Club; and Grilled Flat Iron Steak Frites with shoestring potato and red wine-shallot butter.

Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio is pleased to announce Chef Mark Andelbradt as its new Executive Chef. Andelbradt joins the restaurant inside The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Las Vegas with more than 18 years of international culinary experience in prominent kitchens in countries such as Asia, Europe and North America.

“We are excited to welcome Mark to our family,” said Wolfgang Puck. “Mark brings a wealth of knowledge in contemporary, global cuisine to Postrio. His culinary craft emphasizes quality, value and a commitment to fresh ingredients. Mark will help to elevate the kitchen and also the way guests experience Postrio.”

A Chicago native, Andelbradt grew up in a large household where he developed a passion for cooking at a young age. After graduating from Kendall College in Evanston, IL, in 1995 with a B.A. in Hospitality Management, he traveled to Hong Kong and Italy to further develop and refine his cooking techniques. From there, he arrived stateside and rose to high positions through various prestigious kitchens including Brasserie T and Tru in Chicago with Rick Tramonto and Gale Gand; Daniel in New York with Daniel Boulud; Morimoto in both Philadelphia and New York with “Iron Chef” Masaharu Morimoto; and Tao Las Vegas.
