Monte Carlo Resort & Casino will host 156 couples as they declare their love on the run during the Run Thru Wedding Ceremony at the GEICO Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon.

Forty-one couples marrying for the first time and 115 couples renewing their vows will run side-by-side to Monte Carlo’s BLVD Plaza, the open-air Strip-side destination, where they will exchange vows in front of friends and family at mile three of the course. In its tenth year, couples from countries around the world including Australia, Canada, Germany and Brazil will partake in the annual tradition.

Non-running family members and friends are invited to watch the ceremony officiated by Dao Vu, host of KTNV Channel 13’s popular shows, “The Morning Blend” and “Valley View Live!” from a designated viewing area at BLVD Plaza.

MONTE CARLO ANNOUNCES SPIRITED NEW EVENTS IN “BOOZE & BITES” DINNER SERIES

Monte Carlo Resort & Casino announces lively new events in its interactive dinner pairing series “Booze & Bites.” Each month a different restaurant at the resort hosts a dinner in which a five-course menu is prepared and presented by the restaurant’s executive chef and paired with a sought-after spirit, wine or brew. During the dinner, a representative for the featured spirit provides insight to each pairing.

The Booze & Bites series takes place the last Wednesday of every month. Tickets start at $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and can be purchased on the Monte Carlo website. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend.

THE PUB AT MONTE CARLO ANNOUNCES REMAINING LINE-UP FOR GUS’ BEER & BITES DINNER SERIES 

The Pub at Monte Carlo invites guests to enjoy pub-style food offerings while tasting sought-after brews at the remaining events in the 2014 Gus’ Beer & Bites dinner series. During each monthly beer pairing dinner, The Pub at Monte Carlo Executive Chef Damis Irizzary and a representative from a featured brewery guide guests through a five-course menu, complete with beer pairings, creating a fun, interactive evening.

Gus’ Beer & Bites dinner events are held one Wednesday per month at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $64.05 per person all-inclusive and may be purchased on Monte Carlo’s website or by calling Monte Carlo Concierge at 702-730-7010 or The Pub at 702-730-7421. Guests must be 21 and older to attend.

The dinner begins with a reception located on the second level of The Pub’s dining room. As guests mingle, carefully paired hors d’oeuvres complementing the evening’s first beer selection are served. Diners are soon escorted to their seats and presented a second craft brew selection as the seated portion of the culinary experience commences. At the beginning of each course, Irizarry provides specific information about each dish and intricate pairing. Guests also are introduced to a brewery representative who shares stories and flavor notes about each craft beer selection. With an emphasis on interaction, guests are invited to write down interesting facts throughout their dining experience and ask questions as The Pub’s staff members and brewery representatives visit each table.

On the night before Christmas, all through the city, hungry families will plan their holiday activities. Luckily, the culinary masters of MGM Resorts International are celebrating the season with festive cuisine at Bellagio,ARIA, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay,Monte Carlo, Mirage,New York-New York, Luxor,Excalibur and Circus Circus Las Vegas. From signature dishes to holiday classics and seasonally inspired cocktails, these offerings are sure to bring cheer to all.
Chef Michael Mina will unite his signature cuisine with exquisite delights at MICHAEL MINA Bellagio by offering the renowned Lobster Pot Pie with seasonal vegetables and brandied-lobster cream followed by a dessert of Pumpkin Tart with whipped Chantilly cream. Jean Georges Steakhouse at ARIA presents Christmas Day guests with mouthwatering Lobster Bisque with pearl onions, smoked paprika and herbs followed by an Apple and Pecan Sticky Bun for dessert. In the spirit of the season, Fiamma Trattoria & Bar at MGM Grand will feature a winter butternut squash soup with velvety crème fraiche and crispy speck, an authentic Italian bacon, as well as Wild Mushroom Ravioli lathered in warm parmesan fondue.

 

For a more casual celebration, The Pub at Monte Carlo will prepare a delicious menu including dishes such as Roasted Chestnut Soup and Warm Gingerbread Cake with vanilla ice cream. Traditionalists will love the classic Yams with butter and brown sugar sauce at MORE The Buffet at Luxor. Nine Fine Irishmen at New York-New York will be serving up a prix fixe menu beginning with a hearty Winter Harvest Salad and closing with Irish Bread and Butter Pudding with whiskey cream. Those looking to spend the holiday at a classic steakhouse will enjoy The Steakhouse at Camelot at Excalibur where hungry guests have the choice between a juicy Oven Roasted Free Range Turkey Platter complete with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, seasoned asparagus, sweet potato casserole and cranberry sauce, Roast Prime Rib of Beef or Grilled Atlantic Salmon. The Steak House at Circus Circus will present a holiday menu including tender Mesquite-broiled Petite Filet Mignon and succulent Australian Lobster Tail, served with chef’s fresh vegetable of the day and guest’s choice of garlic mashed potatoes, baked potato or wild rice blend. A festive Eggnog Crème Brûlèe French Toast with spiced rum and cinnamon butter is the perfect toasty treat available at THEcafe at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay.

 

To top it all off, holiday treats can be found at Roasted Bean at The Mirage where guests can indulge in Chocolate Candy Cane Parfaits or a traditional Yule Log dessert. Taste, temptation and thrilling entertainment will be at the forefront when Fabulous Las Vegas returns to Sin City September 3-8.  Now in its fourth year, this one-of-a-kind LGBT celebration will feature experiences and promotions across several MGM Resorts International destinations, complementing the citywide Las Vegas PRIDE events also taking place that week.

Fabulous kicks off Wednesday, Sept. 4 with PRIDE Family Bingo at Circus Circus Las Vegas. Hosted by Norma Llyaman and Miss Las Vegas PRIDE 2011 Diana Prince, guests will enjoy an evening of food, fun and flair while supporting the Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc. (SNAPI).

After daubing out the competition at bingo, guests can travel down The Strip for two nights of fearless stand-up comedy at The Mirage with a pair of LGBT icons. Stand-up queen Margaret Cho (September 6) and two-time Emmy Award-winner Kathy Griffin (September 7) give guests reason to laugh with rapid fire wit and comedic edge that pushes the limits. Additional entertainment options include Cirque du Soleil’s Zarkana at ARIA, and its most sensual show, Zumanity at New York-New York. Guests booking any of these entertainment options through the Fabulous website will receive access to special seating and pricing.

In addition to this buffet of entertainment offerings, guest can eat fabulously with the exclusive Dine OUT program at participating restaurants up and down the Las Vegas Strip. Through Dine OUT, guests receive 20 percent off their check when presenting their Fabulous hotel key card. The new 24-hour Citizens Kitchen & Bar and Red Square Restaurant and Vodka Lounge at Mandalay Bay are sure to turn on taste buds. As the official closing party for the Las Vegas PRIDE festivities, Temptation Sundays invites guests to spend a warm Sunday afternoon socializing with locals, splashing around in the water, or simply showing off tempting assets. Guests can party until the sun rises again at REVO Sundays at Revolution Lounge at The Mirage, as the grand finale for the Fabulous weekend takes precedence over slumber. The only year-round LGBT party in a nightclub on The Strip, REVO pumps up the bass for locals and tourists for a night of dancing, flirting and celebration.

During Fabulous, guests are invited to participate in additional citywide LGBT celebrations: Las Vegas PRIDE Festival’s Annual PRIDE Night Parade on September 6 and the Annual PRIDE Festival on September 7 at the Clark County Government Center. MGM Resorts International is the proud presenting sponsor of the PRIDE Night Parade, granting Fabulous guests with a branded key card entry to the Fabulous Viewing Area to mix and mingle with other attendees. AN INTERACTIVE BEER PAIRING DINNER SERIES
2013 Program Hosted by The Pub’s Executive Chef Timothy Radigan and Nationally Recognized Brewery Representatives

The Pub at Monte Carlo invites guests to experience  pub-style food offerings while sipping refreshing craft beers at Gus’ Beer and Bites, a fun,  interactive beer pairing dinner series. Named after The Pub’s iconic whale Gus, each dinner will showcase beers from renowned breweries, providing guests with insights into the multifaceted world of craft beer, and will be paired with an extraordinary five-course menu created by The Pub’s Executive Chef Timothy Radigan.

Gus’ Beer and Bites begins Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. and will be held monthly. Tickets are priced at $64.04 per person, all-inclusive, and available for purchase to guests 21 and older at Monte Carlo’s Reservations webpage or by calling (702) 769-6699.

 

“The Pub at Monte Carlo is known for its impressive beer portfolio and we are enthusiastic to grow our list by partnering with breweries across the country,” said Radigan. “Craft beers continue to grow in popularity and by offering our guests an exclusive opportunity to taste a variety of notable beers, along with a compelling menu that complements the flavors of each selection, we will create a memorable experience.”

 

Upon arrival, guests will be escorted to The Pub’s upstairs dining room to enjoy passed appetizers and craft beer samples. Following, attendees will be seated as Radigan and a brewery representative begin the evening’s program. The hosts will guide guests through each intricate pairing, providing specific information on the featured beers and flavor profiles that create the superb combination. Guests will receive a printed dinner menu and a stationary pad for beer tasting notes as a keepsake.

Left Coast Brewing Company, an independent brewer based out of San Clemente, Calif., will start the evening with its highly rated seasonal spring beer Una Mas, perfectly accented by a line-up of satisfying spring eats.

 

New Belgium Brewing Company: Wednesday, June 26
Based out of Fort Collins, Colo., New Belgium Brewing Company will feature several tempting beer selections, including the well-known tasty amber Fat Tire, alongside Radigan’s summer cuisine menu selections.

 

Boston Beer Company: Wednesday, August 28
The flavors of a late-summer menu will flawlessly pair with the Massachusetts brewery, Boston Beer Company, including the full-flavored Samuel Adams Boston Logger.

 

Goose Island: Wednesday, September 25
Known for an innovative selection of craft beers, Goose Island will showcase its flagship Matilda, along with several other offerings that provide a quenching accompaniment to the seasonal menu.

 

Alaskan Brewing Company: Wednesday, October 30
Alaskan Brewing Company, an environmentally sustainable brewery, will start off the evening with its flagship Alaskan Amber beer alongside the bold flavors of fall-themed culinary creations.

 

Lagunitas Brewing Company: Wednesday, November 20
The mouthwatering pub-style offerings will seamlessly highlight Lagunitas’ most sought-after beers including the filtered pale wheat drink, Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale.

 

InBev Belgian: Wednesday, December 11
InBev Belgian, a large brewery based out of Europe, will allow guests to escape the winter chill and indulge in its notable beer, Leffe Blond, accentuated by a warming array of winter-themed cuisine.
