Performers:
For more than four decades, John Fogerty has been an American treasure.  As one of the most revered and influential artists to emerge in the 1960s, he continues to be a vital part of the musical landscape. As lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of Creedence Clearwater Revival and as a Grammy-winning, chart-topping solo artist, Fogerty’s sound has encompassed everything from blues to country to southern swamp rock and roll. He has sold over 100 million records, earning 18 Gold Albums and 10 Platinum Albums.  Known as one of the greatest songwriters, singers and guitarists of all time, Fogerty was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, won the Grammy Award for his album BLUE MOON SWAMP in 1997 and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. Fogerty will release his ninth solo album WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE – a celebration of his iconic songbook recorded in collaboration with some of today’s biggest superstars from the country, pop and rock worlds plus two new songs – on May 28, 2013.

Faith Hill has established herself as one of the music industry’s top vocalists, with a voice that is as powerful as it is recognizable.  Her career has been highlighted by the sale of over 30 million records worldwide, during which time she has celebrated thirteen #1 singles and twenty #1 videos.  Faith has won fifteen Academy Of Country Music awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year in 1998, 1999 and 2000, Single Record of the Year for “This Kiss” in 1998, and the ACM Career Achievement Award in 2006, among many others.

Since releasing their multi-week #1, DOUBLE PLATINUM debut single, “Cruise,” breakout duo Florida Georgia Line (Tyler Hubbard from Monroe, Georgia and Brian Kelley from Ormond Beach, Florida) has been quickly garnering buzz among fans, media and several Superstars across genres, including Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and GRAMMY-winning Hip Hop artist Nelly, with who they have teamed up on a “Cruise” remix. FGL’s GOLD-certified “Get Your Shine On” is Top 10-and-rising at Country radio. Their energetic live show and compelling tunes landed them coveted opening slots on Taylor Swift’s “THE RED TOUR” and Luke Bryan’s “DIRT ROAD DIARIES TOUR” this year. The Republic Nashville duo brings a fresh combination of eclectic beats and expressive lyrics to the genre. Producer Joey Moi showcases their unique sound throughout their GOLD-certified debut album, HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES, which earned the highest debut album sales of 2012 for a new Country artist. They have appeared on LIVE with Kelly & Michael, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, FOX & Friends and secured a presenter spot during the 2012 American Music Awards.

Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum superstar, entrepreneur, actor, and philanthropist NELLY is on top of the world once more. He’s gearing up to release his long-awaited seventh full-length studio album, M.O., later this year. Already, the hit single “Hey Porsche” has laid the groundwork for another smash from the artist.  Upon the song’s debut, it moved over 100,000 digital singles in less than week. “Hey Porsche” also marks NELLY’s 22nd charted Top 40 song, which makes him the 11th most-charted Top 40 hits artist of all-time. Internationally, the song has reached gold status in the UK already, hitting #4 on iTunes and entering heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1. Meanwhile, down under in Australia, it’s been certified platinum. Other chart positions include #8 on iTunes in Ireland, and it’s climbing in Belgium, Germany, and beyond. However, “Hey Porsche” isn’t the only anthem on M.O.  Nelly also teamed up with production powerhouses such as Pharrell (Jay Z, Snoop, Justin Timberlake), Rico Love (Beyonce, Usher), DJ Frank E (Kanye West, Enrique Iglesias, FloRida), Detail (Lil Wayne, T-Pain), Da Internz (Rihanna, Nas), and Bei-Major. Nelly also invited some of his closest friends and today’s hottest artists to collaborate including Trey Songz, T.I., Akon, Pitbull, and Florida Georgia Line. M.O. is shaping up to be one of the hottest hip-hop events of 2013.

The Band Perry returns to the ACM Awards this year with their third Vocal Group of the Year nomination, just two short years after they were honored with the New Artist of the Year award in 2011. The sibling trio’s sophomore album Pioneer will be released on April 2, 2013 and has already spawned the smash, RIAA Certified Platinum single, “Better Dig Two,” which quickly became the # 1 Billboard Hot Country Song, making it the fastest-rising song of the band’s career.  It is their third chart-topping single landing at #1 on the Country Radio Charts for two consecutive weeks.  The Band Perry is currently on Rascal Flatts’ “Changed Tour.”

Tickets for ACM PRESENTS: TIM McGRAW’S SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHT are on sale NOW at Ticketmaster, priced at $105, $155 and $205. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy, and an organization that McGraw was closely affiliated with during his last tour.

About Tim McGraw
For 20 years, McGraw has been providing that kind of powerful connection with his audience. With Two Lanes of Freedom, his new album—and first release for Big Machine Records—the singer is covering his broadest emotional range yet, with a set of songs that looks forward and back, gets deep and gets loose, and reveals that even the biggest stars can continue to grow with consistency and maturity.

In his record-shattering career, McGraw has sold more than 40 million albums, and dominated the charts with 33 No. 1 singles. Since the release of his debut album in 1993, he has won three GRAMMYs, 15 Academy of Country Music Awards, 12 Country Music Association Awards, and 10 American Music Awards, while simultaneously maintaining a parallel career as a successful actor in such films as “The Blind Side,” “Country Strong,” and “Friday Night Lights”—as well as hosting Saturday Night Live, a rare honor for a singer in any genre. McGraw has never been afraid of breaking new ground; over the years, he has collaborated with musicians from Nelly to Tony Bennett to Def Leppard and Ne-Yo.

Eric Church leads with seven ACM award nominations, including Male Vocalist of the Year and his second consecutive nod for Album of the Year and Video of the Year.  He is twice nominated for Song of the Year for “Springsteen,” as both artist and composer.  Church also earned nominations for Single of the Year for “Springsteen” and for Vocal Event of the Year for “The Only Way I Know” with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan.  His third album, “CHIEF,” reached Platinum and received several end-of-the-year “top album” accolades from NPR, Rolling Stone, SPIN, iTunes and the Los Angeles Times.  Church is a three-time GRAMMY nominee including a nod for Best Country Album, and his second and third single releases, “Drink In My Hand” and “Springsteen,” reached #1 on the country radio charts.  Church’s forthcoming live album release, “Caught In the Act: Live,” is currently available for pre-sale and will be released on April 9.

In his record-shattering career, Tim McGraw is a fifteen-time ACM award winner, and has sold more than 40 million albums as well as dominated the charts with 33 #1 singles. Since the release of his debut album in 1993, he has also won three GRAMMYs, twelve Country Music Association Awards, and ten American Music Awards, while simultaneously maintaining a parallel career as a successful actor in such films as “The Blind Side,” “Country Strong,” and “Friday Night Lights”—as well as hosting “Saturday Night Live,” a rare honor for a singer in any genre. McGraw is also spotlighting the hottest music of the summer and calling on his friends to help kick off the 2013 touring season for ACM PRESENTS: TIM McGRAW’s SUPERSTAR SUMMER NIGHT.  The CBS-broadcasted special will feature high-octane performances and musical collaborations from Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and more to be announced, for a two-hour, star-studded concert event benefitting ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music.

Reigning Entertainer of the Year, and seven-time GRAMMY winner, Taylor Swift, received five ACM nominations, including her fourth consecutive nod for Entertainer of the Year.  If Swift wins Entertainer of the Year, this will be her third consecutive win in that category. Swift is nominated for the sixth time for Female Vocalist of the Year and for the fourth time for Video of the Year for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” She also received a double nomination for Album of the Year for Red as artist and producer.  Swift is the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums, and she is the only female artist in music history (and the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album hit the one million first-week sales figure. Swift recently scored her fourth consecutive #1 single from her RED album, and just kicked off her highly-anticipated “The RED Tour,” playing to capacity crowds at 66 stops (including 13 stadiums) through North America until September 21.

Carrie Underwood is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, marking her eighth consecutive nomination for this category – she has won three times.  She is also nominated for Album of the Year for Blown Away.  Having won a total of ten ACM Awards, Underwood is also a two-time Entertainer of the Year winner.  In 2010, she was honored with the ACM Triple Crown, an award presented to an elite group of country music artists who boast wins for New Artist, Male/Female Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year. Underwood is currently on her critically-acclaimed international “Blown Away Tour,” which began at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall and is now making its way through North America.

Lady Antebellum is an ACM award-winning trio comprised of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The band recently received their fifth ACM Award nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, an award they have won for three consecutive years.  The seven-time GRAMMY-winning trio’s current single, “Downtown” is the lead single off of their upcoming fourth Capitol Nashville release Golden, scheduled to come out May 7. The track hit big out of the gate, becoming the trio’s highest-charting debut on the Country radio charts.

Little Big Town leads ACM award group nominations with four nods, including their seventh nomination for Vocal Group of the Year. They are also nominated for Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year for “Pontoon” and Video of the Year for “Tornado.”  The Grammy-winning country group, consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook, first entered the music scene over thirteen years ago, and their fifth studio album, Tornado, debuted at the top of the Billboard Country Chart where it stayed in the #1 position for five consecutive weeks. The album produced by Jay Joyce, includes two-time platinum-selling #1 hit single “Pontoon,” and follow-up single and title-track “Tornado,” which also peaked at the #1 position.   The foursome has played in front of over 4 million people to-date and is currently headlining their Tornado Tour across the US and Canada. They will join Keith Urban on tour later this summer.

Performers:
Dierks Bentley is an ACM Award-winning singer/songwriter who has forged his own brand of country music combining classic country songwriting, influences of bluegrass instrumentation and the energy of rock & roll. Bentley’s sixth studio album Home, released in 2012, debuted at #1 and has spawned three chart-toppings hits, marking 10 career #1 songs as a singer and songwriter. He is currently on the “Locked & Reloaded Tour” with longtime friend Miranda Lambert. On April 6, Bentley will headline the ACM Party for a Cause Festival, a two-day outdoor music festival during “The Week Vegas Goes Country®,” and on April 7, will perform at the ACM Fan Jam.

Keith Urban is a seven-time ACM Award winner, who has sold more than 15 million albums. This spring will bring the release of brand new music, his fourth annual All For The Hall benefit, a highly anticipated tour, which gets underway this July, and continued filming for American Idol.  He has celebrated 14 No. 1’s, including 28 Top 5 hits and has had five consecutive platinum or multi-platinum albums.  In 2010, he was given the Academy’s prestigious Jim Reeves International Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the acceptance of country music worldwide.

Lady Antebellum is an ACM award-winning trio comprised of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The band recently received their fourth ACM Award nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, an award they have won for three consecutive years.  Lady Antebellum’s current single, “Downtown” is the lead single off of their upcoming fourth Capitol Nashville release Golden, scheduled to come out May 7. The track hit big out of the gate, becoming the trio’s highest-charting debut on the Country radio charts.

Pitbull has risen to become a global superstar as both a recording and performing artist. The Miami native recently added to a long and growing list of hits with his first # 1, “Give Me Everything.” At the same time, his world tour sold out concerts in Latin America, Canada and Europe, before bringing the party to the United States, Japan and Australia. Pitbull’s new single “Feel This Moment” featuring Christina Aguilera is a worldwide smash and “Don’t Stop The Party” was another global radio and video hit that are featured on his new album, Global Warming.  It’s the highly anticipated follow-up to Planet Pit, which earned critical acclaim and enjoyed massive commercial success with sales of more than 1.7 million albums and 19 million singles. “Don’t Stop The Party” and “Feel This Moment” come on the heels of Pitbull’s 2 million-selling single, “Back In Time,” the chart-topping anthem from the action-adventure-comedy Men In Black 3.

The Academy of Country Music announced today that chart-topping country music star Darius Rucker will host the ACM Lifting Lives® Celebrity Golf Classic on Saturday, March 31, 2012 as part of The Week Vegas Goes Country® – the week leading up to the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, a star-studded event produced for television by dick clark productions that will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.  The following night Rucker will join an all-star ensemble for ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends – In Concert, the once-in-a-lifetime concert event taping Monday, April 2, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  Rucker will collaborate with the legendary Lionel Richie for a performance of “Stuck On You.”  The special will air Friday, April 13, 2012 on the CBS Television Network.

The Golf Classic—the sixth held since 2004—brings together country music artists, record label executives and other members of the music community in a star-studded scramble tournament to raise funds and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives’ Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund, which provides immediate relief to those in need in the music industry.

Rucker, an avid golfer, has been very involved with ACM Lifting Lives. In 2011, on the 46th Annual Awards telecast, he performed the original song “Music From the Heart” with campers from the ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp, to bring awareness to a national audience about those with developmental disabilities.  Rucker also penned the song “Together, Anything is Possible” to raise money for the PGA’s charitable initiatives.

“After a three year break, I’m delighted the tournament will take place again and that Darius will host,” said Gayle Holcomb, who donated seed money to the Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund in 2006, in honor of her mother. “The industry has been served by the Fund in so many ways we don’t publicize, helping music industry professionals when they need it most, meeting private financial urgent needs.”

“ACM Lifting Lives is honored to have Darius host the 2012 ACM Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Classic,” said Lisa Huddleson, Executive Director for ACM Lifting Lives. “His continued generosity and support of our organization has been instrumental in our growing success and his golf game is sure to challenge his fellow country artists.”

The golf tournament will exclusively cater to golfers at TPC Las Vegas, a par 71, 7,063-yard golf course designed by architect Bobby Weed and player consultant Raymond Floyd. The TPC Las Vegas Golf Course is recognized as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System.  Featuring stunning views of Red Rock Canyon and the famed Las Vegas skyline, the course is located within the nation’s largest master-planned community of Summerlin and is just minutes from the world-famous Las Vegas strip.
