Mark Andelbradt Named Executive Chef of Spago Las Vegas
Spencer Rudow Takes the Helm at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin
Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group announced today that Mark Andelbradt will step into the Executive Chef role at Spago within The Forum Shops at Caesars. Spencer Rudow will take the Executive Chef position at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin, formerly held by Andelbradt.
“When we began looking for someone to fill the executive chef position at Spago Las Vegas, I thought to myself, “Who can fill Eric Klein’s shoes?” but I was glad that I did not have look very far,” said Wolfgang Puck. “Mark’s proven culinary skills and leadership abilities made him the ideal person to take the reins of the Spago kitchen. I am excited to see how he will put his personal touch on the restaurant and how it will continue to evolve. I think our guests will be pleased with what we have in store.”
Andelbradt brings more than 20 years of culinary experience to his new position. A 1995 graduate of Kendall College in Evanston, IL, the Chicago native began his career in far-reaching parts of the world including kitchens at The Regent in Hong Kong and Villa Crespi in Piedmont, Italy. In 1996 he earned his Italian Cuisine Certificate from the Italian Culinary Institute in Turin, Italy.
Andelbradt returned to his home of Chicago to work with chefs Rick Tramonto and Gale Gand, first as chef de cuisine at Brasserie T, then in 1999 was promoted to executive sous chef at Tru. Andelbradt played an instrumental role in the properties’ opening, its rise to receiving four-star reviews and its eventual Relais & Chateaux status. In early 2001, he decided to move to New York, where he landed a coveted sous chef position at Daniel, the four-star kitchen of acclaimed chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud. In 2002, he was honored with the Bertolli Sous Chef Award, which celebrates the nation’s top 10 rising star sous chefs and/or chef de cuisines.
Andelbradt’s growing reputation as a chef and leader within the industry, landed the attention of Stephen Starr, of Starr Restaurants, in 2004, which led to his next positions at Morimoto in both Philadelphia and New York. While he was chef de cuisine in Philadelphia, Andlebradt was also tapped to utilize his organizational and management skills in the opening and development of the New York location. Upon opening, he soon shifted his culinary skills to Morimoto New York as chef de cuisine. It was in this position in 2006, that Andelbradt was named a Rising Star Chef by Star Chefs New York.
After many years on the east coast, Andelbradt was ready to move west. After two years as executive chef at TAO Las Vegas, Andelbradt found his home with Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, in 2014. Andelbradt’s first role within the company was as executive chef of Postrio at the Venetian. Later that year, he ventured to the Las Vegas suburbs and opened Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin. Now, Andelbradt fills the shoes left by Eric Klein, Spago’s last reigning executive chef, and is the third person to hold this position in the restaurant’s 24-year history. (David Robins 1992-2006, Eric Klein 2006-2016)
Filling the executive chef role left by Andelbradt at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Downtown Summerlin is Spencer Rudow. Most recently Rudow served as executive sous chef at Spago, working alongside Eric Klein, a position that he held for the past nine months, refining his skills under one of Las Vegas’ most beloved chefs. Prior to his position at Spago, Rudow worked as a line cook, junior sous chef and sous chef at Cucina by Wolfgang Puck within The Shops at Crystals and at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at MGM Grand. Rudow hails from Baltimore, Maryland and attended West Virginia University before studying at the French Culinary Institute in New York as well as ALMA Cooking School in Parma, Italy.

Last night, (Monday, Dec. 30) PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace kicked off the New Year’s festivities with a live performance by R&B phenomenon The Weeknd. The award-winning hot spot opened its doors for a very special affair to welcome the return of the talented recording artist.
Arriving around 1 a.m. the sultry Canadian sensation, also known as Abel Tesfaye, made his way to his VIP booth on the main stage while he took in the sights of the packed room. Moments later, the highly acclaimed lyricist took center stage as he introduced himself and took over the mic, leaving his fans in awe. “I go by the name of The Weeknd,” he stated, “I came all the way from Toronto to party with you all tonight.” The nightclub roared with excitement as he mentioned to the crowd that he was celebrating one of this friend’s birthdays and gave a special shout out to his personal DJ XO.
He kicked off the night with his hit “I’m Good,” where following the song informed the crowd that it was his first time performing the track in Las Vegas. The Weeknd had his fans on their feet as he led into “Live For,” and “Crew Love,” both songs whom he worked with fellow Canadian and GRAMMY Award-winning rapper Drake to produce. To close out his memorable performance, the R&B singer told the crowd that he’d be back soon to Sin City and fittingly his fans would enjoy his last song of the night “Remember You.”
The Weeknd thanked his admirers for coming out as he took the time to mingle with a few lucky ladies before heading back to his table. Also in attendance, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White, was seen in high spirits sipping cocktails with friends and taking in the performance from his VIP table.
Following his performance at PURE Nightclub, The Weeknd made his way to Ling Ling Club located inside Hakkasan Las Vegas at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino where hundreds of party patrons waited in anticipation to catch a glimpse of the music icon. As celebrated DJ Irie manned the decks, he announced the arrival of the artist and the entire nightclub was on their feet eagerly watching for the artist to make his introduction. Appearing in the DJ booth, The Weeknd hopped on the mic to address his fans and began to put on his second special performance of the evening. Afterwards he thanked his fans for their support and made his way back to his VIP booth to mingle with fans and party the night away in true Las Vegas fashion.

PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino was a sight to see as GRAMMY Award-winning artist Pharrell Williams took over the mega-club for a special Memorial Day Weekend performance Saturday, May 25. Arriving to the award-winning hot spot around 12:30 a.m., the former Neptunes member hit the red carpet where he posed for photographers and waved to on-looking partygoers as they flocked to catch a glimpse of the star.
Making his way through the packed nightclub, thousands of clubgoers screamed as he passed by and shook the hands of many. The energy of the main room erupted as Williams appeared at his VIP booth located on the main stage. As the superstar stepped up to greet the crowd, the sea of devoted fans rushed the stage. Preparing for his performance the humble singer relaxed at his table along with a few of his closest friends.
Just after 1 a.m., the lights of the club went dim and the energy of the iconic destination soared with excitement as Williams took his place center stage. “Welcome to PURE,” he stated and continue to talk about his latest project “Happy,” the theme song he wrote for the upcoming motion picture “Despicable Me 2,” and gave his fans a little sneak peak. The hip-hop sensation put on an unforgettable performance as he sang hit after hit including “Frontin’,” “I Just Wanna Love You,” “Excuse Me Miss,” “Blurred Lines” and many more. Throughout the performance he encouraged his fans to sing along as he held his mic out to the audience. Nearing the end of his mini-concert, Williams addressed the crowd and said, “I want to come out there and dance with you!” As he set down his mic and headed towards the stairs, the energy of the room reached an all-time high. As his latest hit “Get Lucky” played, the icon emerged in the middle of the masses, made his way through the dance floor, around the entire nightclub and back to his VIP table while he danced and posed for pictures with his devoted fans.
