About Michael Grimm
With his soulful voice, Mississippi-bred Michael Grimm charmed millions of viewers as a contestant on season five of “America’s Got Talent,” parlaying his substantial singer-songwriter appeal into a first-place finish and million-dollar prize. Grimm began performing at the age of 12 and moved to Las Vegas at 21 to perform as lead guitarist in the “Legends in Concert” show. Following his win on “America’s Got Talent,” Grimm worked with Grammy-award winning producer Don Was on his eponymous debut album, which was released in 2011 to critical acclaim. Since then, Michael has toured with Stevie Nicks, taken the role of resident headliner in Las Vegas, hit the road for a 16-city National Tour “Grimm’s Fairytale Tour,” and this December is not only entering the China market with his first concert, but departing on a 10-city Christmas Tour called Oh So Acoustic Christmas. Local Flamingo headliner George Wallace hosted the event and introduced each of the honorary ambassadors, a child or adult who has directly benefited from services at Easter Seals Nevada. Jabbawockeez served as the grand marshals and helped kick off the walk by leading participants through the balloon arch to the walking path and live music was provided by School of Rock.  After the walk, attendees took photographs with the Easter Bunny, participated in Easter egg hunts and enjoyed a carnival with face painting, treats and games.

Comedian George Wallace Brings Laughs and Maibock to Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas

Maibock returns on Friday, April 26

It’s that time of year, when flowers bloom and Maibock barrels get tapped. Headliner George Wallace taps the ceremonial keg of Munich’s oldest beer, Maibock brew, on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas. Pleasing the palate of beer drinkers since 1614, the brew holds an alcohol content of approximately 7.2 percent by volume.

Born in Atlanta, Wallace knew he wanted to be a comedian at the young age of 6. After graduating college, Wallace pursued stand up and within a week he was offered a writing job at “The Red Foxx Show.” He quickly gained popularity and in 1995 won an American Comedy Award for Best Stand-Up Comedian. Wallace has been on numerous TV shows and films including “Seinfeld,” “The Tonight Show,” “Batman Forever” and “Ladykillers.” The innovating comedian has been headlining at The Flamingo for more than eight years.

By tradition, the first barrel of Maibock is tapped at the Hofbräuhaus in the last week of April. Creamy and aromatic in flavor, Hofbräu Maibock sets the standard for all other bock beers and boasts the longest pedigree of all Munich’s bocks. Along with the keg tapping, the night will be filled with Jägermeister spankings and traditional stein-holding contests where competitors have their chance to prove they have what it takes to hold out the one-liter filled stein the longest.

ABOUT HOFBRÄUHAUS LAS VEGAS:

The Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is the first German/Bavarian beer hall and restaurant in Las Vegas. This faithful reproduction of the world’s most famous beer hall, the original, centuries-old Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany, is an authentic and entertaining blend of tradition and fun.

From its hand-painted ceilings and live bands to its imported beer and delicious food, Bavarian hospitality abounds. Guests can savor schnitzels, sausages, sauerbraten, pretzels and much more, all accompanied by great music and the finest Hofbräu beer. At the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, it’s Oktoberfest every day!

Funds to be donated to celebrity’s charity of choice for a tasty win

Hash House A Go Go teamed up with Rick Harrison from HISTORY Channel’s “Pawn Stars,” N’Sync member and current host of The Price Is Right Live! at Bally’s Joey Fatone and Flamingo headliner and comedian George Wallace during National Pancake Week to design their own pancakes.

The special pancakes were available on the Hash House A Go Go menu from Feb. 19 – 25 and the pancake that sold the most at the end of the week was named the winner. One dollar from each of the three celebrity pancakes purchased was donated to the celebrity winner’s charity of choice.

Well- known “Pawn Star” Rick Harrison took home the win with the most pancakes sold for his deliciously creative combination of chocolate and peanut butter pancake. A donation of $600 has been made by Hash House A Go Go to Harrison’s charity Child Focus, which provides comprehensive services to children and their families, such as early learning and foster care assistance.
