Tony Bennett’s life and philosophy is the embodiment of the Great American Story. Having celebrated his 92nd birthday on August 3, 2018, his career as the pre-eminent singer of the 20th and 21st centuries is unprecedented. He continues to be embraced and loved by audiences of all generations.

Through his dedication to excellence and his insistence on quality, he has become the keeper of the flame by extolling the virtues and values represented by the Great American Songbook. Tony Bennett has been on the front lines of every major issue impacting the cornerstones of this country’s modern history. He has performed for eleven U.S. Presidents, is a World War II veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge and participated in the liberation of a concentration camp, and marched side by side with Dr. Martin Luther King in Selma to support civil rights. Throughout his life, Tony Bennett has been a dedicated pacifist and proactive humanitarian selflessly supporting many causes whose goals benefit the lives of millions. His love for his country has earned him the distinction of national treasure and United Nations has named him a Citizen of the World as one of their foremost ambassadors. In 1999, Tony Bennett, with his wife Susan Benedetto, a former public school teacher, founded Exploring the Arts (ETA) to strengthen the role of the arts in public high school education. ETA’s first endeavor was the establishment of Frank Sinatra School of the Arts (FSSA), a public high school founded in 2001 by Tony and Susan in partnership with the NYC Department of Education. ETA continued beyond its commitment to FSSA to expand their support and by the end of 2019, ETA will partner with 44 public high schools — in all five boroughs of New York City and in Los Angeles.

Through his artistry, Tony Bennett has connected in unprecedented fashion with all generations of audiences. His commitment to humanitarian ideals has bridged our differences by highlighting what we have in common as citizens of the planet. He has fought for the hard issues when others have turned a blind eye and has remained true to the authenticity and creativity of his musical vision. Tony has achieved the Great American Dream but has never forgotten his own roots and is constantly working toward ensuring that others can achieve their dreams as well. His life story is compelling in the lessons and values that it teaches: dedication, commitment, courage, and compassion. Tony Bennett has received 19 Grammy Awards including the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award, 2 Emmy Awards and is a Kennedy Center Honoree and NEA Jazz Master.  In 2017, he became the first interpretive singer to be honored by the Library of Congress receiving The Gershwin Prize. Tony Bennett is one of a handful of artists to have new albums charting in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and now in the first two decades of the 21st century. He has introduced a multitude of songs into the Great American Songbook that have since become standards for pop music.

In the new millennium, Bennett’s artistry and popularity was higher than ever and he has sold over 10 million albums in the last 10 years alone.  In 2006, the year of his 80th birthday, his Duets: An American Classicwas released. In celebration of his 85th birthday in 2011 the release of Bennett’s, Duets IIdebuted at #1 on the Billboard Album charts, making Tony the only artist at the age of 85 to achieve this in the history of recorded music.  Tony’s collaborative jazz album with Lady Gaga, released in 2014, Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga: Cheek To Cheek, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts making Bennett, at the age of 88, the oldest artists to have a #1 album…breaking his own previously established historical record. His latest album, with Diana Krall, titled Love Is Here To Stay, celebrates the music of George and Ira Gershwin.

A visual artist all his life, Tony has exhibited his artwork in museums and galleries around the world and three of his paintings are part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute.  He has authored six books, including his most recent, “Tony Bennett: On Stage and In The Studio.”

GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING SUPERSTAR LADY GAGA ANNOUNCES TWO-YEAR SPECIAL ENGAGEMENT AT PARK THEATER IN LAS VEGAS BEGINNING DECEMBER 2018

Six-time GRAMMY Award-winner, Golden Globe Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee superstar entertainer Lady Gaga will bring her one-of-a-kind talent and creativity to the stage at Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas beginning in December 2018.  On the heels of a year that included a stunning Super Bowl performance and a wildly celebrated sold-out tour, Lady Gaga’s energy and raw talent will forever change the Las Vegas entertainment landscape. With a show designed specifically for this intimate venue, Lady Gaga will launch a two-year, multi-date love affair with Las Vegas.

Lady Gaga said, “It’s the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli. It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas. I am humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before. I’ll tell you exactly what I told my MGM and Park Theater partners – you can count on this performer always for one thing…I’ll leave my heart on the stage every single night. Thank you to my fans for always believing in me. Meet me in Las Vegas baby, we did it!”

Bill Hornbuckle, President of MGM Resorts International said, “Our announcement today of Lady Gaga joining an amazing lineup of talent at Park Theater is monumental for Lady Gaga fans, MGM Resorts and the Park MGM brand. We have all been wowed by Lady Gaga’s raw talent, but the passion, commitment and creativity she is prepared to bring to this engagement will truly be transformational…Las Vegas, get ready to become the Entertainment Capital of the Universe.”

Lady Gaga has amassed an extraordinary 30 million global album sales and 150 million single sales, making her one of the best-selling musicians of all-time. Lady Gaga has also seen incredible touring success with Live Nation producing and promoting all of her tours since The Monster Ball tour (2009-2011), which was the highest-grossing tour for a debut artist in history. The son of a grocer and Italian-born immigrant, Anthony Dominick Benedetto, aka Tony Bennett, was born on Aug. 3, 1926, in the Astoria section of Queens, New York. With worldwide record sales in the millions, Bennett has received 17 Grammy Awards including the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. The MTV generation took to Bennett during his appearance with the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the 1993 MTV
Video Awards. He appeared on MTV Unplugged and the recording of the same name earned him the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. “Tony Bennett has not just bridged the generation gap,” observed The New York Times, “he has demolished it. He has connected with a younger crowd weaned on rock. And there have been no compromises.”

Bennett’s initial fame came via a string of Columbia singles in the early 1950s, including such chart-toppers as “Because of You,” “Rags To Riches” and a cover of Hank Williams’ “Cold, Cold Heart.” He has placed two-dozen songs in the Top 40, including “I Wanna Be Around,” “The Good Life,” “Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me)” and his signature hit, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.” One of only a few artists to have albums chart in the 1950s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and the new millennium, he’s
introduced multitudes of songs into the Great American Songbook that have become pop music standards. Upon the release of his boxed set collection, TONY BENNETT: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION, The New York Times commented, “we aren’t likely to see a recording career like this again.” Bennett made music history when he became the oldest artist at the age of 86 to achieve a #1 record on the Billboard charts with his DUETS II CD. Bennett is a Kennedy Center Honoree and an NEA Jazz Master.

A multiple Emmy winner, his prime-time special, TONY BENNETT: AN AMERICAN CLASSIC, which was directed by Oscar winner Rob Marshall (“Chicago,” “Memoirs of a Geisha”), won seven Emmy Awards in 2007. Bennett has authored four books: his official biography, two books devoted to his artwork and the latest New York Times
Bestseller, Life Is a Gift. He is a dedicated painter whose interest in art began as a child. He continues to paint daily, even while touring. He has exhibited work around theworld, and three of his original paintings are part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.

Throughout his career, Bennett has always put his heart and time into humanitarian concerns. He’s raised millions for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. His original paintings each year grace the cover of the American Cancer Society’s holiday greeting card. He received Martin Luther King Center’s “Salute to Greatness Award” for his efforts to fight discrimination, having marched with Dr. Martin Luther King in 1965. The United Nations presented him with their 2007 Humanitarian Award. In honor of his great friend and staunchest supporter, Bennett established the Frank Sinatra School for the Arts, which opened as a New York City public high school, offering an extensive arts curriculum, in September of 2001. In 2009, a permanent site for the school opened in Bennett’s hometown of Astoria, Queens. With his wife Susan, they founded Exploring the Arts, which supports the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts and provides support to arts education in public schools. Synth-pop duo Erasure to perform at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort on Friday, September 30, 2011, at 9 p.m. This is the first tour in more than five years for Erasure.

Formed in 1985 by Vince Clarke, formerly of Depeche Mode fame, and vocalist Andy Bell, Erasure is one of the most successful and long running acts in British pop. The band released their first album, Wonderland, in 1986 and the record’s follow up, Sometimes, shortly after, which launched a string of successful singles.

Erasure hit fame in the U.S. in 1988 with the single “Chains of Love” from the album The Innocents and began to grow their dedicated fan base outside of their native Britain. The single, “A Little Respect,” was also a hit with American fans and reached #14 on the charts. More studio releases followed as the band’s cult following continued to grow. In 1992, Erasure released Pop! The First 20 Hits, a compilation of the band’s top singles. In 1994, I Say I Say I Say was released marking the group’s fifth studio album. I Say I Say I Say featured the single “Always,” which was the first hit for Erasure in the U.S. since their breakout in 1988. They followed up with a self-titled release in 1995 and the album Cowboy in 1997.

Additional releases including, live albums, cover albums and others followed, and in 2009 they released Total Pop! The First 40 Hits, which contained not just their hits, but a remix of hit single “Always” by producer Jeremy Wheatley. This fall, Erasure will release their newest studio album, Tomorrow’s World.

Grammy award-winning rock band Maroon 5 will return to the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 9 p.m.

Maroon 5 received much success with their first studio release Songs About Jane (2002) and immediately climbed up the charts with singles “This Love” and “Harder to Breathe.” In 2004, the band released a set of acoustic versions of their most popular songs titled 1.22.03.Acoustic which also included a Beatles cover “If I Fell in Love with You.”

Their sophomore studio release, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long (2007), included single “Makes Me Wonder,” which was recorded at The Studio at the Palms and reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the group a Grammy award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.

With the release of their current album, Hands All Over (2010), Maroon 5 has cemented their status as pop rock heavyweights. The album amplifies the blue-eyed soul that’s always been the band’s keystone, awarding every song with “an immaculate tight groove.”

The band worked closely with superstar producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, who has been behind the scenes of some of the greatest rock and heavy metal albums in history, such as AC/DC, Nickelback, Foreigner, Def Leppard and Bryan Adams, just to name a few. Currently, singer Adam Levine is enjoying time on the small screen as well as a judge on the hit television show “The Voice.”
