Sugar Factory is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new luxurious Sugar Factory Chocolate Lounge, located on the second floor of the Plaza at Fashion Show. On Friday, March 17, the launch of the Chocolate Lounge at Sugar Factory will be hosted by Las Vegas’ own Power 88 Eric B and friends to celebrate Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav birthday. The night will kick off the opening of the Chocolate Lounge which will be open to the public every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Upon arrival, guests will delve into a chocolate covered fantasy in a space embellished with rich gold and caramel tones, luxurious cocoa-colored furniture, divine treats, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook stunning sights of the Strip. This sinful new addition to the “sweet” location is perfect for chocolate lovers of all ages, but especially for adults looking for a more intimate dining experience. In addition to an indulgent selection of dishes, all cocktails and beverages are served in original delectable chocolate dipped glassware.

  • Chocolate Mudslide Martini- mixed with vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s Irish cream, garnished with chocolate shavings, chocolate drizzle, and a milk chocolate rim

Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Adds Las Vegas to their
Super Saturday Luxury Shopping Events

 

Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) will bring their popular Super Saturday shopping event to The Venetian, The Palazzo and Grand Canal Shoppes Las Vegas. Grand Canal Shoppes Las Vegas. The annual event, which New York Newsday called the ‘hottest summer event in the Hamptons,’ will launch in Vegas Sept. 18- 20, 2015.

 

The exclusive Las Vegas weekend will boast an assortment of special retail incentives and  activities from a variety of the 160-plus luxury brands and dining establishments. The three-day extravaganza will showcase signature shopping experiences and packages including one-on-one styling appointments guided by A-list celebrities, an insider’s guide to fall fashion showcasing the best of the best in the industry, VIP cocktail receptions, lipstick readings, star-studded culinary delights, and much more.

Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is the oldest and largest charity in the United States funding ovarian cancer research. Our mission is to fund scientific research that leads to more effective identification, treatment, and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer, as well as related educational and support initiatives. Each year there will be approximately 22,000 new cases of ovarian cancer in the United States, and nearly 15,500 women will die of the disease. Currently there is no effective means of early detection.

Redken Creative Consultant Guido created a playful look for Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2014 show, which lent itself to the eccentric designs this season. Unlike a classic chignon or the austere low ponytail from last season, the hair at Valentino was fun and added lightness to the collection as a whole.

“The collection this season felt more eclectic, so I wanted the hair at Valentino to be more whimsical and playful. I created a simple part and added a little bit of height at the crown to give the hair a late 60s kind of feel. Regardless of these youthful subtitles, the vibe remained true to the brand’s identity. Lunar New Year Heralds the Year of the Horse

The Forum Shops celebrates Lunar New Year and welcomes the Year of the Horse with a number of special events, products and activities. To kick things off, students from The Meadows School will perform the traditional dragon parade throughout The Forum Shops at Caesars on Friday, Jan. 31 beginning at 10 a.m. The cast of singers and dancers includes 120 Meadows students – 60 from kindergarten and 60 from fifth grade plus the school’s very special guest, founder and Mayor of Las Vegas Carolyn Goodman. Exclusive Collections celebrates The Year of the Horse with Chinese artist Jia Lu who will exhibit her works at the gallery inside The Forum Shops. Globally recognized as the premiere address for luxury retail, 2013 was an exciting year at The Forum Shops at Caesars. In addition to welcoming 14 new tenants and celebrating the remodel and expansion of four others, The Forum Shops also revealed an updated take on its popular animatronic attraction The Atlantis Show and presented its first-ever Festival of Fashion.

The Shops at Crystals, the only retail destination in the world dedicated exclusively to high-end luxury brands, soon will welcome Richard Mille’s second United States location, a Valentino store featuring the largest collection of products in Las Vegas, an opulent Loro Piana boutique that will feature their coveted new “gifts” line and RIMOWA’s new Vegas flagship boutique. Crystals also will expand its Tourbillon location to become the largest in Swatch Group Ltd’s portfolio. The new shops will begin to open in summer 2013, increasing Crystals’ already impressive roster of world-renowned designers.

Since opening in December 2009, Crystals has brought a new level of luxury to travelers who seek the most coveted names in style under one roof and continues to attract fashion-savvy visitors from around the world. THE GAUNTLET HAS BEEN THROWN: THE VENETIAN® AND THE PALAZZO® LAS VEGAS LOOK TO CROWN A CULINARY VICTOR 

It’s On!  New ‘Culinary Clash’ master chef competition pits the best Las Vegas Chefs in an interactive experience, unfolding over four weeks

 

The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas have announced CULINARY CLASH, a new competition for the resort’s famed team of chefs.  This four-week competition will result in the rise of a new legend on The Las Vegas Strip – The VENETIAN VICTOR, winner of the first CULINARY CLASH master chef competition.

The late-evening competition hosted by local lifestyle celebrities Claudine Grant and Robin Leach, unfolds from 10pm until 2am on Nov. 29, Dec. 7, 14 and 21.  It is open to all sous chefs and chefs de cuisine at the 30+ restaurants located inside The Venetian and The Palazzo, including Sushi Samba, Table 10, First Food, TAO, Aquaknox, Zine, Lagasse Stadium, Carnevino, Public House, Valentino, Delmonico, B&B, Rattlecan,  LAVO, Otto Enoteca, and Bouchon.

Chefs will be challenged to create recipes using ingredients provided in a “mystery basket,” to be prepared in mobile “food truck” kitchens, located on the Las Vegas Strip at The Venetian’s Doge’s Palace plaza.  The head-to-head clash will be broadcasted live on a giant screen on The Venetian Clock Tower for all audience members to appreciate.  Each chef’s creation will then be available for sampling.

Culinary Clash will give guests the occasion to experience Italian-inspired food and drinks while joining in a festive holiday outdoor party.  Each cooking battle will be highlighted with street entertainment, DJ music and an after party provided by TAO.

Expect plenty of surprises, including guest appearances by The Venetian and The Palazzo’s celebrity chefs, who will head the prestigious judging panel:

  • Round 1 – Nov. 29 – Chef Emeril Lagasse
  • Round 2 – Dec. 7 – Chef Mario Batali
  • Round 3 –  Dec. 14  (Semifinals ) Chef Sammy DeMarco
  • Round 4 – Dec. 21 (Finals)  Surprise Chef TBA

At the conclusion of the Culinary Clash, the surprise chef and prestigious judging panel will crown a victor chef.  This Venetian Victor and a guest will receive a trip to Italy, the inspiration behind The Venetian.

“This event is going to be a lot of fun,” said Sebastian Silvestri, vice president of food and beverage at The Venetian and The Palazzo. “And what better place to host such a competition than Las Vegas, which has become one of the greatest food cities in the world.”

In fact, Much of The Venetian’s  fame comes from its reputation as a culinary capital of the Las Vegas Strip. Hosting nine James Beard Award-winning chefs and their restaurants, more than any other property in Las Vegas, millions of guests have found culinary inspiration at The Venetian and The Palazzo.

The event is part of Winter in Venice™, the second-annual celebration of the winter holiday season on the Las Vegas Strip, dubbed “A Gift of The Venetian.”  With 50 days of seasonal experiences throughout both resorts, Winter in Venice is the ultimate destination for Christmas in Las Vegas, running Nov. 18, 2012 through Jan. 6, 2013.

In 2012, Winter in Venice will feature a new marquee element, an exclusive six-week run of “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas in Las Vegas, by Chip Davis,” featuring beloved and iconic holiday music in The Palazzo Theatre.    In addition, a schedule of memorable Italian-inspired experiences will include a nightly enchanting winter parade, whimsical tree-lighting ceremonies, a stunning new 3D light projection shows, an elaborate Winter in Venice fantasy scene in The Palazzo Waterfall Gardens, and – a fan favorite – the return of the picturesque skating rink above The Venetian’s romantic outdoor Grand Canal.

In its first year, Winter in Venice captured the attention – and the hearts – of visitors around the world, including Travel + Leisure magazine.  In fact, the prestigious publication touted the Winter In Venice skating rink in its feature on the “world’s coolest skating rinks.”  The article, which shared a short list of the magazine’s favorite venues, said:  “Some of the coolest [rinks] can be found where you’d least expect them—say, in the desert. The Venetian [in Las Vegas] debuted a rink in 2011, complete with a holiday-theme light show. It now touts a package deal that combines a skating session with an outdoor gondola ride—only in Vegas, indeed”.

On Thursday, May 24, many of the best restaurants of Las Vegas will unite again poolside at The Palazzo Las Vegas® for the Las Vegas Epicurean Affair. The event, sponsored by the Nevada Restaurant Association (NvRA), gives guests a taste of the gourmet offerings that have elevated the city to an international dining destination.

Hosted by The Palazzo, the Las Vegas Epicurean Affair promises a tantalizing evening of culinary splendor. Guests will savor samplings of cuisine and cocktails from prestigious restaurants and beverage purveyors in a luxurious poolside setting at The Palazzo for a palate pleasing event that is undoubtedly Las Vegas.
