Guests will be transported to an Asian Night Market as East (Batali, Boulud, Keller,
Valastro,) meets West (Quek, Wakuda) at The Venetian Las Vegas

In a unique cross-cultural culinary exchange, a team of acclaimed chefs from Japan, China, Singapore and Australia are teaming up with American culinary luminaries Mario Batali, Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, and Buddy Valastro to create THE NIGHT MARKET: EAST MEETS WEST, an authentic Asian-inspired outdoor food and beverage festival.

The amazing night of food, fun and entertainment, part of Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit, will be held May 8 from 8-11 p.m. in the Doge’s Palace plaza of The Venetian Las Vegas.

The event will feature two of Singapore’s most internationally known culinary superstars, Justin Quek of Sky On 57 and Tewtsuya Wakuda of Waku Ghin, both of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore; and Luke Mangan, one of Australia’s leading chefs and restaurateurs.

The three-hour event will feature an exquisite menu with spectacular dishes, including dim sum, Peking duck, sea urchin, and wok-fried Maine lobster. Guests will also experience Asian-inspired mixology, including world-class sake, Asian beer and wine.

“This is going to be the finest event of the year and the biggest international celebration for Vegas Uncork’d,” said Sebastien Silvestri, Vice President of Food & Beverage for The Venetian Las Vegas.

In addition to the delicious drinks and delights, guests will be entertained at The Night Market.  The stars of PANDA!, the first resident production from China on the Las Vegas Strip, will perform a taste of their show from The Palazzo Theatre. This extraordinary cast is made up from members of the China National Acrobatic Troupe, the China Star Dance Troupe and the Shaolin Monastery Kung Fu Monks Troupe and produced by An Zhao, who is best known in America for the 2008 opening and closing ceremonies of the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The evening will also feature Chefs Mario Batali and Buddy Valastro as the headlining mentors to two students from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in the Chase Sapphire Preferred Grill Challenge as they vie for $20,000 in scholarship funds during The Night Market.
