CARROT TOP BRINGS THE PARTY TO THE HANGOVER BAR INSIDE MADAME TUSSAUDS LAS VEGAS WITH BOOZY SHOT

Carrot Top at Hangover Bar in Madame Tussaud’s on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in Las Vegas.

On Thursday evening, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas continued its celebrity shot program honoring Vegas’ funniest comedian Carrot Top with his own signature shot inside The Hangover Bar.

Aptly titled, Peachy Orange Top, this fruity shot is just what the doctor ordered to cure a case of the funny bones. Made with Crown Royal, peach schnapps and orange juice, this refreshing shooter is perfect for all party-goers to enjoy while visiting the world-famous attraction and their new bar concept, complete with Alan, Phil and Mike Tyson to really get the party started.

Carrot Top took a break from his hit Las Vegas residency to visit The Hangover Bar inside Madame Tussauds where he posed on top of the bar with his signature shot, stepped behind the counter to give bartending a try, and properly honored his shot before heading back to give all the laughs to sold out audiences.

The Hangover Bar is the latest addition to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas and The Hangover Experience, which currently features the notorious hotel suite and wedding chapel, as well as figures of Alan (portrayed by Zach Galifianakis), Phil (portrayed by Bradley Cooper), and Mike Tyson. Set among industrial design elements that invoke the roof of Caesars Palace, where the scene takes place, The Hangover Bar features specialty drinks inspired by the iconic film including the Wolf Pack, Buttery Nipple, Royal Flush, and the 3 Leg Monkey, among others.

Madame Tussauds began its Celebrity Shot Program, an ongoing curated menu to celebrate local Las Vegas celebrities, in July 2018 with the boys of Thunder from Down Under and the Thunder Spank shot.

Piff the Magic Dragon Unveils His Shrunken Head at
The Golden Tiki

The loser of “America’s Got Talent,” Piff the Magic Dragon, unveiled his shrunken head last night at The Golden Tiki. His sidekick, Mr. Piffles, got in on the action too with a miniature stuffed version.

Piff enjoyed a Dole Whip while checking out the bar’s one-of-a-kind decor and Cabinet of Curiosities, stopping for a closer look at a mummified alligator, perhaps one of Piff’s ancestors.

The Baron of the Universe welcomed Piff, Mr. Piffles, and showgirl Jade Simone before Managing Partner Branden Powers unveiled the head. Smithsonian artist Terry Barr sculpted the head over the course of four weeks, referencing photos of Piff to ensure physical accuracies, including his dragon scales.

“Thank you for honoring us with a tiny, shrunken head, AKA a lifesize head,” said Piff.

The stars took a “shellfie” in the clamshell, before posing with fans, who showed up in Piff T-shirts.

Chippendales dancer James Davis was also in attendance.

Overhead in the crowd, “This is as Vegas as it gets.”

Piff joins the bar’s growing collection of famous shrunken heads, including Marky Ramone of The Ramones, Carrot Top, Frank Marino, Robin Leach, Norm Clarke, Claire Sinclair, magician Murray Sawchuck, Vinnie Paul of Pantera, Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie, Monti Rock III, Lonnie Hammargren, and Rich Little.

The “Man of a Thousand Voices” Rich Little Unveils His Shrunken Head at The Golden Tiki

The “man of a thousand voices,” celebrity impersonator Rich Little, unveiled his shrunken head at The Golden Tiki last night. Upon arrival, Little and his group sat down to enjoy some food and a scorpion bowl, while Krystal the Magician dazzled them with tricks.

Tony Felicetta of The Sharps welcomed guests and fans with an overview of Little’s extensive and impressive career, noting his start on “The Judy Garland Show” in 1964, his appearances on the notorious Dean Martin celebrity roasts, hosting “The Tonight Show” 12 times, and his current act at the Laugh Factory.

Little then took the stage, cracking jokes and delighting the crowd with a George Burns impression. He said, “My mom said to me ‘if you don’t give up doing these stupid impressions, you’ll never get ahead in this business.’ I didn’t give up and I did get a head – a shrunken head! I’m glad that’s the only thing they shrunk!”

Managing Partner Branden Powers unveiled the head, which was sculpted by Smithsonian artist Terry Barr over the course of four weeks, referencing photos of Little to ensure physical accuracies. Glasses were added as an homage to his famous Jack Benny impression.

Little took photos with fans and magician Murray Sawchuck, who has his own shrunken head on display at the iconic Tiki revival bar.

Luxor Announces Five-Year Extension for Iconic Comedian Carrot Top’s Successful Las Vegas Residency

After an unprecedented 10-year run, Luxor Hotel and Casino has announced a five-year contract renewal with world-renowned comedian Scott “Carrot Top” Thompson who will continue his hit Las Vegas show through 2020. With three decades of comedic performance in his rear view mirror, Carrot Top is one of the most popular, recognizable and successful comedians in America and now with the extension of his headlining residency, he has cemented his role as a Las Vegas icon as well.

“Carrot Top has been wowing crowds at Luxor since 2005 and we’re excited to ‘prop’erly extend his residency for the next five years,” said Luxor General Manager Nik Rytterstrom, “By keeping his material current, he remains a must-see for locals and visitors to The Strip.”

Carrot Top’s successful and storied career has allowed him to develop a completely unique genre of comedy that is self-explained as a combination of George Carlin (for his “observational humor”), Steven Wright (for his “dark, sick humor”), and Gallagher (for his use of props). Utilizing that one-of-a-kind style, the resident show is ever-evolving and has become a Las Vegas staple, reflecting current headlines, consistently poking fun at pop culture, politics and music.

“Being able to call Las Vegas home for the past 10 years has been an incredible experience that has allowed me to explore and expand my comedy as well as put down roots in this great city,” said Carrot Top, “I consider myself very fortunate to have had this opportunity and look forward to many more years of making people laugh here at Luxor.”

Carrot Top performs six nights a week inside the Atrium Showroom. For tickets or more information please visit Carrottop.com

Carrot Top Along with Fellow Celebrities, Students, Parents, and Educators Join Together Against Bullying (TAG) with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center

image001

Carrot Top Along with Fellow Celebrities, Students, Parents, and Educators Join Together Against Bullying (TAG) with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center

Inspired by his own real-life experiences, the iconic comedian is set to help kick off this important campaign starting in October

Bullying can have devastating effects on the lives of those who experience it. That’s why PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center has created Together Against Bullying (TAG), inspired by comedian Carrot Top.

TAG is a campaign to help prevent bullying and support the more than 13 million American students who are bullied each year. After making a donation at togetheragainst.org, a person will receive real or virtual stickers which they can use to TAG their friends and share on social media using the hashtags #TogetherAgainst and #TagItForward. The funds raised through the campaign will be used to create bullying prevention programs, materials, and resources for students, parents, and educators.

“Your support of this campaign will make a significant difference in the lives of the many students who are bullied each day,” said Julie Hertzog, executive director of PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. “By donating and tagging your friends, you’re showing students who are bullied that they are not alone and that someone cares about them.”

Carrot Top will help kick off the Together Against Bullying campaign by tagging his celebrity friends and posting videos on social media encouraging others to get involved, donate, and join the cause.

“I have made a career out of being different, but it hasn’t always been easy. I have had to deal with bullying throughout my entire life,” said Carrot Top. “This is an incredibly personal cause and something that affects almost every one of us. I want to encourage everyone to get involved, make a donation, spread awareness, and help ban together against bullying.”

In regards to how this partnership came about Carrot Top explained, “I decided to approach PACER because they are at the forefront of this cause. They are an amazing organization that has done so much already in the bullying prevention movement. We decided to create this campaign together in order to call even more attention to the challenge that so many have experienced. If we can draw even more attention to bullying prevention, then this will all have been more than worth it.”

Together Against Bullying is the first of many activities that will take place during National Bullying Prevention Month in October, which PACER developed in 2006. On Unity Day, Wednesday, Oct. 21, communities across the world will join together against bullying and unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion by wearing orange, planning events, and sharing information about the movement on social media.

“National Bullying Prevention Month has become a major international event,” said Paula Goldberg, PACER’s executive director. “We are proud to partner with Chegg, Facebook, Instagram, and Adobe, and hope that together, we can bring an end to this painful issue that affects far too many students and others.”
